They arrived in the early afternoon on Mother's Day and the flowers were fantastic. My mom especially loved the purple colored vase. The message that they asked for when I placed the online order was even written on a separate card. I had written part of the message in Spanish and it was written perfectly! OK, I have to tell you about Antioch Florist. I ordered a sympathy standing spraying for my aunt's "life celebration". She passed away in a different state, so this was the service the family was having locally. Anyway, I totally blew it and ordered the flowers for the wrong Saturday (one week early). When I realized my mistake at 7PM on Friday, I called Antioch Florist expecting to get a voicemail. Instead a woman answered. Hoping they hadn't already made the arrangement, I explained my mistake. But it was too late, the standing spray was made and ready to go. I felt sick because I knew I couldn't afford to pay for another arrangement (I was already using my gas money for the week for this one). But before I could say another word, the woman offered to remake the arrangement for the correct day. Now, that's GREAT customer service. I can't comment on the quality of the flowers because I obviously haven't seen them, but the level of service I received was fantastic. read more

WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE EVER!!!!! I ordered a bouquet of flowers for Mother's Day through FTD, apparently Antioch Florists is a vendor through them. I was very excited for my mom to receive the flowers that I chose for her. To my horror the bouquet that arrived didn't look anything like the bouquet I chose (see pics below). I immediately called and let them know that I was not satisfied because half of the bouquet was literally missing. The lady on the phone was very nice and said I can bring it in and they will fix it. I brought the bouquet in and the lady at the desk was very nice and apologetic... BUT soon another lady ran from the back room and was began by being very defensive and started verbally attacking me saying that IT IS the bouquet that is in the pictures and what's the problem (I was trying not to get upset) I told her that it was only half of a bouquet and that some of the flowers were damaged or had holes in them. She then said "oh! well it's a one sided bouquet" (I've never heard of a one sided bouquet before) and I told her that... then I said that when I ordered the flowers it was not in the description. At that point they said it's not in the description and they're not sure why "FTD" doesn't put it in there because it would save a lot of confusion. Thankfully the other lady saved the situation by just saying that they will fix it. I was already put off by the other ladies rudeness but agreed to have it fixed... during that time I had a pleasant conversation with the first lady about some of the other flowers on display. I saw one that I liked (which was less than what I paid for my original bouquet) and asked if I can just have that one since my mom was in the car and we had reservations (plus honestly my faith in the other lady being able to fix the previous bouquet was slim to none). The original lady agreed and was even nice enough to make sure all the flowers were fine and swapped out the ones that were not. I wish that was the end of my story BUT IT WAS NOT!!!! So I got to work that Tuesday and had to call FTD for another order that I was making... during that conversation I decided to ask about "one-sided" bouquets since I had never heard of them. The rep said she never heard of them either... (They are typical when they will be held in the crook of someone's arm) **mind you I was not asking for a refund** I had already told the rep that I had dealt with the florist directly and they had given me another bouquet. The rep from FTD said she was going to reach out to the florist to find out why it was done as a "one-sided" bouquet since it wasn't in the discerption (see picture below) Long story short between the time the rep called the florist and us finishing up our convo... Someone from the florist shop called my mom (the recipient of the flowers) not me (the purchaser) and pretty much chewed her out stating that I "stabbed them in the back" by calling FTD and trying to get a refund (again I DID NOT ASK FOR A REFUND- I merely asked a question) the conversation ended with the lady hanging up on my mom!!!! to say that I was livid is putting it mildly. My mom texted me while I was still on the phone with FTD and they were horrified that someone would call my mom (the recipient) about anything to do with the order! And I agree, that is the most unprofessional and classless thing I've ever heard of in my life! The manager at FTD was involved and they said that neither me nor my mom should be hearing from the florist at all in the future and that they will handle it. Honestly I am still extremely upset and am doing everything in my power to make sure no one makes the mistake of buying flowers from a shop that would treat anyone... let alone a paying customer in that manner... what happened to taking pride in the service you provide and giving exceptional customer service (especially from a small business). Please save your money and chose another florist who will treat you with dignity and respect. **I hold no ill will towards FTD it is not their fault that this florist is tacky and unprofessional! And FTD made sure I was taken care of! (I will still order from FTD in the future... but to make sure NOT to have my flowers filled by Antioch Florist! read more

