Antigua breakfast plate

Looking for a hearty breakfast for champions? Try their Antigua Breakfast plate -- you get the same breakfast plate with steak added to it. You can choose how to have your eggs cooked. I would come back!

So glad I went to check it out, I was off on a random Friday and met up a gf that was coming from Pasadena. They have a nice varied menu and of course I ended up with traditional guate meal. As soon as I saw the bread pudding in their glass case I knew I was having that as my dessert. Service was great from ordering to the young man wiping down the table. We decided to eat out on their patio. Food was good. Eggs were cooked as ordered, platanos were ok needed to be more ripe for my taste and the French bread "pan Frances" that is made in house, was awesome. Also had a cafe de olla, it was ok. I was disappointed with the bread pudding though, it looked better than it tasted. It wasn't moist enough it, no raisins and flavor just wasn't there. Side note, parking is tight and I got lucky with a bigger spot right in front of the restaurant. The one negative is that they close early.

I work in the area and have been here many times before for a quick coffee :) very tasty! A few days ago I finally tried their lunch and wow, their veggie sandwich is amazing! So tasty and authentic Latin flavors. Ernie was super sweet and took care of us with the most care and attention. He even gifted us some sweet bread to take home which was warmed up . So grateful super tasty thank you Antigua :)

Chilaquiles with mixed red and green sauce

I was craving chilaquiles and Antigua Bread popped up on Yelp's search result as having one of the best chilaquiles in East LA. I ordered a chilaquiles to go with soft scrambled eggs and a mix of their red and green sauce. The order came with rice and beans. It took me about 15 minutes to start eating my food. I was disappointed that the chilaquiles was already soggy. The flavor was good and the rice and beans were delicious, but I didn't think the chilaquiles would get so soggy so quickly. It was also pretty pricey. The total came out to $16 something. Their website has outdated menu pricing, so expect to pay $2-$3 more than what is on the website. I read they have good sweet bread, so I'll probably come back to try them next time. Customer service was good. Staff were friendly and welcoming.

This place was a toss up: first they spelled my name wrong. That sent off a weird vibe. I even spelled it out for them. The food was just barely ok: i didn't know their Huevos Rancheros dish turned out a vegan dish. The last restaurant from 'Charlie's Trio,' El Sereno, Los Angeles, CA., where i ordered this dish wasn't vegan. I wished they stated that on the menu, but it wasn't stated. The drink i ordered didn't taste anything hazelnut: so i think i'll just skip this place. And the parking lot appeared super small: all spaces were extremely tight. Sent three stars for friendly server who brought my order out. You lost me spelling my name wrong. PS: i found out they own a SGV branch somewhere near me. perhaps i'll try this closer up location from the SGV location i found yesterday.

Recently moved into the area. Told my love that I have been craving chilaquiles. He offered this option and agreed to try it out. Food did not disappoint. Service was quick and easy. Definitely we're not stingy with the food. All in all, we will be showing our face here again.

A good friend of mine recommend this restaurant called Antigua Bread it's a small and friendly cafe on Huntington Drive in El Sereno. This is my first time andI was looking the at menu they have a good selection including pastrys in limited what they have. I decided to order a breakfast burrito with sausage and blueberry muffin and coffee. I got my order very quick I notice the burrito was little big and took a bite lots of flavors mix like potato, bell pepper, onion and sauage including the egg mix in with great flavors in the burrito I enjoy it. The Blueberry muffin was really good and coffee brew daily and service was good and friendly.

The blueberry cornbread was served with the best honey butter and blueberry jam. 2. The goat curry was not gamey. The meat was tender and the curry was mild in flavor. 3. The salmon was served with a crispy skin. The celery and peanut salad complemented the salmon well. 4. The pork belly was full of flavor. It was served with glass noodles. 5. The HIGHLIGHT of dinner was the pork shank. It was served with a strawberry salad, cucumbers, hoisin mayo sauce, hot mustard sauce, naan, and lettuce. The meat fell of the bone. This is a MUST try. For dessert we ordered the blackberries & butter cake. It was served with a frozen blackberry basil jam which had the consistency of a sorbet and basil whipped cream. I ended up ordering the Santo's Turkey Melt which is smoked turkey, grilled onions, Swiss cheese, and chipotle aioli served on sourdough with a side of french fries.
