Thank God this place is out of business. I wanted to sue them for malpractice and insurance fraud. I chipped one tooth and they said they had to remove the good teeth one on each side of the chipped tooth to put in a permanent bridge. Never offered me the opportunity for a tooth implant. They pulled the two good teeth on the upper part front of my mouth. They put in the permanent bridge and low and behold they didn't scan it iright and when they put it in I was able to push air between the gym line and bridge with no resistance what do ever. So everytime I talked I the whisp noise because of the gap. The dentist had the nerve to tell me that my gums were deteriorating due to age. I only had the bridge in for 3 weeks. They finally agreed to fix it. However there was ne need for the extreme measures and cost to take out my 3 top front teeth when I'm the only one is chipped. I will be keeping a eye out for him to see if he reopens or practices again. I will slap him with a malpractice suit read more

Do not choose them! 1st , I am now out of $600 for a service that wasn't done properly. I should have gotten a root canal which I asked them to do but they absolutely recommended a crown. (more expensive ofcourse). my crown then cracked not even 2 months later. fast forward to now I'm in a lot of pain and not able to eat properly in any way. I go back in for another appointment and they immediately recommended a root canal not even actually looking at my tooth. (as I recommended) my tooth root had been dead for years (hadn't been in for 5 years) my cleanings were mediocre. they've also done services on me without reminder or letting me know in advance what was happening!! **For example: I had gotten two sealants done without knowing. I would have loved to know I was even getting the service. (was not in for 6 months) I stopped him midway he was going to do 2 more, because it felt further than a cleaning obviously. I will say a couple of the dental assistants were wonderful and were much more knowledgeable and helpful than the doctor himself. this was 2 people out of all of the staff though. you know, how poorly run offices are run. (they really should leave ) the way the doctor runs things is awful. the poor people that have been mislead and taken advantage at this place is terrible. i feel bad for those that work under him that protect him probably thinking they work for a wonderful establishment. and those that are are getting services at this place. read more

I have been a client of dr. Clemons and his crew for many years. I have know him since he was a young man with no facial hair. Today I had an appointment with two young women I did not know before. One is an African American young lady who is wonderful. She was very gentle and very friendly... she did an awesome job polishing my pearly whites. The other one was a dental hygienist who did an amazing job cleaning my teeth which I have not done for a bit due to the military changing our insurance often. I was amazed that she was so gentle and the minimal discomfort paid in kind when I got home and smiled at the mirror... I can't wait to do the deep cleaning. Amanda read more

I love this dentist office! I've been coming here along with my two boys and husband for over 3 years now. Staff is always friendly. They are always gentle and thorough. I appreciate that they are not pushy on extra services and I've never had any billing issues as was common with previous offices. The staff make sure I'm comfortable during all the cleaning steps as well. They do a great job with my young boys too. If you need extra things done such as fillings they always check your insurance first and give you the exact amount it will cost prior to the services. read more

"Tried to get the color to match my tooth as best as possible" ... wait, WHAT?! RED FLAG #1: I have been here a total of 3 time and will never go back. The first time I went in - as soon as I sat down in the chair they took a picture of my teeth. They came in and told me this is what I would look like if I had dental lumineers and that there was a special on them. I was a new patient so I had to pay a $10.00 fee to get my teeth cleaned. I have never had to pay that before... RED FLAG #2: When I went to go get my fillings done, Dr. Mark Manroe let one of his assistants "that was a little rusty" and "needed to get refamiliarized" with doing resin fillings, fix my cavity. NOPE. This lady proceeded to tell me that when she got her wisdom teeth taken out she did it "one at a time so she could smoke out of the other side of her mouth without getting dry sockets." ** thumbs up, lady ** RED FLAG #3: The woman messed up my filling by getting a piece of my gum into the tooth which created a speck on my front tooth. I went in so they would fix it (which they did for free). After I was done the woman told me, "I tried to get the color to match your tooth as best as possible." GREAT! And asked me if I had considered getting lumineers to fix it. I proceeded to get a bill way higher than the price they told me they were going to be because they didn't contact my insurance properly. This place is a joke and a rip off. They give dentists a bad name and mess up the joy of going to the dentist. Malpractice at it's finest. If I could give this place no stars, I would. Upon transferring to a new dentist I found out that 2 of the fillings they did had FALLEN OUT. And to get my dental records from them I would have to pay them a fee of $15.00. SCREW THAT. read more

