Absolutely love love love this store in Scottsdale!! It is so well stocked and the staff was super friendly. Exactly what usually saw in Scottsdale. The wonderful smells draw you in and they have a great area for sale items and good quality in the middle of the store . They were busy that day and had at least 4 people walk up to ask me if needed help finding items or how my day was. I don't usually review retail stores, but the customer service at this Anthro store at Scottsdale Fashion Square was outstanding! I picked up a couple of light weight white tops and was carrying while browsing. A pleasant salesperson approached & asked if she could start a dressing room for me. Told her my name and that I was looking for a top to go with a pair of unique pants I had purchased here last month ( pink high waisted wide leg veggie print ) She remembered the pants although I did not see on sales floor. When I got up my dressing room - my white shirts were waiting along with several other styles and the veggie pants ( in my size! ) to try the shirts on with! Outstanding service! Who doesn't love a good Anthro fix?! This store is one of my favorites. I have popped in twice in the last month, once for me, and once for gifts! They literally have something for any lady on your list - from cute accessories, jewelry, candles, and home decor to adorable hats, clothing, shoes, and more! You really can't go wrong with anything here. The quality of their goods is great and the team working has always been super helpful when I come in. Their sale rack is always exploding with gems too, which is a major win! Anthropologie is located at the north east corner of N 71st and Main in the Kierland Commons shopping area near Scottsdale Rd and Greenway Parkway. This store like many others I've noticed have really stopped concentrating on providing proper seating for significant others that don't want to be inside this store in the first place. I've written so many reviews for Anthropologie stores because I've spent a quantifiable amount of time in each whether it's just sucking up the wifi or relaxing while my wife goes about looking for stuff that is sadly overpriced. Still, at least many of the locations I've been to have had proper seating for people like me (the payers who are waiting around) but this place not so much. Unlike many of the other Anthropologie stores I've been to this one is only on one floor but then again much of Arizona is not about multiple floors and higher density so it's all good. All I'm asking for is have a couch, just one for people like me. Like I said I've been to so many stores and there's always a somewhat comfortable place to sit and wait but sadly not at this store. The closest thing they have here are some logs, that is correct I said logs to sit on that are more decorative than functional and let's be honest, this isn't the most comfortable seat you can come up with I'm sure. Even the Market street store in San Francisco had a concrete level to sit on albeit more at proper seating level as opposed to being almost on the ground at this Scottsdale store. Being a single floor store, it's still sized well enough that a couch won't kill your footprint by any means. I really suggest getting one. I've given the Anthro in Chelsea market two stars because they had really no available seating. Scottsdale has seating but logs? Come on! read more

Almost everyone in this store is rude and has an attitude. But especially Lana. The way she talks to her coworkers and the customers had my jaw dropped to the floor. Nobody should be talking to anybody that way. Everyone seems to be stressed out all the time. Maybe they all hate their jobs because of how terrible the managers are to them. Everyone should go shop at the Anthropologie at Fashion Square, I'm sure they're much nicer there. Don't go here unless you want to leave feeling worthless and bad about yourself. read more

Such a gem of a store, I am always full of wonder when I walk in! Well, actually when I look at the window displays I am in awe. Love the creativity. Did you know that Anthropologie donates some of their seasonal display items to the Children's Museum!? I love that! Such a great way to share the creativity with the local community. I saw some great pieces on display at the museum and was told they came from Anthropologie. So cool! I love browsing and finding treasures. The employees are all very stylish but none said hello... none offered help with sizing or point to a dressing room. Stood next to one sales girl straightening candles & asked a question but she must not have heard & didn't answer. Started talking to another sales girl. Quite a few employees walked past as I was holding items up in a mirror. None said hello, smiled or offered a fitting room. Was going to buy a candle but the woman at the checkout wasn't paying attention, there were 2 girls next in line talking & didn't appear ready to cash out. Wampanoag behind the register didn't ask if they were ready, just stood there waiting for them to decide what they were doing. I put the candle down & left. I brought in a gift to return to the Kierland store. The sales girl accidentally credited the person's credit card who gave me the gift not realizing it was a gift. She was super nice and apologetic and spent over 30 minutes on the phone trying to get ahold of customer service to get the issue resolved. It was not resolved. The store mgr Whitney told me I could not have store credit or the item back or cash since the store had made an error. I was simply out 95$ (or $95 gift) and nothing could be done. Whitney did offer to look into it over the next 7 days but said that most likely nothing could be done to correct this error. Not great customer service. read more

