he staff at this location are AWFUL! I buy a lot online and happen to be at West End for an appt. so I thought I would stop in the store for some things I had looked at online. I had a list of items I wanted to try on, I would have spent a lot of $, but I walked out without purchasing a thing because the people that work there are so rude! I went home and placed my order online. Maybe try hiring some stuff that are friendly and not so pretentious. Honestly, I was debating about giving this store and the entire chain 2 stars due to the huge variety of items. That being said, these Chinese-made items that barely parallel the quality and craftsmanship of ikea are fantastically over priced. Moreover, the majority of these items are geared to those that prefer to stage their homes in a combination of a circus mixed with the items your grandmother had in her basement because she could not throw them away (she grew up in the depression, of course) but was too embarrassed to display in her main living room. Like I have already noted, this maybe the place for you if your trying to spend the remainder of your life savings on "conversation items" around your house. And by "conversation items," I mean the conversation will be your family and friends inquiring about your sanity. read more

Two stars based on the service alone... For a high end store, I expect much better service than I received. I hardly got a greeting from the staff when I walked in. I shopped around the store for about 20 to 30 minutes and not once did an employee approach me to ask me if I was doing alright. They talked amongst themselves, but not with the customers. This happened both of the times I visited: once on a Tuesday evening, and again on a Friday afternoon. I generally LOVE Anthropology, as everything they carry is very much my style. This one was an exception... If I'm going to spend the big bucks on clothing, I don't want to be ignored by the staff. I don't think I'll be coming back to this location. read more

The Edina location gets a little cramped in the sale section, which is where I spend most of my time obvs. My strategy for not breaking the bank is that I tend to mentally bookmark all the full price things I want to look for later on the sale racks, but every so often I let myself have a treat. I have always avoided this store. Because I have always been poor. But recently I have had a few extra bucks burning a hole in my pocket and figured, what the hell? Plus my friend wanted to go and she promised me that I would love everything and not be able to afford anything. She was so right. Everything smells good, the sales people are all cute and trendy and fashionable, and everything is so goddamn beautiful and expensive it makes me wonder if these people put their pants on one leg at a time like the rest of us. This store is beautiful and it smells like heaven when you walk in. I'd say to bottle that and sell it, but they probably already do! Anthro isn't usually my style and is very expensive, but they do have amazing jeans. Usually I am a browser only and not a buyer, but I was waiting for a friend to meet me for dinner and the very helpful sales staff presented me with a 25% coupon...so I had to try on some AG jeans...I mean 25% off! Have you tried on AG jeans? If not, do it...or don't do it maybe. They are super expensive at $175 but they feel like comfy, soft sweat pants but make you look amazing. Seriously, they look great on everyone. I was going to be very upset with my friend for being late to dinner and allowing me time to try these jeans from heaven, price from hell and fall in love with them, but luckily (?) the size they had was a little too tight and were out of the next size up. My wallet is still $132 richer, but my butt will never look as good in any other pants. Two observations about shopping for expensive clothes: 1. Anthro, please, please, please sweep up and dispose of all the dust bunnies in your dressing rooms--the service was royal and the clothes are priced high enough that I don't want to feel gross standing in a pile of dirt or see it swirling around when I'm changing clothes. 2. Who is a size 23 waist?! Ladies, is there anything worse than wanting to try on something laying on a table, and you have to dig all the way to the bottom for a 28, 29, or 30?! It's so depressing. And they have 8 pairs of 24s but no 29s...because no one is a 24 and they sold all the 29s to normal people. Do clothing stores purposefully order all these tiny sizes to make us feel bad? Do they secretly only want itty bitty girls for customers? That isn't an Anthro-specific complaint; it happens everywhere. I will now end my rant. I cannot justify or afford one damn item in here for myself but I still like to browse. The decor alone and way they display the merchandise is just fabulous. I seriously would just like to curl up in there with a cup of hot tea and just cuddle with some of their delicious clothes and fabrics. I am sure I would get some strange looks so I do refrain. I do tend to "pet" the clothes as I pass by with lust in my eyes. I love this store. It is huge & has a separate room for sale items. I always find clothes I like - sometimes I just can't afford all of them. I do, however, splurge on candles here. When the Voluspa ones go on sale, it's like Christmas morning for me! The store is always clean & the staff is really friendly. The stuff here is super cute, I just wish I could afford it! Almost everything is pretty far out of my price range, and it's one of those stores where I feel like you need to buy everything from there in order for it to look good. You can't just buy one bowl or one shirt, you need the whole outfit. I really like their home decor items. The have tons of great kitchen dishes, glasses and aprons. I also really like their candles. So I have always liked Anthropologie...I meander, admire, & then leave as I never know what to buy but I like many things. That time period is over. Stopped into this location just before vacation and picked up a great peasant top and dress for my destination. The staff was very helpful and pleasant during quite the winter storm (18 inches of snow) which turned out to be a great day to shop. I feel as if I have caught my Anthropologie wind! read more

