Went in for a new battery for a watch that no one else could get the back off. Using a couple different tools, he was able to remove the back, replace the battery and clean up the watch..good as new! Will use them again definitely! read more

I stopped by to have Andrey look at an early 1800s English pocket watch. He spent about 10 minutes looking at it, and then told me that it would be many hundreds of dollars and six months to try to fix it. [[HIGHLIGHT]]I offered to pay him for his time, but he declined.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] I was hoping that the issue wouldn't be as potentially expensive as it turned out to be. I can't vouch for his repair services, but he is very legit. If I had a modern mechanical watch that needed service, I would definitely take it to him. read more

Andrey has retired, they have a person who can put batteries in, but they send everything else out.

Andrey replaced our watch glass and battery in a short time. He had a small pressurised can which was used to blow our debri inside before putting it back together. Great job and highly recommended. He is trained in watch repair and not a backyard mechanic. read more

Andrey nailed this one. I've got an automatic self winding watch that wouldn't run more than a day without it stopping unless I hand wound it. I've had it to my regular guy twice with no luck, and was at my wit's end when I found Andrey on Yelp and decided to give it one more try. I explained the issue and he popped the back off and took one look at it and said there were two gears on the self winding mechanism that had been swapped so the one that was supposed to catch the spring mechanism was slipping past. 10 minutes and $25 ( serious, $25) later I was on my way. I was a little skeptical at first since my normal guy is pretty good, but a week later it hadn't missed a lick!! This would have cost me at least a couple hundred bucks if I had sent it to the major online repair company I was looking at giving a trying, so to say I'm happy about what I got for what I paid would be a major understatement!! Now I've got a new go to guy on the right side of the river that very obviously knows his stuff. Sadly we have become a disposable society and true artisans like this have become exceedingly rare. Andrey is a highly talented and skilled watchmaker. I brought him a Movado mechanical automatic watch my mother had given me in 1969 when I graduated from college. It hadn't run in more than 40 years and one of the best watch repair shops in Portland refused to even try to fix it. Andrey not only repaired it and got it running well, but it even looks brand new. I took two watches in to Andreys for new batteries. He put those in both my watches. After I got home and wore them for a few days I noticed that every time I took them off and laid them down they stopped working.
