I wanted to share with you the incredible customer service I received from Sabrina and Lourdes on Sat the 18th of January 2025. Sabrina greeted me when I entered the store and immediately had solutions for my returns and new purchases. I had placed an online order an hour earlier as I left the Independence Blvd Store that morning hoping to snag a clearance item. As I was directed to the section of the store for the patio cushions, I was going to return and purchase matching cushions, as the Pineville store definitely had more inventory! Again, Sabrina was training a new cashier and was so helpful to both of us as we navigated the process to get me out of there. In addition, Lourdes helped to expedite and bring the item that I ordered online to me, which was so generous! Both of these team members went above and beyond in customer service for me today and I wanted the district manager and the store manager to please recognize both of them and let them know that I'm telling everyone to shop at the Pineville store, even though I live Uptown. Thank you so much Sabrina and Lourdes for making my day and my interaction with you both so easy and enjoyable. read more

Horrible customer service! I ordered online (this process is horrible too but more to come on that) for curbside pickup. Wait for the email that confirmed my order was ready before driving to the store. Got to the store and followed the directions which entailed texting a number, having payment and coupon ready to go. Got my order placed in my car, drove home and found they gave me a cheaper cushion than what I paid for. I sent the store a text and they said "sorry, come back and we will exchange". Cool, drove all the way back and the lady comes outside at curbside and says she cannot exchange at curbside. What? I bought it curbside (which is dumb since I had to put my credit card in the website) and you just walked outside to tell me this so you can take the incorrect product inside, exchange it and come back with the correct item. Nope, can't do it but she tells me if I come back at 10am they will exchange it curbside and she would personally pull the items and exchange it. I get to the store this morning and text the same number and no response. So y'all are 1) liars 2) too busy to help correct your problem and 3) just not going to offer any service. However your staff is outside smoking at the front of the store (see attached pic) and no one has pulled up to curbside in the 40 minutes I've been sitting here so you can't be that busy. As I told the lady yesterday, I ha e a heart condition and only purchased from the store b/c of the curbside service. I was more than understanding and you all dropped the ball big time. Super large home store that is stocked with everything essential for your house. There is plenty of parking it is well lit however not quite the cleanest I'm assuming that's hard to do because it's a super huge warehouse. They could benefit from hiring more people as this is a huge store and they need cleaners as well more cashiers. The prices are decent and they have everything in stock you may want or need. It can be overwhelming but it's a store you must try. Enjoy! read more