The staff were super helpful in finding sizes and outfits to go with pants for me AND I was invited to a party they had in the store the next day. I'm also on thier email list so I think that helps, but I have come back more often than not (more so to get invited to more parties, but the clothes and service are awesome too). Love this location... Squeaky clean, shiny and new! The size of this store is huge, especially for being a boutique style shop. Great layout, unique product line of apparel, accessories, decor and home furnishings. Nice displays and spot lighting. The spaciousness of the store made everything flow really well! Me likey! This shop caters to the young ladies of the cities. Not as trendy or hipster as one might think... The style of this store is totally rustic chic all the way, love it! I love this place, especially the accessories and home stuff. Most of the clothes are not really my style, even though I do own a few bohemian pieces. This locations is not cramped like most of the other Antro stores I've been too, there is a bit more space between you and everything you want, and I think at least in my case, that leads to less spending (I hope their marketing is not reading this) as everything is not in your face. I do appreciate the nice displays and decor. Definitely puts you in the mood for some swanky stuff. The associates are nice and friendly, and sometimes a bit overwhelming. I do like my space and the freedom to browse. Maybe I look to suspicious? I hate when they point out the obvious, i.e. I can read the sales signs, but I understand it is their job. I love shopping at Anthropologie! They have some of the best fashion and fun little trinkets for anyone. The fashion can be plain, very bold or can help you go back to an old trend but make it hip. Anthropologie is very pricey which is why I didn't give it all 5 stars, but when they have sales there are a lot of good finds :) I could spend hours in the store trying everything on and I think the location in the West End is the best :) read more

Stopped at the West End Anthopologie store yesterday to return a defective blouse. I searched high and low for the receipt and couldn't find it. Figured that they might give me a store credit, at best. I was pleasantly surprised when the salesperson searched for my transaction (I used my Anthro rewards card) and gave me a full refund on my credit card. Great customer service and return policy. I would not recommend ordered any type of "furniture" rugs included from Anthropologie. I ordered a sale rug, 8x10 size that had to be delivered via one their third party "white glove" delivery companies (Metropolitan or Twin Cities delivery company since I am in Minnesota). The standard delivery fee is $150. So, ok since I was getting a deal on the rug, I could be patient and wait 4 weeks. Well 4 weeks came and no rug. I called Metropolitan and they said the rug was still in California (possibly written off as a lost product, is what service rep made it sound like) and said she would call back with more info....she never did. So I called Anthropologie directly that next week, they advised me that the delivery company had switched to Twin Cities (thanks for notifying the customer!) Then I proceeded to ask if this delivery mishap was a common occurrence and what could be done if anything about the inconvenience of this whole matter. All I was offered was $25 off my order of over $400. Ok, I said, and proceeded to call Twin Cities delivery company to find out where my rug was. The woman who answered put me on hold to 'finish up a precious order" while she forgot to press hold and carried on a conversation with her boyfriend about lunch. After she came back to the line, she couldn't find my order and said that it must have just arrived that day and that she would get back to me with details about delivery. Delivery is scheduled for this Sat. We shall see if this rug was worth waiting for... read more

I am new to this state and have only been to this store twice. It is big, clean, and they offer a great selection. Easy to access in the shopping area and good parking. Everything is organized and easy to find, though I do go on off hours when it's a lot quieter and easier to shop. Decent customer service with the salesgirls only nagging you once about whether you need anything. However, just tonight I returned a sweater that I had bought in the store the first time I was in there, unwashed and unworn. The salesgirl processed the return without a problem and I got my refund--awesome. Happy about that since the sweater was not cheap (like everything else in the store). But, when I was about to walk away, I saw the salesgirl SMELL the sweater. Like, put it up to your face and deeply inhale. I was going to say something but I just ended up leaving without another word. What did she think I did to it?? SO creepy. Never going back in just based on this. read more
