Anthropologie is a unique store. It's so whimsical. The layout is interesting--mixing clothes, cookware, home goods and beauty products. The jewelry selection is nice. I love to browse around. I think the prices are a little high. Many of the items would make great gifts! read more

I see Chaney every time I visit. She points me to items that she knows I will like and always finds the right size. I will visit whenever I am in town and I encourage you to as well. I was just in the area an stopped in. I can always find something to buy here as it is my style. Today I bought a summer top for a trip to New Orleans. The dressing rooms were stylish and clean. The employees were very attentive and personable. There were plenty of staff at the check out counter so there was no wait. If you were ever a fan of the magazine "Victoria" (NOT as in Secrets) but as in, Victoriana, you will love this store. If you have a unique and some what whimsical sense of style, you will love this store! If you adore patterns, rickarack, carpet bags, old fashioned things, girly stuff and quaint styles, you will love this store! Umm... I love this store. One draw back, if you are ample, you will find nothing to fit anyone over a size 12 at the largest which somewhat limits the experience. read more

I needed to purchase a gift card for a Christmas gift so I came to the South Park Mall location. As context, a woman ahead of me purchased one in slightly lower amount than mine and the Associate offered a small gift box and tissue paper so that she could wrap her GC nicely. Makes sense, right? Those small details matter, especially during these times and the holiday season. The next Associate called me. We started off pleasant - i was in a rush, but in a great mood. I requested a GC and she told me there were no more envelopes and asked "is that okay?" I replied, "there are no envelopes in the entire store?" She walks two feet to another cash register and finds at least two hundred small envelopes. Great, crisis averted. She waits for my payment to process and then hands me both the gift card and envelope as if I just bought a pack a gum. I take it but wonder why she didn't at least put the gift card in the envelope for me. I point to a small giftbox on display and clarify/ask if I can have one. She said "oh" and hands me one...."May I have a bag?" She stares and gives me this uncertain "oh, sure." I write this review because I was taken aback by how absent-minded and somewhat rude this associate treated me especially when having a point of comparison to customer who preceded me in line. I had to walk her through each step to ensure that I was a satisfied paying customer and even had to open the shopping bag she handed me to put my items in it. She didnt apologize. She didnt seem to care and acted like I was a bother for each question i asked - It was weird. Sour end to my first time at an Anthropologie store. Ah, Anthropologie. The scent of delicious candles and diffusers wafts through this pretty space...inviting you...no, beckoning you to come in and lay down your credit card. But no, Anthro, you won't rope me in to spending $150 for a cardigan. I'll save my time and money for the sale section, which can be plentiful. For granola chic, this is the place to be. Some brands are constructed better than others but the store is always creatively displayed and full of smiley employees. Online sale items vary greatly from in store items, so it's always worth to cross check if there's something you fancy. For great scents and an eyeful of fun housewares and girly duds, Anthro is always a fun stop. read more

This is a must-stop-by for my girlfriend every time we're at the South Park mall. I actually don't mind coming here all that much, which says a lot. It's a nice-sized store, but it doesn't feel like a heartless chain, if that makes any sense to you. The people who works there are nice and helpful and usually smiling, and it's just an chill environment. Definitely less mallrats in here than in a lot of the other stores at this mall that cater to the young female audience. As for the clothes, there's some pretty cool stuff in here, and I say this as an unknowing dude. And they have tons of options--it's just dresses and clothes but all sorts of accessories and nick-nacks. read more

I spotted some great sales today at anthro, which motivated me to write a review about the store. I have been a long time shopper of the south park location but has never really bought much of anything from the store, I think I own more non-clothing items than clothing-items from them. Reason being, I feel like even the sale items are not affordable enough. However, I spotted some great clearance items today and picked up 2 dresses and a skirt. My best experience was the fitting room. The lady who was working the fitting room(blonde, wavy long hair, petite, tan) was very courteous. I can easily say it is the top 3 fitting room experiences I've had in my life. She greeted me immediately after I walked into the fitting room area, took the clothes off my hands. Then she hung my clothes up in different sections in the room. Asked for my name, introduced herself and wrote my name outside the door and told me if i needed a different size or something to go with any piece, just let her know. Now, everything up until now may seem pretty standard for an athro experience, however...after being in the room for about 5 min, she checked on me by calling me by my first name, asked if i have any clothes i do not want and wants to take out from the fitting room...that is very nice of her, who doesn't want a less cramped space? lastly, when i was finally done with trying out my clothes, she was still very pleasant, said it was a pleasure and smiled the whole time. Let me just say, I am sure working the fitting room can be QUITE annoying, so she is definitely very good at it, I wish I could tip her! This location is smaller than the northlake location, mainly that is why they were running such a great sale, to clear out room for new items. read more

Did I just die and walk right into heaven?? I think I seriously just strolled right past the pearly gates and didn't even realize that I'd died because of the extreme awesomeness of this place. I've always said I don't have a style. I'm not too much of a girlie girl, and despite my tomboy ways, I've still got a very feminine streak inside me. I've never been able to determine if there was an actual style for me out there. I just wear what I like, and match most times, but probably don't at others. I'm an artist, and have always said I should have been a hippie. This place pulled me in with it's cookie jar owls, and fox door knockers from across the way. I had never heard of this majestic store, and my life changed the day I crossed it's threshold. I DO in fact, have a style. I probably would wear just about everything in this store, and would keep it until it fell apart. There are books, and comfy chairs throughout the place, and interesting decorations to pull you father into it's clutches... what's this in the back left corner?? This small magical room?? Why, it's a sales room!!! Oh my... Why after all this outpouring of love am I only giving 4 stars? The PRICES! Wow, this place is So expensive. I pride myself on being a freebie finder and coupon clipper... I just can't envision myself paying $120 for a shirt! Yikes!!! If I'm in the mood for some whimsical day dreaming or artsy window shopping, I'll definitely make a long and much needed stop in here. read more