I mentioned to a friend that I was headed to one of the big chains (rhymes with Sprawl-Mart) to pick up some furniture for my balcony. He said I should head here instead and what a great suggestion that was. GR is a MASSIVE store with not just outdoor furniture but they also stock tons and tons of really neat stuff for indoors too. In the lawn furniture section, I had a selection of prices colors and styles. I managed to narrow down to a neat and comfy pair of chairs with a foot rest and matching side table. All for less than a hundred bucks! What's not to love? Yep, it's probably only going to last a season or two. But do I really want to pay three times as much for something that will last forever? This is the kind of store that has 1,000 candles to choose from and the place you're going to find the candle that's the perfect shade of blue. They also have hundreds of flower pots, cushions for outdoor furniture, paintings, mirrors, baskets, pillows, desks, and the list goes on. Tips: -Come before noon and avoid weekend shopping if possible. -Do not bring non-passionate shoppers (husbands, children, etc.). -Have a list, wear sneakers, and be prepared to do some walking. You could spend hours in Garden Ridge. I go in there a couple of times a year and there are always new items in stock. It's a giant warehouse full of...all kinds of "stuff." This past weekend, we got a bathroom rug and some artificial flowers. This past summer, we got a great outdoor patio dining set. They've got everything from holiday merchandise to lamps to to bedding to rugs to furniture to artificial plants/flowers to luggage to kitchenware to art to candles. If you're looking for Christmas decorating ideas this season, stop by Garden Ridge. They have a huge supply of outdoor decorations, artificial trees, and row upon row of ornaments and other indoor decor. You can almost always find a sale at Garden Ridge, but sometimes you've gotta hunt and peck through their warehouse of merchandise to find just that thing you want/need at the price you want to pay. Having moved this past year I have had a few things I have been trying to locate so decided to check At Home out. We arrived at 9:30 on Sunday morning, and pretty much had the store to ourselves. It was great. However, unfortunately, and my main reason for the three stars, we were unable to find an employee to assist/help with any questions. Not one employee to be found, other than the cashier's when we checked out. At that point we were able to ask our questions, but who wants to go shopping again, especially in a store this size. Overall, I was impressed with what At Home has to offer and would consider coming back for something specific I am looking for due to the variety and prices. At Home is like a decoration warehouse! This particular location is great because they always keep products job stock! I've been to some locations that feel like they're closing because the stock is so sparse. I always go to At Home for my Christmas decorations because they keep up with the latest style and they're affordable! The store is usually neat and easy to navigate. My only recommendation for the company in general would be to offer price adjustments for recent purchases. Recently I purchased some Christmas decorations that went on sale the next day. Nice store. Lots of options and overall pretty organized. I got several things here for my home and I plan to go back. This store is huge!! Some of the aisles are really narrow. The carts are big and it would be impossible to have more than 2 carts on some of the aisles without having to have someone back their cart up. My only issue with this store is checking out. There was one cashier and 9 people waiting! When it was our turn they added another cashier and she kept yelling "NEXT!!" Several times even though she can tell we were going towards her. I work fairly close to "At Home" Recently I've been visiting there a lot......Christmas Stuff!!!!! My boss sent my co worker and I there to shop. THREE TIMES!! Her exact words "don't skimp on anything" Well! You've git it boss lol!! We filled several carts with all kinds of Christmas decor. Prices are great, there Christmas Trees are Awesome!!! Considering I had the company Credit card, I was able to splurge on whatever was necessary for her house....$1,245.64 to be exact. Word of advice. HOLY home decor! This place is enormous. Like IKEA enormous. I was truly shocked at how much product they have. Absolutely everything you can imagine from patio furniture to aisles and aisles and aisles of pillows, storage options, kitchenware, frames, decorative pieces, rugs, candles, the list goes on and on. However the selection could be better. I would spend every weekend here if I found more items that I like. It's my go to for storage items like baskets and plastic containers, but definitely not for more decorative pieces like pillows. The assortment is overwhelming because there is so much, but most of it is not stylish or looks really cheap. Do not go in here if you feel hungry or tired. I used to enjoy The Garden Ridge... they had a great selection of patio furniture, frames, home decor, etc. but I went there about a week ago and to my shock & surprise, thay've gutted the middle section out and they are selling clothing. They've got about 20 tables in the center of the building and there's clothing thrown on the tables, not hanging, just thrown on them. It looks like a damn flea market... just sad. It's a shell of what it used to be... and it looks like it won't be in business for long. The shelves were about 1/2 to 3/4 empty I could be totally wrong but it's very trashy looking now. This place can do no wrong!!!!! Well they did when the name was changed from Garden Ridge to "At Home" but I still call it Garden Ridge. Anywho, this is hands down in my opinion of course, the best home decor all in one store there is. And what's so amazing is you don't even care that the lines are forever long. You are just happy to have found all of your home and hearts desire in the super store. The staff is always helpful. I mean you can find anything. Where else can you see Christmas decor next to Halloween, next to Fall, next to Easter and don't forget Summer decor as well. It's Heaven. And don't forget to go to the back and find all types of clearance items. A pet peeve of mine with the store is that they put the big red clearance stickers on the front of the merchandise which makes in incredibly hard to get off. Don't know whose idea that was??!!! But it wasn't a smart one. It's always a good day at Garden Ridge. You rarely leave out of there empty handed. And if you do, you obviously didn't peruse the aisles long enough. read more

Need a lamp? A fake plant? A rug? A picture frame? holiday decor? This is your jam! I originally came to At Home during the holidays and I was in love with the variety of holiday decor they offer. During m recent visit (February) they had tons of St Patrick's day and Easter decor. In addition to holiday decor they offer a huge variety of nearly every home decor item (inside and out) you can think of. However, they don't offer much furniture. The pricing is very reasonable (more on the 'cheap' side) and the place is huge! I recommend coming here for something specifically in mind or you will become overwhelmed very fast. read more

