I love Anthropologie! I've been a customer for several years and the clothes, goods, and household items I have purchased are still in great condition. Tonight, I went shopping and the staff were friendly and asked to take my clothes and prep a dressing room for me. They remembered my name and made me feel welcome. While I was trying on clothes, they checked in a few times to see if I needed anything or if they could grab items that o wasn't purchasing. They helped looked for items in different sizes for me. The layout of the location in Green Hills is fantastic. It's spacious and you don't feel crowded by other customers. There is a parking lot right next to the store front which is super convenient I found some great purchases and look forward to coming back in the future. read more

Racial Profiling I've visited this store several times since moved back to the area. This is the 3rd time I've been racially profiled. I decided to stop in after work yesterday and shop for some Spring items I saw on the website. I was greeted (which was nice) and said hello back. Then was followed around the store repeatedly asking to take my items to a dressing room. I know this is common but I said "no, I shop here often and know my sizes and want to match some things up." And one lady proceeded to follow me, literally hover over my shoulder and continued to walk behind me through the store. I reported this to the cashier. But wanted to write a review, since this has happened to me multiple times. I won't be back and won't spend more money here. I've shopped in Seattle & Dallas where's I've previously lived and always had great experiences. This location gives racist vibes. And I'm reaching out to headquarters. My daughter said this store was "ME". She hit the nail on the head! I'd never heard of Anthropologie before, but I got hooked. As far as the prices go, it's comparable with any other boutique in Green Hills. I found the customer service to be excellent and very helpful as I shopped. I purchased about a half dozen items, one of them was a darling straw summer bag (tan/black and very unique) in the clearance section for $38. Talk about a winner, winner, chicken dinner! It really IS a sharp bag! Now I know about the Anthropologie store, when I'm in Nashville, I will stop in to check out what gem I can find. Very cool store, for all ages! read more

Anthro always has me in a tizzy as I literally want 90% of the store's merchandise. As Cynthia T mentioned, you can score some smashing deals in the clearance room (back left of the store) that range from getting 60% off AG jeans or deeply discounted Plenty by Tracey Reese dresses to snagging a beautiful duvet and rugs at reasonable prices. The merchandising at this location is well executed and makes for a very enticing shopping trip for us shoppers! Price points run the gamut as you can find some very reasonably items to some rather high-end prices. I personally love all of their beautiful dresses, jackets, and accessories. They always offer cute gifty or coffee table reads too. This is a great place to purchase a gift for a feminine female in your life. WARNING: it's tough to stick to your budget in here so be prepared to eat Ramen for a week. That outfit was totally worth it... read more

I usually don't review retail stores like Anthropologie because, well, they all kind of blend together. However, I had such a great experience at this store so it sparked some review inspiration. Anthropologie has a cult following and is always full of beautiful things. The price tags are on the higher end, but I always hit up their sales. They often had 30-40% off sale styles and this location always has a great sale selection. Out of all of the stores I have visited, this is one of my favorites. It is pretty big and styled very nicely. It is always neat and they have a lot of dressing rooms so I never find myself waiting in line. The staff is the main reason for writing this review. They are super friendly and helpful. I know what it's like to work retail. The hours are long and you get really tired of dealing with customers. However, I am always greeted with smiles here and upbeat personalities. But not in a pushy way. They are there to help if you need it and are quick to get a dressing room organized for you. On this particular visit, I found a pair of pants I had spotted on sale online. The store had the next size up for me but they fit pretty well. They were chinos and I know this fabric can easily stretch. I went to check out and asked the cashier what she thought about the size. She said I 100% wouldn't be happy with that size because they would stretch within an hour of wearing them. She quickly hopped online, saw they had my correct size, and ordered them for me with free shipping. She could have easily just said the pants were fine and rushed me out of line, but she took the time to get me the perfect pants. And she was right! The pants fit perfectly but definitely stretched out a bit. The next size would have been huge after a day of wear. It's little things like this that really make a shopping experience great. You don't always get this at bigger retail stores. read more