This merry band of screwups can't get anything right. 1) I first went there because they offer same day crowns with the false assumption the practice was more state of the art. Bad call. I arrive at my schedule time then was told after my tooth was ground down that the office was planning on attending a wedding and they did not have time to complete the work. So now I had to come back a week later to finish it. But I was charged same day crown prices. 2) Good news! the insurance paid more they originally thought. Come in for your other crown. This time same day crown turned into another week. Their POS equipment is not working right and no one in the office knows how to work it. Again charged for a same day crown prices. 3) I come in a week later and the assitant that was doing fitting of the crown looked in my mouth and determined that I needed a root canal. Handed me documents of where to go etc. RED FLAG She was so excited when the dentist walked in that she was so proud that she diagnosed it. The dentist just let her go on and just ignored the whole thing. At this point I decided that this is it and had no intentions of ever going back 4) The MAJOR RED FLAG is their billing. It's a con game. They make you pay the full amount after the insurance (which they caluclate some how) before you leave the office. Turns out they over charge you and claim the insurance paid more than expected as a con to make you come back to get more work done. Once I can understand but they did it twice. I never recieved a statements showing my account balance. I was done with them and never went back when receiving texts to come in for a cleaning. 5) Then I get a text telling me that I have credit on my account and wanting me to come back. I didn't know until I went back to the office to get a statement for my account to find out that they were holding $550 of my money for a YEAR AND A HALF !!!!!!!!!!!! There is no one in the office to give me a refund so I wait. I'm sure there is going to be more to this ongoing nightmare. read more

I originally started going here when I did not have dental insurance as they offer a "10am-2pm club" that gave you a small discount for not having insurance. They were great then, and great now even with insurance. I've had my wisdom teeth removed here, even without being put under local anesthetic there was minimal pain and staff made me feel very comfortable. I've had fillings here, and they offered to do them right then, or to make an appointment. A few years ago I chipped my front 2 teeth in a car wreck and they offered to "smooth it out" free of charge and it looks so much better and less noticeable. My regular cleanings are quick and painless, the doctors are both friendly and show concern. This will be my dentist for quite some time. read more

This place is the absolute worse!!! I had a check stolen from me while in their possession and when I found out about the fraudulent check and asked the situation to be handled I was told they were working on it. Here it is 5 months later and nobody has an answer on who, when,where or how my check was stolen from them. I called today and was told "the bank wants me to close all my accounts in order for this matter to be handled and I'm not doing that" by the office manager Cathy. Just saddens me that my hard earned money was taken from me and they don't seem to care because it wasn't money that they were loosing. The head dentist is fantastic but this place is all about making money and doesn't care who they hurt or damage in the process as long as they are getting paid for it. I got a coupon in the mail which was misleading. I thought the coupon was for a full cleaning but it was only for xrays and visit from doctor. The workers were nice & dentist were nice BUT it is a scam. I wanted to get a new dentist because mine retired! They wanted to sell me on Sealant, an expensive toothpaste or 6 hour toothpaste to help prevent cavities even though I have NO PROBLEMS. I asked how much a cleaning was since I swear the coupon was for a cleaning so they gave me a price of $78 for a cleaning since I don't have insurance at the moment. So sure I'll pay that BUT I didn't get a cleaning they just took xrays, saw the doctor, and they flossed my teeth. I would NOT recommend this place to anyone. read more

The practice is very well organized. I do like the dental hygienists. This last time, Dr. Monroe was unavailable so another dentist checked the cleaning. He had a picture of a tooth with a porcelain filling. He suggested a 3/4 crown while telling me there were no cracks or decay. To me the tooth looked good. He presented me with a 650.00 estimate. I told him the tooth wasn't hurting bad with no cracks or decay why do it know. He was confident it needed to be done within the week. I left pretty u happy but did schedule the appointment for later in the week. On the way home I called the insurance and asked for a second opinion. They agreed. Went to a recommended dentist. He disagreed that the tooth needed work at this point in time. He thought the tooth was in excellent condition and the filling looked new. Well, I now have a new dentist. read more

I had a number of fillings completed by the dentist at Dental Innovations. Although I often felt the experience was vey impersonal and rushed I liked that the price was low and the work was fast. Only a few months after having these fillings done two of those fillings feel out and I returned to dental innovations where they were replaced for free. Finally after the third filling came out I decided to go somewhere else. My current dentist is also a professor at the local KU dental school and says that the fillings I received from Dental Innovations were done incorrectly and against "widely accepted practices on how to perform fillings." i have a couple more fillings from Dental Innovations that that are showing fractures because they were also improperly done and i will have to spend time and extra money to replace them as they fall out of my mouth one by one. Go here if you like fast and cheap but understand that you get what you pay for. read more