Anthropologie is great for us unique clothing and gift items esp. when items are on sale! I have bought some things online in the past which had to be returned which I found to be an easy process by them sending return label and my taking to specified carrier. This go-round ordered 3 sun dresses , 1 described as Color "blue iris" however when it arrived it was more sage green or grayish... ?. So when I called the .com no. CSR offered to send a duplicate and told me that I needed to return the original one within 7 days or I would be charged for the duplicate. Today, I returned all 4 dresses at No Scottsdale store , including the dup(which just like the original was more sage green and grayish than it was "blue iris?") . When the cashier tried to return the dup she could not ring it as a credit because according to the mgr who She asked to come over, I was never charged for duplicate even though it's been over 7 days? . Both the cashier and the manager,were very cordial and very helpful esp. when I asked the manager to write out on the receipt that I had bought back 2 of same dress. The products in the store are really cute but VERY overpriced probably about 50% more than most stores for product value. Some of the sundresses are over $200 which is super pricey . Had better luck at Nordstrom rack. Certainly the patterns are not as unique but just as pretty! read more

Went into this store yesterday and as we entered a salesperson said "all redlined clearance is 50 percent off". It peaked my curiosity and I found a couple of kites which I took to the front desk to check out. As the person ringing started to ring me up I mentioned the percentage off. She said that ended yesterday. I asked to speak to a manager who said she would not honor it. For $20 she let a customer leave the store angry and writing a bad review which I rarely do. I won't go back and neither will the women I was shopping with. Shame on you Anthropologie. read more

Do NOT buy expensive furniture from this company. I ordered a velvet Chesterfield couch that I loved. A year later I still have a damaged couch with ZERO customer service. They tried to replace three times and each was more damaged then the rest.. the delivery men wouldn't take out of truck because they knew how bad it was. Worst then that they have NO customer service. They don't answer their furniture support line for over 30 minutes. They will do nothing to compensate me for this horrible quality. They do not answer emails. So here I sit with a damaged velvet couch, and they are no where to b found. I am shocked and appalled. I thought they were a quality company. Don't spend your money for furniture in this store unless it is a floor model and you can take it with you. No stars! read more

I am giving anthroplogie a 1 star review because one of the associates racially profiled my friend today. We headed to anthropologie to pick up some bala ankle weights, and of course, when in anthroplogie.... you have to browse the entire store. Well my friend was carrying the ankle weights as we browsed, when a store associate came up to us very rudely and said "let me take those and hold them at the front of the store". My friend is black and we are both in our early 20s. This associate did not introduce herself, ask if she could help us find anything, she just simply took the merchandise from my friend and walked away. It was so clearly racial profiling my friend got tears in her eyes and I had no idea what to do, my jaw was on the floow. I think anthropologie needs to educate their employees on racial bias' and how to interact with different kinds of people because this interaction was obsurd. read more

