Great for Icon Movies but the rest of the retail stores stink. Corporate cookie cutter chain restaurants. Nothing to drive any distance for

3.5/5 Nothing to…read morecomplain about here, it's a mall! This one is trying to stay relevant and isn't completely empty like some others in the metro. Some shops are empty and others are being remodeled and opening again. I visited on a Friday (Valentine's Day) and it was pretty steady but not packed, I could find a place to sit down and relax by myself if I wanted to (and I did!) Shop selection is meh, I went into a few but didn't find anything to purchase which is just fine by me - I needed a place to hang out that was warm and this was it! Bubble tea, Caribou and smoothies to choose from - I didn't see a food court but I wasn't particularly looking.

There's only a handful of store I really shop at here but I'm sure overall there's something for everyone. I feel like Ridgedale has been one of the consistent malls (as far as growing up in MN and seeing a lot of malls struggle to keep stores) that never felt like it was closing. I do wish they would decorate more especially for the holidays. They have the Santa pop up in the middle of the mall which is cute but that's its own experience. Also a somewhat better food court would be cool, but there are a ton of options for food outside of the mall/in the area. They do host cool events from time to time like the traveling Hello Kitty Cafe, which is cool.

I'll admit it. The Mall of America as they call it hits pretty hard. It's over 30 years old &…read moremanaged by a Canadian company but it's got all the American staples. Parking is a bit tricky to navigate as clear markings aren't present so be familiar with which attractions you want to see & park near those. Once inside, it's massive but the kiosks are quite helpful. We grabbed a movie with comfortable recliner seating & also checked out the Fly Over America which may sound corny, but it's cool. A bit pricy, but worth the splurge if you're struggling for a signature experience. Food is in abundance & offerings have a slight edge over standard mall menus as options are plenty. Park is the pinnacle & doesn't disappoint. The sheer scale of an amusement park inside a mall is cool. If you're not into rides, grab a phone charger at the kiosk & a table overlooking the mania & listen to the screams. Rides are open late & likely a winter solace from the snow. If you're open to it, it's worth the hype. Get your steps in today

I had such an amazing time at Mall of America. It was honestly an experience, not just a mall!…read moreThere is so much to do that you can easily spend an entire day (or more) there and still not see everything. One of the highlights for me was FlyOver America. It was such an incredible experience it really makes you feel like you're flying, and the visuals are so realistic. Definitely a must-do if you visit! I also loved all the food options. There are so many places to choose from, and everything I had was delicious. It's nice being able to take a break from walking around and enjoy a good meal without even leaving the mall.Another favorite was the axe throwing it was SO fun and something different from the usual mall activities. It added a really exciting, adventurous vibe to the day and made the whole experience even more memorable. The atmosphere throughout the mall is lively, clean, and full of energy. There's something for everyone shopping, entertainment, food, and unique attractions all in one place. It's perfect for a fun day out with friends or family.I would 100% recommend visiting, and I can't wait to go back and try even more things next time!

I recommend this mall for parents with young kids who don't want to spend much or anything at all…read more They have a lovely closed off play area on the lower level that good for toddlers through kindergarten. Outside of that is the largest collection of quarter slot rides that I know of. They accept card payment or lets your kids pretend and don't pay to turn them on at all. Then there's a train ride and rideable animals for a fee. In Scheels they have a beautiful aquarium, a fun shooting range for a small fee and a ferris wheel that's only $1 per rider. Then upstairs they have a nice food court with clean restrooms and a variety of food options. I wish all malls were like this.

I wasn't even planning on going to the mall, but it was worth the trip. What really surprised me was Scheels. The size of it is impressive, but the fact they had a real aquarium and a Ferris wheel?! That's a whole other level! It's cool to see a store go above and beyond with entertainment and attractions. I also loved how the staff were very helpful pointing me in the right direction. I didn't shop at any of the other stores so I can't comment on those, but overall it was nice. It was a beautiful day and I just enjoyed walking around and taking it all in. If you need to get out of the house, stretch your legs and be surprised by a unique shopping experience, Eden Prairie Center is a must visit. Scheels alone is worth the trip! Win for a fun unexpected outing.

The Twin Cities premium outlets is a great option if you're looking for affordable clothes/gifts…read more We typically come here around the holidays to do Christmas shopping. However; I also love coming randomly throughout the year to get updated clothing items. I typically like to check out under Armour and Nike, the Columbia store also has a separate outlet location as well. Recently, I feel like prices haven't been nearly as good as they used to, but in this economy, who can blame them. I would love to see a little bit more variation in the food court, it's mostly Asian cuisines and Cinnabon. All delicious but would love to see some more options. There's a ton of parking, but if you come on a busy weekend, you may not notice and still have to park far away. Bummed to see some recent retailers, leaving, they've been replaced with stores that my opinion were is great. Overall, a decent shopping trip, it's also in a great location. There's plenty of other stores/eating nearby. I recommend checking out the Twin Cities premium outlets if you haven't been there before.