I was so happy to find an Anthropologie store in Nashville. I have Anthropologie housewares, pjs, clothing, accessories--I love this store and everything they offer. My only gripe is that their prices make me cringe. Their clothes are so overpriced, yet I end up breaking out that charge card every time for that must-have dress. Or shirt. Or skirt. Even their sale items are still expensive. Last time, I spent over a hundred dollars for a very simple knee-length black cotton dress. It really wasn't worth that much, but, dangit!, everything is so cute! Their selection is unbeatable. read more

GET ME OUT OF HERE BEFORE I SPEND ALL MY MONEY! As if the main floor wasn't tempting enough, the sale room becons me every Tuesday when markdowns are generally made (online, too ladies) I spend a significant percentage of my paycheck here on a regular basis and don't blink an eye or feel guilty doing it because Anthropologie pieces are well-made and unique, a constant go-to in my closet for dressing up or day to day. My favorite 'brands' at Anthro are Floreat, Guineviere, Idra and Yoana Baraschi. Side Note: Not a big fan of their shoes which are a little too boho-urban chic (I.E. Mary Kate/Ashley Olsen circa 2007-present) for my taste *CRINGE* Some shoes even have chunky short heels like mary jane style that even kindergarten-aged children would despise. I would love to see Anthro expand to some better looking heels/wedges. Boots are OK but to me tend to look slighly masculine. HOWEVER sweaters, skinny jeans, sleeveless blouses - I don't want to look anywhere else! read more

Anthropologie is so much fun to visit, granted after I figured out which door I was supposed to go into. It just not your regular clothing store and it's certainly a breath of fresh air amongst the boutiques in Green Hills that insist of being carbon copies of one another. It's certainly boutiquish in clothing that is fashionable, unique, and expensive. They have candles and house wares, perfumes and books, and what came to be my favorite thing: knobs. Knobs, knobs, knobs. They have spinning displays of some of the most unique door knobs, dresser knobs, and light stitch covers. These along with decorative coat hooks could certainly make your home feel distinctive. There were some knobs that reminded me of antlers, and then they had the same antlers covered in red which made them look like coral. I could write a small dissertation on the selection, but I'll spare you. You should check it out. read more

It's a chain, but it's new to Nashville. I had shopped here in Pittsburgh and New York and loved it, subscribed to their catalogue, and whined about the prices. It's different having one in town because you can go to the sale section and there are bunches of bargains there. They often mark things down by 50% or more, so it brings the prices down to normal! I have got some good deals here, like a skirt for $10. If you shop regular price, the selection is beautiful and quite unique. There's not really anywhere else in Nashville you can find as many cute flirty dresses and tops. The home stuff is also very cool, in a trendy shabby chic way, and I have found some comforters and duvet covers there on sale too. read more

Two-Point-Take: 1. Clearance Area is back left of store. 2. Good quality items that come at a higher price. I love the set up of the store, it's so inviting and your eyes can feast on all the wonderful colors from their clothing to their accessories. For my personal shopping preference I feel that their items are a bit high at regular price so I tend to navigate toward their clearance items in the back. But, I have a purse from Anthropologie and it has lasted me for over 8 years and counting. That means something when it comes to good quality for the price! read more

I used to work here years ago but boy has the customer service gone down hill. I walk in and get looked at by two employees at the door but no hello or even the slightest smile. I gathered a couple more things to buy and went to the register. The girls at the register were also very unhappy looking and unfriendly. I had a bag from a couple days ago with a couple items I didn't even unwrap from the tissue paper yet. Literally 2 days after I buy them they are now 20% more off. I know they refuse the price adjust so I said I want to return these and I'm going to buy them again. Of course, to spite me, as if it's coming out of their pocket they said they can't do that, it's their policy. WHAT EVER HAPPENED TO CUSTOMER SERVICE?!? I run a company and I would never treat a customer like that. Needless to say I didn't buy the additional items. There were going to make more for helping me with my request. I know my pocketbook won't affect their company but I don't think I'll be shopping here anymore. It's overpriced and pretentious anyway. read more

The staff was friendly, the store was very well decorated and cleaned. I came in to purchase a throw blanket and the only one the had in store had a small stain on it so the manager was gracious and offered $15 off. Great customer service. I will definitely be shopping here again. read more