I love Anthropologie. So much, that the staff at my hometown Anthro in MN (West End) know me by name and are super friendly and helpful whenever I come in (plus, I honestly buy a lot in my trips). Anyways, we moved to North Scottsdale and I went to this Anthro thinking "yay, it's my new home". Nope...though the girl at the door was friendly, it stopped there. I felt like they didn't really care to make conversation or convey any level of friendliness. Then at the checkout counter, the worst part of my experience, a candle I was buying had an extra sticker on it for some other product that was cheaper. I had no clue, I just liked the candle. She peels it off and just kept saying "hm. That's just really interesting. And convenient the sticker was for an item less expensive" ....I'm sorry, was I being accused of something?! I liked the candle so I bought it at its true price along with 2 dresses and a card. Wasn't trying to get away with something...yet I felt accused. Whatever. I live like 5 minutes from this Anthro yet I'm for sure just going to drive to the Fashion Square location moving forward. Maybe their staff is less rude. :( read more

I went shopping with my adult daughter BEFORE COVID shutdown in March. Anthropologie was supposed to send via UPS to my daughter in Northern California! You delayed and delayed and delayed the shipment and when you finally decided to ship UPS "claims" it was denied (LIE) by my daughter! She never had any notice a UPS shipment was at her apartment complex and never denied it. Her shipment was SUPPOSED to be shipped last week NEXT DAY so my daughter could finally receive what was purchased today June 8, 2020. But once again Anthropologie didn't send it when the manager said she was. I just stopped in at Anthropologie (after they would not answer their phone!) and was told it was "picked up today and should be delivered tomorrow!) Anthropologie committed THEFT by charging my credit card and then NEVER SHIPPING my daughters items. I worked in the Fashion industry for over 20 years and if this manager and her people worked for me, they would be FIRED! I will NEVER set foot in this store (I live right across the street in Plaza Lofts) and won't ever do any shopping ever again in any ANTHROPOLOGIE store! Located in Kierlan shopping center this is one of the better Anthropologie stores I have been to. Everything is located on one floor and they always have a large inventory of sale items. Lots of dressing rooms and the staff is very attentive. If you don't know Anthropologie its a chain store that is similar to Urban Outfitters but more upscale. read more

I have ordered from Anthropologie's website numerous times but NO MORE! The worst customer service I've ever experienced. Rude & ignorant to say the least! I returned the last order I placed in their shipping bag with their return label. After numerous phone calls, still no credit on my account. I contacted my bank so they could dispute it. This is a violation of the consumer protection act, a federal law. It took over 2 months to finally receive my credit but only after I objected by email to Anthropologie was I returned my shipping fee. A year prior I was sent what was supposed to be a white blouse. It was FILTHY, black to charcoal stains all over it. It looked like it had been dragged through the dirty warehouse floor. I called them & complained & I was given a refund. They sent me an email giving me a "special 20% discount" on any item as a courtesy. When I tried to use that "special" discount, I was refused. They denied saying it had never happened & I received it on my previous order! I even emailed them giving them proof of that email & again, refused it. No apology, nothing. Has anyone noticed, Anthropologie doesn't even bother to defend themselves on Yelp? They don't care about the customer. Overpriced & poorly made crap! I'm sure many of you have seen the beautiful hand created artsy things they carry on their site. Well guess what, they pay those artists a paltry 3% on those high priced items. Okay so Anthropologie is the store that every girl wishes her style reflected: wimsy, feminine and with a touch of class. Walking into the store you have the overwhelming feeling of high class vintage. But when you go check out the prices you realize that they aware definitely not vintage prices. I mean, yes, I have spent a lot of money at the store paying full price on their gorgeous items. The clothing is always so versatile and so fun for any age! And yes, I always get a ton of compliments with whatever I wear that is anthro, but CHECK THE SALE RACK! I repeat CHECK THE SALE RACK! Whenever I walk into the store, I rush straight to the back corner of my store and instantly spot five or six items I was wishing for 2 months ago. (also, if you are in different areas of the country, they have much different sale items which is always a treat!) It becomes a game between my mom and I betting if the dress or top will ever go on sale, a most of the time it does! I love the home section with cute nobs, plates and accessories and gorgeous bedding- warning their bedding quality is not worth the price. I can always find a plethora of items that would fit perfectly in my dream apartment that I WILL someday have. (Right now I will have to keep dreaming) Get the loyalty anthro card. Although I question myself why I have it, (it is free of charge) only tracking your receipts. But it all makes sense when your birthday rolls around- REJOICE! What a horrible experience. My girl friend Janice has been raving about this place forever! While she shops at the Fashion Sq store, I found myself in Kierland and thought I just might take a peek around. The store was sloppy, and the staff seemed much more interested in moving clothes around rather than helping me find a size in a dress. Being a size 12, I thought it would be easy. I guess that means searching for myself and looking through all the size 8s that were everywhere. One very nice woman was helping me in the dressing area but was overshadowed by a very tall woman with an accent practically yelling at her. The dressing room gal remained professional and actually apologized for what I had just witnessed. Well 5 over-priced, ill-fitting dresses later ( had to try on some 10s since that is what they had to offer!), I gathered my belongings and left the dressing area. It was then that I practically tripped on the ladder on the floor. Why there was a ladder on the floor during open hours is beyond me! I had just about enough. The tall gal was now at the cash registers, the line was long, and again she was yelling! Out I went. Walked down to Banana where I received service with a smile, 2 cute dresses and NO attitude! I must say, this particular Anthropologie has been my lucky store, as I've been able to find on numerous occasion fabulous deals on clothes. Just recently, I bought a cute summer dress and skirt for about half-off their original price. Their houseware and gift items are adorable too and definitely a great way to go for a fantastically unique gift for a girlfriend, sister, mother, etc. My only complaint, and the only reason I give the store four stars, is the clothes are a little pricey. They are definitely cute and unique, but most of them are made from cotton, which begs the questions... when did cotton t-shirts start costing $55? read more