I am posting this on behalf of my mother who was a patient in early April 2017 "I was two days into a thirty day cross country trip when I fractured my tooth. I called from our hotel and the staff at Dental Innovations told me to come right in and that they would work me into the schedule, which they did. I needed a crown which they were able to make on premise. Less than four hours after arriving I left with my new crown and was able to continue on our trip. I've been going to Dental Innovations for a few years and I will not go back after a recent incident. At every visit they hounded me to get a night guard b/c I grind at night, but they are $400. Finally I agreed, but they never told me that it would feel like a piece of concrete in your mouth, that you can't close your mouth with it in and that it was not refundable. I tried it and could not sleep so I went back and told them, which is when the assistant finally told me "yeah, a lot of people can't tolerate it which is a shame b/c it's so expensive'. Again- something I should have been told. They made another mold and tried for a 'thinner' version, which was exactly the same. I complained to the manager that I was not informed fully of the purchase, and was not happy with this, and she (after rolling her eyes and making a face when she thought I wasn't looking) told me the branch manager would call me b/c she is the only one who could do something. That was a month ago. I have called back twice and keep getting ignored. This place is like the Burger King of dentistry- they want you in, push you through service. upsell you and then want you out. read more

Staff was friendly but received a hefty bill after I had already paid for my 2 filling and when I called them to resolve this issue they said they weren't sure how much insurance would cover my fillings unless I requested them to get an estimate..... which no one EVER explained to me!!! WARNING: DO NOT GO HERE! This place is a total scam. I have never left a review anywhere, but feel obligated to do so in this situation. I received a promotional post card in the mail and went here for a routine check up and cleaning after not going to the dentist for a few years. I told them this, thinking I could trust them to tell me if there were any problems. They took x-rays and pictures and within 10 minutes, told me I had bone loss, severe gum disease and a ton of cavities, some of which needed a cap - think more than 10. Now, I have no pain in my mouth whatsoever, brush and floss my teeth twice a day and only drink water (no sugary drinks, no smoking, etc.). Then they had a woman come in with an "action plan" saying that overall, I needed about $1500 worth of dental work that was not covered by my dental insurance. I left and immediately called my childhood dentist (who I should've just gone to in the first place) and asked if they could give me a second opinion. At this appointment, they reassured me that I had no bone loss, two minor cavities that definitely did not need caps, and some irritation in my gums behind a permanent retainer. Most, if not all of this will be covered by my insurance. Luckily, I figured it out before losing any money or having work done that was not necessary. read more

My 4 yr old daughter has had her teeth cleaned here twice. The hygienist and dentist both did an acceptable job but we will not be returning. I recently changed jobs and am in between insurance coverage until 5/1 but my daughter was excited about going to the dentist and I didn't want to cancel and disappoint her. I figured I could pay out of pocket with HSA funds and it wouldn't be too expensive. I asked if there were any specials or discounts going on and was told there were not, so I went ahead and paid $182 for a simple exam, cleaning and fluoride treatment. The hygienist actually almost forgot to do the fluoride treatment (my daughter was out of the chair and ready to go when I asked if it had already been done) so that was a little WTF. A day after her cleaning, I got a postcard in the mail from Dental Innovations offering an adult or child's cleaning for $59. That ticked me off so I called to ask why I wasn't offered this discount at the time of her cleaning if it was obviously going on. I was told that it was for new patients only which was an outright lie as the postcard clearly had a new patient only special for $10. The $59 special was separate and made no mention of new patients only. So then I questioned why we were sent this offer when we are clearly not new patients... to which the office manager had no answer. She gave me an 800 number and said I could call and ask to be removed from the mailing list. It was for a company that handled all of their mailings for them and she had nothing to do with them. So, basically, Dental Innovations is selling their customer information to a third party that they have no dealings with or can control in any way. That should alarm most people. Also, when I called the 800 number, I got an automated response that stated, "The number you have dialed is unavailable from your calling area." and then disconnected. In conclusion, this place is very, very sketchy. I don't think they have any interest in cultivating long-term, satisfied patients. We promptly cancelled our follow-up appointment after the dismissive phone call I had with the office manager and will not be back. read more

I went to Dental innovations for two Front tooth veneers. The veneers were installed when I saw them I immediately noticed that they did not look natural and did not match the color of the rest of my teeth. The dentist attempted to convince me that the veneers looked fine and that I needed to get use to them. I continued to dislike the way my teeth appeared. In addition to the poor work done on the veneers I was also misinformed by billing that insurance would cover my procedure. However after the work was complete they "regrettably" informed me that they were incorrect and that insurance could not cover anything leaving me 100% percent responsible for $2700 !! I was only offered an apology and the opportunity to be placed on a payment plan.The office manager is very disrespectful and rude.The dentist refused to correct the poor work without charging me full price again. I also had two fillings come out within a year of being installed. The work done by this dentist is sloppy. The dentist lacks accountability and I would not refer anyone to receive any form of dental work here. read more