If you are looking for home decor items, you definitely want to check this place out. It is a HUGE warehouse full of everything you could need for your home at awesome prices. It's not set up to look as nice as other decor stores, but if you know what you need and can visualize, you will have no problems here. I found a great floor vase and tons of garden items, plus some odds and ends like key hooks, vases and a really cute step stool so my vertically-challenged self can look out our peephole when someone's at the door. The store is so big that you may actually have difficulty finding specific items and they don't seem to really have many employees working in the store to ask. 5 stars for having everything you could ever want to decorate your home 4 stars for an easy place to get in and out of in Charlotte traffic! 3 stars because there's way too much stuff in there for only 4 employees I saw working the floor and only one at the register. I cannot imagine having to manage all of that stuff...so much crap. The prices are hit or miss. Stuff is junky or pretty nice. This isn't pottery barn quality ...however you can find some lovely pieces. Some of the rugs looked great and probably affordable & nicer than getting something rough from Ikea. I recently spent about 1 1/2 hours in this store with my mom. This was my first visit since the store name changed from Garden Ridge to At Home. The store is bright, spacious and fully stocked. There are many unique and chic items in this store! Mom and I found great deals in the 50% off aisle (red line items) and regular priced items as well. Well, once we arrived at the cash register, everything went WAY downhill. The "red line" items were clearly marked with a red line and stocked in the 50% off aisles, scanned at the regular price. I mentioned to the cashier that these items are clearly marked as 50% off. There were tons of items in the aisle marked with the "red line". The cashier called for a store manager who informed mom and me that even though an item is marked with a "red line" and stocked in the clearance (50% off aisle), the SCAN PRICE is the price that will be honored. What??? Are you serious??? This is not only poor customer service, false advertisement, and deceptive business practice. This is utterly confusing to the average customer. The store manager referred me to the "fine print" on their 50% off signs which states "Items must scan at discount to qualify. Price checkers are available throughout the store". In my home State, stores are required BY LAW (per Consumer Affairs) to honor posted sale prices and/or sticker prices on merchandise. A cash register scanner DOESN'T take precedence over POSTED sale and / or clearance signs! Perhaps the (not so undercover) undercover store security can spend some time assisting with price labels instead of following folks around the store. At Home used to be our go to place for home decor because it WAS cheap stuff cheap. Now it seems they raised prices but not quality.

Not very impressed with my last two trips here. The prices seem to be getting higher and the quality is diminishing. I asked for help on my second trip and the two ladies were too busy talking to really care about my needs. Then I had to wait in a line of about 20 people when they had one cashier working. They ended up calling two more over, but it took way too long. read more

The store is dirty and junkie with pallets blocking aisles and merchandise on the floor. For such a large store, they have a boring selection of low quality, overpriced merchandise made almost exclusively in China. Almost everything in the store could be purchased elsewhere for less than their regular prices. Today, they are having a clearance sale with all merchandise marked with a red slash through the upc half off, except not really. After sorting through the mess, I found 3 prints on a Paris theme that I wanted to get for my daughter. All in the same section of clearance merchandise, all with red Sharpie mark through that appeared to be made by the same hand. After checking out I looked at my receipt to find the most expensive item charged at full price ($29.99, half the total of my order). A cashier called next and I stopped and ask him why. He told me if I looked at the sign he would see that it said that prices that don't ring at clearance are the price that comes up. I asked for a refund and he told me to go to the back of the line and wait. He was rude and seemed to imply that I was the one who marked through the price. While this implication annoyed me, being sent to the back of line to fix a mistake made by an At Home employee that made me livid. I was going to get this name to let the Manager know that he had treated a customer rudely. When my turn came, after some delay, I returned to the same register and saw the name Rashawn and identified him as manager. He confirmed he was the Manager and I asked him if he treated all of his customers rudely. He offered no apology and no explanation and I asked who above him I could speak with. He said "no one, I'm the boss". Rashawn is a very poor example and an embarrassment to At Home. He acted as though my business wasn't appreciated and treated me as if I were a criminal or in the wrong. I will not be returning to this store so long as he remains "in charge". I will also advise all of my social media contacts and every place I can post a review how I was treated at this store. Thank you read more