I placed two floral arragement orders via www.fromyouflowers.com. Apparently, they use this florist (Antioch) to fill their orders. I put a lot of time into picking out the "right" arrangement and upgrading the floral sizes and yet, was so disappointed that what was delivered did not match the pictures. Both arrangements should have arrived in a clear vase. Both came in colored vases; one pink and one red. They were flowers that were sent as a "thank you" yet the colors did not mirror that sentiment not to mention I specifically ordered floral arrangements in clear vases. The quality of the flowers were great but again, if we choose an arragement via on-line pictures, that is what the end user should receive. I don't mind spending money but I do not feel it's too far fetched to want what I am paying for. Very disappointed! read more

RIP OFF WARNING! I recently ordered from their website and had a bouquet delivered to a friend recovering from surgery in the hospital. I spent so much time selecting the perfect assortment in the bouquet, and I was heartsick when I arrived at the hospital for a visit and the bouquet looks horrible! MAJOR PROBLEMS: - I requested they call before making any substitutions. Over HALF the bouquet was substituted and I was never contacted. I had to find out when I went to visit at the hospital. - Photo showed 3 roses, description read that there would be yellow and white. The delivered bouquet only had 2 yellow roses. - The bouquet was SOLID WHITE other than these two yellow roses and was very uneven. - The bouquet didn't have a single yellow alstroemeria - It was substituted with CHEAP WHITE DASIES! - 25% of the bouquet was greenery, including yellow/green accents that were not in the example photo and did not look good in the arrangement. OVERALL: I feel ripped off. I feel scammed. But most of all, I feel sad. I spent time and money on something I felt was the right gift for my ailing friend, only to get screwed over. I usually order my flowers through proflowers (and am thoroughly satisfied), but on this occasion I needed some flowers quick. I found it to be expensive for what I got and even more disappointing, is that the flowers are wilted and folding over after only 2 days. The owner Cara has the WORST customer service, and is EXTREMELY unprofessional! My son had order a wristlet for his prom and when I went to pick it up, there were a couple baby flowers on it and one tiny piece of blue ribbon! She went on and on telling me how this was beautiful. She clearly felt insulted by me simply stating that I felt my son may not like it. Keep in mind, she had me prepay for it and even though she was @15$ more than my local florist we still went ahead with the order because my son LOVED the color of her ribbon. When I asked her for a refund, she said NO! Keep in mind there is NOTHING stated anywhere that you can not get a refund. She was yelling and throwing a tantrum in the back and told me to take my flowers and leave or she would call the police. Clearly I felt I was entitled to having the arrangement fixed or a refund issued and she refused to do either one! I stood outside waiting for the police to arrive and then a few minutes later she runs out and offers a generic apology and said "I added more ribbon". So I went on to Antioch Florist's website and ordered an arrangement as a get well gift. It was amazingly BEAUTIFUL and identical if not better than the picture. Then, just recently I ordered a plant for my father in law to send for the birth of his great grand daughter. I received a personal phone call to discuss a different arrangement as the one he selected was not available. I told her I would leave it In Her hands. And it was even nicer than the one he chose. Due to unforeseen circumstances, I was unable to get funeral details until the last minute for an out of town funeral. I placed an on-line order with Antioch Florist at 1:30 a.m. and requested a same day delivery to the funeral home. I called Antioch Florist later that same morning to inquire if it was possible to have the flowers delivered that day on such short notice. Not only were they very kind and understanding but so very professional and assured me the flowers would indeed be delivered as I requested. My family notified me later that day that the flowers were there and they were lovely. I couldn't be more pleased. I recently had a very bad experience with a florist in Montclair, CA. so it was wonderful to actually find a florist with superior customer service. They have renewed my faith in good service from a florist. I can't thank the good folks at Antioch Florist enough. read more
