The actual store it self is great unless you are the sale room. It needs more space. I have found out of town Anthroplogie stores to be friendlier. Not sure if it the location of the store, if they hire people based on a certain personality, or what it is but the people who work here could be friendlier. If I could wait for shipping to get here things would be different, also I am not paying for shipping. When I do go into the store it is usually hit and miss, someone will ask me how I am or I completely ignored. The location is great but I dread going in. The store closes at 7:00pm. The sign at the front door said, "Enjoy 20% off all home items." I walked in at 6:45pm. The employee near door kindly greeted myself and another couple walking in. She let us know, "We are closing in 15 minutes." Not a problem. I was just browsing. At about 6:50, a different employee let me know "They were closing soon." I was not the sole customer in the store. At 7:53, I was reminded again by a passing employee that they were closing soon. I found a nice glass pitcher and took it to the register area at 7:55pm. I asked the cashier if I could set it down and make one last quick circle around one corner of the store to look at the home accessories. I was back by 7:58 to pay. The pitcher was $22.00 with 20% off. I said, "This is $4.40 off, correct?" She responded , "I don't know, I'll have to ring it up." 1. I felt very pressured to hurry up and GET OUT." I understand that they are ready to get out of there but they sure made me feel unwelcome. I'm sure this happens frequently with less empathetic customers. But to make me feel unwelcome. NO. It's not like I was trying on a mountain of clothing. 2. The cashier cannot do math. She was abrupt with her responses to my questions. She was obviously wanting to get me out quick. She did have time to ask me if I was a member and would I like to sign up. I should have responded with, "I'd love to join!" She would have choked. Haha. On my way out the door, the (what seemed like) the supervisor was at the front door with her ear mic on relaying the countdown of customers to the back counter employees and barking close down procedures to them. We shopped here yesterday. (We were looking for cabinet pulls, and found EXACTLY what we needed.) We were greeted with winning smiles from two different Anthropologie associates, and were shown precisely what we had gone in to find. Both my husband and I LOVE the selection of scented candles here, by the way. ("Fireside" is one of our two favorite scents; we routinely burn Anthropologie's "Fireside" candles when we visit our 1919 log cabin in Arkansas. But for our historic home here in Oklahoma City? I love (LOVE) this store. The staff is oh-so- friendly and maybe a little too helpful . They always give amazing tips and encouragement to get out of my style comfort zone. This is specifically a review of the service at the Classen Curve Anthropologie. I am writing this after just leaving because the service was so incredibly bad. My sister asked specifically where the black AG jeans were. Not one but TWO sales associates said, very slowly: "ummm we don't have any". My sister finally prompted "no black jeans at all in the store?" "Um no, we're out". No suggestions or alternate solutions. After another similarly fruitless exchange a salesperson finally said "we have black velvet?", so props to you for kind of sort of half assing your job, which was more than any other associate did! Finally my sister asked where the AG jeans were, and the associate looked surprised and said "oh, they are here" and LO AND BEHOLD: black AG jeans. The associate said "these are considered pants, not jeans" which is ridiculous - how about "we may be out of jeans but we have these black AG pants, want to take a look?" Look, I don't know if they were slow, stoned, or just stupid (do you really want your sales associates to give off that vibe?!?) but I have not had such a frustrating experience in a very long time. Not only am I not in the habit of writing reviews, I am especially not in the habit of writing bad reviews, which I am doing in the parking lot of the store because I am so frustrated by the level of service (that is: next to none) at this particular store. Hey, Anthropologie Classen Curve: just because they are seasonal hires doesn't mean you shouldn't train them! The store wasn't busy and they weren't with other customers, there was no excuse for "uh, we are out of all black jeans everywhere in the store" with no alternatives given and no real help. It was like pulling teeth to find the black AG "pants", even! Fix it, managers. Train your staff appropriately. Unacceptable in a business. read more

First, let me say that the staff here is unfailingly nice. I've never been to an Anthro where I felt more like a welcome guest. I've never been here with more than one item in my hands for more than 3 minutes before being offered to put my items in a room. Also, side note, everyone who works here looks like a model. I usually start in the sale section and work my way out of there. I can always find cool stuff in the sale area, and that's much more in my price range. I also like to go at an off time, like 11A on a Tuesday, so hopefully I have the sale rack all to myself. That is not to say I can always find what I want here. Like most stores that are this nice in this, the most upscale part of town, the sizes tend to be concentrated in the 4's and 6's. I guess because if you have much money to shop here, you can also afford to attend regular Pilates classes and buy all your groceries from Whole Foods? I'm always surprised to see lots of 26's and 27's, and no 31's or 32's. But then again, it's better than some of the shops, so I'll take it. I always like the sweaters, the PJs, the home stuff, and the books and gifts. These things are always fun here no matter what size you are! If you're up for shopping at Antrho, I also highly recommend Route 66 at 50 Penn Place. She has similarly wonderful things, more high end designers, and is locally owned and operated. read more