A bit of a flea market feel, with some great deals to be found. I don't shop everything here, but I'm partial to the patio umbrellas. I have two decks that I use for entertaining...and umbrellas can often get in the way. I love the off-set umbrellas, but they are generally an arm-and-a-leg in price. Garden Ridge saves the day by selling the umbrellas for $80. Since I use a minimum of four on my decks, this saves me a huge amount. *If you're like me, and like using these umbrellas, make sure to attach them very securely and to put the umbrellas down on windy days. read more

I realize this is a big store that tends to have a great deal of customers come through. But you know what words I don't mind hearing? "Unfortunately we don't have that information." You know what other words I don't mind hearing? "Apologies for the mistake. That's not our usual practice." I've visited this store 3 times. Only 3 times. First time nothing unusual happened. I walked around. Purchased a few things. I guess things get complicated when you ask questions. 2nd trip (about 3 weeks ago): I returned some items and one of the items could not be found because I wasn't charged for it. Not a big deal but it took them forever to resolve the matter, calling over about 4 people to take care of this and figure it out; when this could have been finished after I left. Why? I had somewhere to be and I believe my actions and words were pretty obvious. "That's okay" Checking the time on my phone... looking like I'm in a hurry. Again, "that's okay" 3rd Trip: I went after Christmas to get some things for next years Christmas. Who doesn't love a good sale? I wanted some blinking lights and asked the sales person on the floor if they have the blinking lights or how do I find them. She looked for some for maybe 5 seconds, gave up and then told me I could pull the lights out of the boxes, plug them in a socket nearby to see which ones perform this operation.... are you serious??? I realize it's not her job to know about every product, but the LEAST she could have done was say, "unfortunately, we're unsure of how the lights run" or ask someone else who works there to check on this... I don't know. I'm not asking too much. I've worked retail before and I got cranky sometimes, especially as a teenager, but hell it's my job to give an adequate response. You may not have the answer, and that's fine but plug in all the different lights?? Really lady??? To top it off, the same lady who told me to plug in all the lights to test, told me the ornament storage boxes were also included in the 50% sale. Cool. Make my way to the register to check out and the lady at checkout says the ornament boxes aren't included in the sale. I told her the lady on the floor told me they were. Shes says, "they're not". No sorry or who told you this. Smh... customer service is clearly not on their priority list. I guess it doesn't have to be. They know they're going to get customers in regardless. But don't let some other comparable big chain store open up with the same goods AND offer good customer service, because then At Home will be out of business. I can't say I am through with this place. I'm not aware of any other spots that offer Christmas decorations or just home stuff at more affordable prices. I bought some Halloween lights there a few weeks ago that did not work for, $3.99. Went back to exchange them for better quality ones without my receipt, they said they could not refund. I thought that was petty of them to not take them back. They still got my sale for the better quality ones. The clerk said she was sorry. The worst customer service ever, don't expect an inch of a service, It's so sad the place has such a cool stuff

In the past two weeks, I have gone to both Garden Ridge stores. It is a tremendous difference between the two. The southern store, is very organized. I can spend hours upon hours in the different areas looking at merchandise for each room of the house. From cookware to holiday items to rugs for my foyer. And my last trip was just amazing. I had to return to select items that were a better match for my decor. The sales person....simply glowed and sparkled with the greatest smile. She handled the return and provided great directions to different areas I needed to visit. Upon checking out.....I was fortunate enough to have the same salesperson...this time glowing even more as she had spent time rearranging trees that were full of glitter to keep the store in order!!! I will return to the store for the great merchandise and the sparkling service offered by Ms. Glitter!!! read more

Garden Ridge is not the same...it has really gone downhill. It seems that they have bought out other stores of items that did not sell...junky items. Every time I go in there I can never find anyone to help me and they only have one register open. Their shopping carts are all rusty and broken. I miss the old Garden Ridge. read more
