    Cold cut appetizer! Delilah.

We selected this restaurant after reading the earlier reviews and we were delighted! The host asked if we spoke English, French or Italian and then assigned us a waiter who could communicate with us in English. So even though a previous reviewer commented that the waitstaff were put off a bit since the customer could not speak Italian, our experience was that they made the effort accommodate everyone. (Maybe the owner read the earlier review and made a positive change!) The food was outstanding! My husband ordered the ravioli with herbs and walnuts in a cream sauce. Although his entree did not have a dramatic, colorful appearance.....the taste was exquisite! My dish stood out with the green pasta and the red lobster. I can't say one dish was better than the other....they were so different. But mine had very fresh, sweet lobster meat....not a lot of it, but truly just the right amount! Perfect! I ordered the house red wine.....1/2 litre.... too much for one person. Should have ordered the 1/4 litre....!

Waitress spoke English and helped us with ordering and was very kind. It is a slow paced meal but the experience was fantastic. 5 stars!

As we walked by, we noticed some of their employees inside so we asked if we could make a reservation for dinner for 6pm or 6;30pm. They recommended 6pm and took my name. We arrived promptly at 6pm and were the 2nd table seated. I'm so glad we came early. Over the next few nights we noticed so many people waiting outside all night long. I will tell you that my branzino was amazing. Fresh and cooked perfectly. I really enjoyed my healthy meal and I don't mind deboning a whole fish myself. My daughter had the linguine with clams which was also very delicious. My son had the pesto lasagna which was so-so. We were expecting red sauce bolognese so it could just be that we just had different expectations. He also ordered the steak and enjoyed it. My husband had the fruitti de mare and thought it was just okay. Something to know is that because they are so busy with so many people waiting, they like you to order everything together. We noticed a server who got frustrated with another table who tried to order apps, and then tried to order the main meals after they finished them, then dessert. These employees are hustling and trying to turn tables, as you see the queue outside waiting. It's a tiny cozy restaurant with a lot of demand. I would recommend this place for certain dishes, especially the fresh fish.

I believe he thought we interrupted his conversation with his friends however we waited a good 5 minutes before asking the question thinking maybe he didn't see us standing there. Anyway, it went down hill from there as we took a picture of the entryway to remember the name as we thought we might review this incident later. The waiter then started yelling at us that it was illegal to take pictures... Wow... super good service and a boxing match threat... Ok so we went next door and ordered... The wait staff at the restaurant we settled on said "dont worry about that waiter next door he gets in arguments all the time with people." And so he did... as he approached us again with the woman manager saying stuff about illegal photography... once again way to aggressive and way to unprofessional.. Actually 1 STAR is to high.... I would recommend you avoid this one...

View was gorgeous, servers were helpful, food was amazing! Grilled octopus had crunchy suckers, perfectly seared on a local green veggie like spinach but tastier along with mashed potatoes. Wow, the pesto pasta was the best we have had, just so light and refreshing. Grilled anberjack great portion and the best prepared grilled artichoke I have had they put something crunchy on it. Dessert was local spooner cake and we tried the local but priciest dessert wine, which was a little sweet to us. Highly recommended and great value given the location by the water!

I was concerned that this place would be a horrible tourist trap but the waiters were friendly, the food was delicious and the place was packed due to its location. I had the seafood pot and it was more seafood than I expected. The clams were smaller but there were lots of them. There were a lot of mussels and also a meaty octupus tentacle. They were all prepared in a great tomato based sauce and came with a toast loaf of bread. It was excellent!!! My wife had the seabass and also enjoyed the meal. The waiters were friendly and not pushy. We really enjoyed the views. Definitely, this was a good dinner location in Monterosso! Enjoy!

The restaurant felt cozy on the rainy May night, but I can see in Summer it would also be a perfect spot for a long dinner with the windows open and the fresh sea breeze. They have an extensive wine list with a lot of great options available from the surrounding Cinque Terre wineries, we chose a Vermentino (to sip on once we'd finished our delicious Negroni's to start). Before the meal arrived we were served complimentary snacks, the fried fish ball was INCREDIBLE. To start we shared the local anchovies that came six ways - 3 cold followed by 3 warm - the stuffed anchovies and lemon marinated ones were the tables favorite, we also shared the scallops which were cooked to perfection. For mains, I went with the local catch of the day which was a delicious white fish, my brother had the tuna and I was extremely jealous after trying, it was full of flavor and melted in your mouth. For dessert, I highly recommend the lemon dessert with meringue, our whole table fell in love with this. The service throughout the evening was excellent and attentive and we all enjoyed our night here. I highly recommend a visit to Miky if you're in Cinque Terre
