I thought hemorrhoids were for older people. Lol. I had a time with them in my 40s in around…read more 2005. Lisa helped me heal the blood vessels. That's what hemorrhoids are. I started discovering foods that made my hemorrhoids hurt so bad. Nuts was one food I stopped eating. Mine had gotten chronic and painful hurting every day. At that time for about a year it didn't matter what I ate. I had started doing colonoscopies because I lost my dad to colon cancer when he was only 58 and I was in my 20s. Many of my brothers and sisters started getting our colonoscopy early. So I had a wonderful Gasterologist doctor. I made an appointment so he could cut out the hemorrhoids. Isn't that what surgery does cut out the problem? Funny thing though he did not say that was a solution at this time. He gave me the best numbing cream that they use during surgery. Between that and a prescription suppository it started helping some. But I was surprised how I could not get this under control. I'm a solution finder and an information addict. I began to share it to Lisa Young who was my good friend and now becoming a NTP. She prescribed to me 2 products: chlorophyll and collinsonia root. She started helping me discover digestive issues and helping me digest food better. But those 2 products began the healing of the vessels of my chronic inflamed hemorrhoids. It felt like a miracle really finding solution to the chronic pain AND NOW ITS GONE. Lots of prayers prayed to God and wisdom given BY God to Lisa in her gift of healing! I have no problem eating nuts to this day 2022. If something happens today and I found slight inflammation beginning to swell those veins maybe caused by constipation, again I could take those pills and instantly within a day or two everything would be back to normal. Today I am glad to say it is very rare I ever take those products. The hemorrhoids are gone and healed. Thank you Lisa for following your dream studying your craft and your heart to serve people bringing healing in all the right places. Thank you for teaching me how my body can heal itself with the right foods and herbs you showed me. May God bless the work of your hands!

It took me awhile to make an appointment with her, but after seeking her help - I wish I would've visited her sooner. To provide some context, after a bad 10+ft fall I had a few years back and several years of "recovery" - including, a horrible reaction to a tailbone injection that made me feel like I was going to go into a coma - I was left with pain and I was suffering with body aches, muscle cramps, extreme tension, nerve zings, numbness, insomnia, tinnitus, and on top of it all - PTSD. I did blood tests, imaging tests, paid for tests through other sources, and looked to the help of doctors and other specialists (endocrinologists, acupuncturists, rheumatologist, cardiologist, etc) desperate to get some answers. Unfortunately, my blood work and imaging never showed any indication of a disorder or disease. The only other options doctors gave me were to take prescription medications such as Prozac, Xanax, Clonopin, muscles relaxers, etc. I knew I wasn't depressed and I knew those prescription medications would not help me as I already experienced the horrible effects of Xanax post injury. So, I finally said - I'm going to visit Lisa Young. Sure enough, the remedy she provided made just about all of my ailments go away within three days! I still suffer with tinnitus, but three days of her treatment made me feel a ton better than any other treatment recommended for the years prior to my visit with her. One of the suggestions was to take magnesium glycinate, and before visiting Lisa - I never knew how important and vital this mineral is to one's overall well-being and health. All of those years of all that I went through completely depleted my body of it's magnesium reserves. I am so thankful to Lisa and my massage therapist. If it wasn't for these two people in my journey, I don't know where I would be today. Their passion for what they do is truly a blessing to all of their clients. Thank you Lisa Young for the wonderful gift you have and share with your clients. You are amazing and a blessing to know.

As written for an article I wrote for the Bakersfield Voice in 27 November 2008:…read more --- "I went into my new dietitian with fear and doubt in my heart. I came out with hope. She was totally young and friendly, and was definitely healthy (at least by all outward appearances). Although she has never had an eating disorder, she took me seriously, and told me she has worked with eating disordered patients for 8 years. After getting her BS in dietetics, she attempted to start her internship, but they had none available. So she decided to get involved in a research project where she surveyed youths about eating disorder behaviours. From that, she started a healthy body image and eating disorder seminar that she would give in health classes. To me, this is so awesome because this is exactly what I want to do some day- I want to work with adolescents with eating disorders as a dietitian, as I began to exhibit eating disordered behaviours when I was ~ 8 years old myself. Of course, her past experience touched my heart. Then she said that doing all the research really interested her in helping those with eating disorders, but she didn't know where to go in Bakersfield to do so. Well, she found a therapist (Katherine Smith- the woman I was supposed to be seeing now, but she had to refer me to another therapist as she is resigning from her practise) and they began working together 8 years ago. She was completely open and honest and we even went over a small meal plan (not too overwhelming) to start me back on the road to recovery. She honestly listened to everything I had to talk about. Hilariously enough, she doesn't like my previous dietitian either, and even cracked a joke about her. Heheheh. So that totally put me at ease that we were on the same page. And get this (and this REALLY had me reeling): SHE was the one who brought up the tube, after she had heard that I had an NG at Remuda Ranch. She said she really recommended me for the PEG this time as it would be more long-term and wouldn't be so obvious (like the NG, for example). I was shocked that she would bring it up without me asking that I started tearing up. So she wanted me to work on the meal plan, call the surgeon tomorrow ("he's a young, hip Indian doctor- I think you'll like him"), and then call her about when the appointment is. I'm just...shocked and a little scared. But happy that I've found someone who just listens, who isn't talking about their past, who wants to move forward, and who is on the same page. Thanks, Diane Campbell, for restoring my faith." --- Edit, as of 3 March 2009: Just wanted to update this article, as it was written nearly 5 months ago. Diane is still my dietitian, and I credit her greatly for my continuing motivation (though, of course, fighting the behaviours has not been all sunshine and rainbows, you know?). What's more is that, unlike any other professionals I've seen, she is constantly in contact with me- by phone calls, e-mail, and even text message (on my cell phone). However, I'd like to point out that she does NOT cross professional boundaries, and makes sure not to just become an "expensive friend with some good advice." I also really appreciate that she doesn't just throw some random "healthy meal plan" at me, and expect me to just do it. Right now, for example, even though the amount I am eating is, by any "normal" standards, much too low, she realises that any more would not be "safe" for me, and just wants me to slowly challenge myself to build up to something healthier. Diane Campbell has given me a chance that others did not.
