We came here (11:13 am on 5/17) during when the State said some businesses can open during the quarantine. We wanted to walk around the international market since we have not been here in some time. We came here to look at some clothes. We saw a sign that said 40% off at the front. Ok! I love sales and one of my favorite stores being Anthropologie, why not? We headed to the sales rack. I bought some clothing but then one of the pants fitted too small for me. So I needed to return them. The next day, we returned to international market. We went to see what sort of pants can we find to exchange for the previous purchase. During our search this one security lady who looks like Laura Dern with short wavy red and burgundy hair said out loud, "Find everything alright?" We said yes. As we headed over to the register for check that security lady looked at us suspiciously. Casting at us a nasty look at us as if we did something wrong. Does Anthropologie know they have people like that working for them??? I love Anthropologie. I love their clothing and their lifestyle personal items. But interacting with that person made it a more bitter experience. read more

My favorite store, Anthropologie at Ala Moana Mall. Almost everyday I come here. Ethnic music and scent of spices... I love dress here. If I have time I will stay here all day long. I went to Anthropologie at the International Marketplace to shop around. I had a very old gift card in my wallet that I found at home while moving. I never used the gift card, it was still in the card and I completely forgot about it. I couldn't use the gift card that day, but the store manager Shelley said she'd look into it for me and try to get me a new one that I can use. She took my information down and reached out to her corporate office for assistance. She emailed me and kept me in the loop each step of the way. After a couple of weeks, she got me a new gift card to use. She was very friendly and professional. read more

Nice, well-made women's clothing and small household decorative goods and furnishings located on the second floor inside near the elevators nearer the mountain side entrance of the International Marketplace here in world famous Waikiki. I tried on a couple jackets in different colors made of materials that I love - chenille jacket, pearl and glass baubles denim jacket - and kinda tend to think this brand manufacturer styles clothing maybe more suitable for bodies that are more straight up and down taller rather than curvy shorter like 5' 2.5" me teehee This is not really the place to find clothing styles for curvy bodies although I did see a cute purply dress with more of an eased A-line (curvy so shows the) waist and cute mildly billowing sleeves. Have to say that I love the fanciful displays and general look of the overall store. Today there's a HUGE whale visible outside from the right side picture window; inside the main area are ocean colors-inspired wooden shape hangings. Refreshing, eye catching, and cute! Front cashier is inside on the left with new arrivals just in front. Not so obvious sales people walk around with you making sure your needs are met. This store is my guilty pleasure. Even entering the store is an experience. All the senses are enticed. I think I remember reading an article about User Experience where the people who own Anthropologie talked about the importance of the experience, the sounds, the smell, the aesthetic of their stores. They do a great job at creating a beautiful experience for anyone who enters their doors. There is an eclectic array of clothing, some chic trendy jewelry pieces, candles, skincare, agendas to keep your schedule in check, kitchenware (cups, plates, bowls, chic and trendy kitchen items). It's a beautiful store with beautiful things. While you can come across some solid deals, it's not a thrift store. I sometimes come here just to walk around and look at all the beautiful things, even if I don't end up always buying something. This location is my favorite on island. It's one of the larger locations and they have so much to tempt you. The staff at this location is warm and inviting. They are there if you have questions but they don't smother you if you know what I mean. They allow you to peruse the store independently but are attentive and willing to answer any questions or help you style an outfit...or room. Such a beautiful experience. read more

i agree with christy the reviewer below. the wiman behinf the counter register at 11:45 am hawaii time on jan 1st was so unprofessional. i would have complained but she wasnt wearing a name tag. she had black hair, maybe late 30s mid 40s. ive been to anthropologie in palo alto and nyc and many other similar stores. she just ignored me when i was the only customer at the counter (wasnt busy at all), amd proceeded to check me out when she noticed i was stull waiting. then while she checked me out, she said not one word to me, not even a thanks at the end. im from hawaii originally and conflict avoidant so for me to complain takes a lot. read more