Love this place! This is one of my favorite stores and I have a credit card bill to prove it. Although they do not have a men's section, it's such a cool store that my husband likes coming here too (there are comfy chairs that he can sit in while I shop around). This location is great, the space is large (as they usually are), and the employees are friendly. They have a great selection of clothes, accessories, jewelry, and things for the home. The prices are steep and I wish they would have more sales, more often...but during the times I splurge, I splurge here. For the eco-conscious in you, they can email you a receipt...whoo-hoo, save paper. read more

For those of you who have heard of this funky fresh store, then you know how great it is. For those of you who have never visited one, now would be a good time. While they have locations all over the country, those of you who shop there will know that each location is different. One of the main reasons why I love this store is because yes, it is corporate, but each store acts as it's own free-standing location. There are no stiff rules, no set floorplans, and you will always find unexpected vintage items and home decor. A walk around this store is truly a treat for the senses, with all their great lotions, candles, pretty patterned clothing and awesome jewelry. The store associates here are always accomodating and genuinely cheerful. You can tell that they enjoy their job. You will always find great items in the sale section, and you can almost guarantee that every time you come back to visit you will have a new batch of products to browse through. Guilty pleasure - walking thru Anthropology at SouthPark or in Southend - love the ambience. Excellent merchandising! Guilty consumerism - almost every single item is made in China! Even the faux French, Italian ceramics. Yikes!!!The clothing is mainly overpriced and overwhelmingly polyester and nylon. Some rayon, some cotton and a little silk. How about those faux labels? It seems at least these days that most items, no matter the groovy label name, are actually proctucts made of synthetic materials, by the "Anthropology"( or whoever runs the conglomerate) , in.... China! So I feel a little dirty spending money here - like I'm allowing myself to be mesmerized by the romantic atmosphere. Yet I'm also supporting something that does not smell as good as some of those wonderful perfumes and lotions.. ..and yes many of those are made in France and USA I think. And sometimes these beautifully packaged scents are in the sale area! Be strong. I appreciate the employees. And the fun discounts/sales. I implore this fashion company and most others to pursue higher ethics regarding the natural environment( the production of most fabrics is toxic... the transport sounds toxic too). I would give this store four stars for their merchandise. But only two for their customer service. This is a fabulous store, if you buy online. The service here is terrible. They seem put out to help with anything. My mother and I were there yesterday to purchase some serving platters, pitchers and a teapot. ( I created a wishlist for my wedding as they don't have a registry). The employees were too "busy" chatting to help us. When the salesgirl finally walked over to the table with dishes the girl stood with her hands on her hips sighing. It is a great store to go in to for inspiration or to purchase items. I like how they write your name on the door of the room you're in. Just let whoever is working the area know if you are walking out of the fitting area & want to keep your room. I'm a total fan of this store location! Great customer relations from the second you walk in their store. I was there today to pick up an online item I had ordered. There was a glitch somewhere.in the system and no one could quite figure out what gad happened with my order. Despite the glitch the associate took care to make me feel like she truly regretted the situation but wanted to make it right. She found what I gad ordered out on the floor and quickly packaged it for me to take. She apologized for the problem but didn't want to keep me waiting while the error was investigated. Kudos for such consideration and not making me feel as if I was the problem! I'll be back! read more

Very disappointed. I'm a long time Anthro Perks member and have had a terrible experience with a price adjustment this weekend. I was told last week when I bought items at full price to "just call in" if/when I received a coupon code. As I knew it was just a matter of time these full priced items could be purchased with a discount. This weekend they ran 20% off. I called the anthro customer service number and they could not do it because the items were purchased in store and not online. I called the store sat and was put on hold for 14 min and then hung up on. Called back and was told they can do it but I would have to wait for a register to open up. Called back Sunday and was told to just come in for the price adjustment (I was out of town in DC). Then I was told they would call me back to do the price adjustment when they were less busy yesterday... no one called. Every person I spoke to acknowledged they could do the price adjustment over the phone, but no one was doing it. 20% on a $400+ order is enough to want the adjustment. read more

I usually love coming to this store when I come to South Park mall, so this time I brought my little brother and girlfriend. We were just shopping around the mall around 8:30, 1/5/17. We walked in and got greeted by a woman in the front of the store, wearing glasses with dark hair and dark lipstick. We looked around the shop, looking for a candle for my grandma. After about 3 minutes of shopping, my brother told me that some lady was staring at us and wouldn't stop. I look over at her, and I realize it was the same employee who greeted us, and see that she was looking straight at us. I thought maybe he was just joking, so I go back to shopping. About a minute later, I look over at her just to check, and see that she is still staring, and making it obvious that she was. My girlfriend didn't notice until I pointed it out, and then she got very uncomfortable, seeing how blatantly obvious the employee was being. We then went to look closer to the front of the store, and the woman in glasses comes right near us, pretending to fix candles and looking straight at us. We were not able to shop comfortably, and felt as if she wanted us to leave. My girlfriend, my brother and I all felt very uncomfortable, so we decided to leave the store. As we were leaving, she followed us out, and wouldn't stop staring at us, even after we had left the store. It was a bad experience, leaving us with no desire to come back. In conclusion, my grandma didn't get the candle she wanted. read more