Anthropologie is one of my favorite places but not always for the clothes. Sometimes I just like to look at the house goods or the books or maybe even the displays. This store has been a muse for so many ideas for my style. Recently, I had a circumstance with a need for special customer service. The GH store did not have the merchandise size that I needed and they called all over the country (yes, I said country) to find the size I needed, Within one week I was called by a store in NY state and had my item within that week. This store is my true definition of happiness!!! Everytime I go in here I better have the afternoon free because I look at my watch and it's definitely an hour later. The aesthetic of this brand is perfection. Everything flows so well from home decor to clothes. And it has been that way since I first discovered it in high school. Whoever is in charge of visual here is a gift from God. Also their candles and books are amazing. This Nashville store always has the best selection in the sale room!! I absolutely love this store. You can find everything from work appropriate clothing to Saturday casual. They also have housewares which are absolutely adorable. I wish I could buy everything in this store but unfortunately this place is pretty expensive. If you love unique pieces but can't afford anthropologie's regular prices, hit up the sales. So very impressed with this store and their customer service. Was in this week and couldn't find a 3rd item I was looking for that their inventory said was in stock. We gave up, and after going ahead and just purchasing the 2, later that day a salesperson (I think Megan?) must have somehow found the 3rd item.. she took the initiative and looked up my phone number through the Anthroperks and left me a message that it had turned up and put it on hold for me. I was very glad for Nashville to gain an Anthropologie after much web surfing and visiting their stores while on the road. As Mariela C. states below, the Nashville location is somewhat toned down from other stores. However, it does have a good array of tragically cute dresses and random enough it works house wares. Their candles generally smell great and if you need some new knobs to spruce up a piece of furniture this is great place to check. I love this store! They have amazing finds and everyone that works there is really nice. Michelle, the personal shopper, is absolutely delightful! She is my go-to lady for everything! They carry a ton of different brands: Joe's Jeans, Velvet, Deletta, Fei, Splendid...and the jewelry selection and home accessories are wonderful. Though I am a bigger fan fAnthropologie's little sister Urban Outfitters, I do love the fact that it has found a home in Nashville. I will say, however, that Anthropologie definitely caters to its crowd, and I'm guessing for fear of scaring squeamish Nashvillians it has toned it down quite a bit for its Nashville location (if you want to go to a funkier Anthropologie, try anywhere in California). Nonetheless, Anthropologie in Green Hills still has a funky array of cooking ware, aprons, random letters, quilts, coats, dresses, things with frills, bedroom stuff, and a whole lot of other random stuff that you just have to check out for yourself. I think that there is no better place to go hunting for a birthday or such present for a friend that you know is cool and fashion forward, but you just don't know well enough to come up with something on your own. It's a regular menagerie of urban meets housewife meets hippie meets chic all in one. Word of warning, some stuff is really pricey, so look at the tag before you get too excited. read more

The clothing selection is awesome -- lots of contemporary, comfy and chic attire. And there's a large sale room in the back that is full of good deals. Housewares, jewelry, lotions, candles and more fill the attractive space. This is the kind of store that will make you crave things that you don't need...a terrific shower curtain, a colorful set of coffee cups, an hourglass, a chair in a really cool fabric, to name a few. A fun place to browse and one of my favorite places to buy. read more

Earlier this week I visited the Hill's Center Anthropologie located in Nashville, TN. I had found a belt that I was interested in buying but there was no price tag. I figured since it wasn't busy (it was about 10:30 in the morning) the lady at the counter could probably find the price for me. Boy was I wrong. Not only did she complain that it would take soooo long to look up the price but also didn't realized that I had other clothes ready to purchase and was not at all willing to help me. My mother and I are very loyal customers however this incident was less than satisfactory. I have worked in retail before and I know that the customer is always right. I didn't address my problem with the lady at the register; I was completely caught off guard by her unwillingness to assist me. I in no way wanted to inconvenience her, like I said the store was not busy so I figured it wouldn't be a big deal. I will think twice about spending my money there from now on. read more