This Anthro is among the best of the best. The store is intentionally and creatively setup (I'd love to shadow their window display team someday,) the staff is kind and so helpful and most importantly their sales are killer! Everything from casual chic to what you'd wear to a wedding to pjs and perfumes and accessories of plenty can be found here. Jenny Hartsell helped me in a crazy rush to find an outfit today (I forgot my dress in Tulsa!) and I'm absolutely charmed by her! You know what I mean about the sale section at most anthros being so narrow and tiny. Not this one! It's a bargain paradise! I have always loved Anthropologie. Not for their amazing clothes, from what I understand their L fits about an 8/10 - so this plus sized gal doesn't fit in their clothes, but for the housewares and accessories. Antrho is a little steep when it comes to price, unless you can find some clearance items. There are some items however that are worth the price since they are unique and very well crafted. Anthto carries my favorite lotion and some super fun housewares, trendy to classy jewelry, cook books, and fun frames and textiles. I really love the style you find at Antrhopology. I was tickled to find an Anthropologie here in OKC. I'm not quite sure why it took me so long to go in. But today I wandered in before grocery shopping. I really was so happy that I did. I scored a lip balm that smells like a spa for less than $4 and some super fun ceramic measuring spoons for my friend getting married $18. The sales associate was very friendly and signed me up for their VIP customer program. The layout of the store is very pleasing to the eye unfortunately it's really warm. It's blazing hot out today, I doubt an ice factory could keep it cool on a day like today. read more

I love this store! If I was skinnier and had lots of money, I would buy everything in here. It is a mix of vintage, feminine, and classy clothes, dishes, bedding, etc. My favorite section is the dishes and kitchen accessories. They sell ceramic egg cartons and pint sized berry baskets. I have bought them both. They also sell measuring spoons made of actual spoons and measuring cups made of actual cups. Pretty cute. They have a great sale room for clothes and accessories. Nice sale selection, but this anthro is pretty small. I still found some hottie jeans and a sexy shirt for under $60. That makes me happy.

Anthropologie is the brain child of Urban Outfitters and the sister company of Free People. They normally have very elaborate visual displays that look like an arts and craft project from Pinterest. Seriously, it can be eye catching because you have to look really closely to see what materials are used :) The styles you can find in this store? Think vintage Suzy home maker, luxe boho chic and feminine prairie girl. It's not for everyone, but you will be presently surprised by the layout of the store. It's clean and they often have some sort of fancy Cabri or Volupsa candle burning. At $20+ bucks a pop, those suckers last a long time. They carry a ton of specialty brands, unique jewelry, books and sweet smelling perfumes and oils. These all come at a premium though. They are the Banana Republic of UO Inc. I've never had a bad customer service experience at this location or any of their other locations. I'm thinking they might have trained their staff a little better now. read more

I've shopped at the Anthropology in Plano TX for years. Then I moved to OKC, and rarely made a stop in to shop when I visited home. When I found out they were building an Anthropology here I got so excited! I waited a year and finally it was open. Then I had to wait longer until I could convince my husband to go with me to show him my old favorite store. One day we were driving past and my husband surprised me and pulled in there! I was so excited. We had just got done with painting a friends house so we looked a little disheveled and covered with paint stains ( you would have thought we would have fit in). I could not believe the piercing evil eye stare that was shot at us by the old hag at the front door. I don't know if the store changed or I've changed, but good god, these people working there need to eat a hamburger and try smiling. I felt like I was constantly being judged and watched, no I do not want to steal your hipster bull shit mustache covered coffee mug, in fact I wouldn't pay the $20 for it either. The clothes are still beautiful, the house wear still whimsical, and the store lay out always playfully artistic. Hire some people that make the shopping experience as lovely as the store is. I think they spent more time looking at the mirror through their fake buddy holly glasses than I did trying things on. My love of anthropology has been crushed. Anthro used to be my favorite store until recently. Although I still love the style and look, the prices have become too expensive for the average shopper. I picked up a Tshirt, just a plain cotton shirt, and it was $88. Who can justify that? If it were a local boutique that had handmade clothing or it was vintage or something I may understand, but this shirt is mass produced. This is just the best example of how expensive it has become. But I don't think the price matches the products. I've also found that the classen curve location has a hard time keeping medium/large in stock. I find a cute dress and they only have XS. This happens a lot. Most of the time the staff is very friendly, but I have gone in an hour before closing and gotten a bit of a cold shoulder...it isn't a restaurant. Anthro is just not what it used to be, but alas neither is urban outfitters. I guess they wanted us to age out of Urban and go to Anthro but there was a huge gap in price and honestly maturity level of the clothing. I used to want every item in the store and now it all seems to be geared towards 35+. Which there's nothing wrong with, but where does it leave us mid twenty shoppers who are now in limbo- price and style wise! read more

I have been shopping at Anthropologie on line for years and was delighted when a store opened up in Oklahoma City. The manager, Brandon, is so NICE and always calls you by your first name, makes you feel very special. When you first walk in your greeted with a hello. I have never been in the store where someone didn't offer to help me. The window displays make you want to come into the store and once your in the lay out and displays are BEAUTIFUL.