I have been an Anthro shopper for years. This location is by far the worst retail location out of the four I frequent. I live in the MidWest and am used to at least some semblance of graciousness by sales people. Today I walked through the entire store, arms loaded with clothes and at least 3 sales people walked right by me - no hello, may I help, you're too old to shop here, we don't want your money, nothing. Finally I walked back to the dressing room where I was shown a dressing room by a fairly helpful person. Heard her ask quite a few people if they needed sizes, etc. I was left alone - fine, I don't need an opinion, I know what I like, but at least inquire to see if I need a different size. Seriously, I get it that you're in an exclusive area but you really need to up your game. Bye bye Kierland Anthro. I still love Anthropologie and will go to other stores. I bought a blouse 79 $ on sale and was asked if I wanted the receipt e mailed. I said yes and declined the paper receipt which I now know I will never do again. Realizing that I never got the email receipt I called from the airport the next day because I live out of town. They said wait 2 days. Now it's 5 days still no receipt. I called 3 other times and e mailed the non responsive customer question line on their website. I sent a photo of the price tag. So I'm too stupid to know I'm being ignored , so I called today for the last time . I was told they couldn't send me a receipt but that it was on their computer on my account. Anthropologie is a more feminine boutique style version of Urban Outfitters. They are owned by the same company. This Anthropolgie is open and very easy to navigate. I usually just shop the sales here, but I make a point of going in every time I'm in Kierland because it's really fun to look at all the random chic things they have. They have beautiful designer clothes, housewares, cooking supplies, books, trinkets, stationary, furniture and much more.Also a great place to find something cute and unusual for decorating or cooking with. read more

My girlfriend and I were looking around for Christmas gifts for my mom and aunt, we stopped into anthropology to see if they had a certain necklace we didn't have any luck so we decided to look around a bit. We looked at a book and set it back on the shelf and the display seemed to have fallen over knocking something off the shelf. The woman at the counter came to help us put everything back to the way it was telling us that she had it taken care of we continued our search for a Christmas gifts. The whole time after we were being followed throughout the store causing my girlfriend and I to feel very harassed. We ended up finding what we were looking for and proceeded to check out. We were then followed out of the store by an older man giving us a smirk when I turned around made eye contact with him. Overall absolutely horrible experience making us feel unwelcome.