Never having been in an Anthropologie shop before, and filled with curiosity, I initially entered this shop at the brand new and improved International Market Place (IMP) in Waikiki, Honolulu, Hawaii to escape the August heat. The cool air conditioning embraced me as I browsed the spacious and beautiful environment, I felt a comfortable ambiance with the natural wood flooring, tasteful artificial flowers, and calming earth tones. This temporary relief from the Summer humidity served another purpose: I needed to spend $10 to get a parking validation for the first hour free and $2 per hour for the next two hours in the parking structure. I thought I could quickly grab a small dish soap, candle, coffee mug, or hand lotion, but I was distracted by the fashionable women's outfits and jewelry. Looking for a birthday gift for my sister, I thought that the kitchen spray might fit the bill, but the lemon fragrance wasn't in stock. They only had the fig scent at the moment. Jordan, one of the employees, was nice enough to offer assistance, research the product, and provided options such as having it shipped to my home from the warehouse. She was so efficient and helpful! I was impressed with her confidence and professionalism! She asked for my name and followed up with me promptly. The other staff, such as the cashier, also seemed genuinely happy to work here at this fun shopping oasis. Maybe because it was Opening Day (8-25-16)? Everyone seemed so friendly! That's how I learned that the store donates 10 cents to a local charity for every shopping bag that a customer doesn't take! Cool, huh? I sure am looking forward to returning to Anthropologie on the second floor of the International Market Place! It's going to be my go to shop when I need a parking validation for the IMP parking structure! I stopped by to pick up three products that weren't available at the Ala Moana Anthropologie. I was so happy that they had it at the Waikiki shop. This Anthropologie has the same as well as different products from the Ala Moana store. This store has a natural, cozy, and welcoming, ambiance and is quite roomy. There was a nice sales area in the back where they just brought out new items, too. There are also a lot of dressing rooms, for you to try on their unique and stylish clothing. The sales associates here are helpful, as well. If you don't like crowds, and want to shop for clothing, beauty products, accessories, kitchenware, and bedding, this store is for you. Unfortunately, pretty abysmal service at this location. Attempted to purchase an item, and was stuck waiting in line to check out with no other customers and not a single employee in sight. There was one individual who kept wandering around and folding clothes who, presumably was an employee. However, they made eye contact with us multiple times, and just wandered away. It wasn't until my bf flagged them down that we realized that this person was, in fact, an employee and had seemed to just blatantly turn a blind eye. Ever wonder why this store is empty? You may find your answer in the poor--or should I say... non-existent--service. If I hadn't been looking for this specific item, I would have just left long ago. read more

When I was in grad school on the East Coast, my absolute favorite store was Anthropologie. I would frequent the sale clothing section and would buy all the cute knick knacks. I would adore their home section but could never justify buying anything since I would have to either ship it home or give it away before I left. I would long for the day that they would make a home in Hawaii. It's been a couple of years and Anthropologie has finally come to Hawaii! I especially love this new location in the International Market Place! It's large, open and and never crowded. I love shopping their sale section when they run their additional 40% off sale days! I was so happy to finally be able to go to this Anthropologie. This Waikiki location is bigger than Ala Moana's Anthro, and they seem to have a greater selection of clothing and home items, but they lack greatly in customer service. So disappointed in the way I was treated. No one greeted any of us, and I felt as if I was bothering the staff when I asked a question. Even when I made a purchase, the ladies were still very unfriendly. Customer service is so poor here that I won't be back. I'll stick to my favorite Ala Moana Anthropologie and the friendly gals there. read more

Compared to the Ala Moana location, the Waikiki Anthropologie has subpar customer service. I have browsed in this location numerous times and have NEVER been greeted by any of their sales people. They were often talking near the register and couldn't be bothered by my presence. Very disappointing! I can now understand why the store is often empty with only a few customers. There are other stores that are more worthy of shopping at who actually care about providing quality customer service. I will never shop here again and take my business elsewhere! read more

Customer service is non existent . Went to this store with my daughter. After looking around , we went to the fitting room where a RUDE white lady wearing orange shirt ( did not get her name ) "helped " her out. I asked her if I can go inside the fitting room with my daughter but rudely answered back and said I can't. She looks ANNOYED. Excuse me? Rude sales associate who should not be in customer service having that attitude!!!! Anthropologie in Hawaii is known for their unique bohemian style clothing, beautiful jewelry, dish ware, and amazing window displays, but unfortunately they are not known for giving great customer service. However, today's (7/30/17) shopping experience was so exceptional! The customer service young lady that helped me at the register was so polite and friendly. She had a bright smile and warmth to her personality. I regretfully didn't catch her name though. I shopped around 4:30pm and I hope management can figure out who was at the register at that time and gave such great customer service, and recognize her in some way. I love shopping at Anthropologie, but I don't usually like the customer service. I've been to the Ala Moana store and this one located in the International Market Place. I've had numerous bad customer service at both locations, but continue to give them my business because I love their store. I often leave a little frustrated with their lack of friendliness and attentiveness to customers, and it ruins the whole shopping experience. I often wonder why it is so hard to smile, be genuinely friendly and helpful when it's their job to do so. Management needs to make great customer service a top priority so customers want to come back and they increase their sales to stay in business. Please let the young lady who helped me today become the standard as to how to treat customers. Today's shopping left me feeling happy, and that's how it should be.
