I went here in 2009 with a severe pinched nerve that caused EXTREME knotted up pain all around my right scapula area with pain radiating up and down my right arm, a repetitive stress injury I sustained from my job in front of a computer and keyboard. Anyway I was COMPLETELY healed after a number of visits with Chris to the point where I could not recall what my pain felt like. Serious. 1 1/2 years later my injury came back with an ATTITUDE! I went to get a massage somewhere that made things worse. I was in so much pain for about 2 months until I started coming back to see Chris. First of all it smells like stinky feet in the patient area. They shuffle you around like cattle, and they talk too much about nothing. They are loud and don't pay enough attention to patients needs. The office is rude especially the office manager, I overheard her telling someone that there insurance was not paying his bills, as if it was his fault. It Sounds to me she doesn't want to do her job. Randy is a joke he is the owner, he needs to invest in new equipment. They have equipment from the 1960s. Why doesn't he spend the money right and get some stick ups. Don't waste your time here. read more

I can't believe that I am writing this review, because I was having such a wonderful time with my therapist Randy. We laughed and told stories and I really enjoyed the process. However because they are such short staff you end up doing your therapy unsupervised so I believe this was the downfall. I was asked to do these side steps and idk crab walks from one end of the walkway to the other, up and back two times. I did the crab walks they where fine but switching to the side steps I was feeling tightening in my lower back on my left injured knee side. It wasn't too bad at the time so I finished my therapy with ice and stem on my knee. I live 7 min away, by the time I reached my door I was in so much pain on my lower back closer to my sciatica nerve and lower back left side pain. Only thing I could do was lay on my stomach in agony. I called Kaiser and made an apt but the pain was getting so bad that I went to Kaiser's ER. They gave me a shot, some muscle relaxer and Motrin and sent me home. I called Randy in Friday to see if he could fit me in, he said sure come in. Now I had been taking meds so I thought I heard 11:40 but he said 10:40, so when I got there he had left. I could only have heat and stem on my back and they refused to treat me because the therapist coming in was not my mine so he couldn't treat me. I was in bed for the next 2 days with no change so I made a phone Apt they gave me stronger meds and some steroids to lessen the irritation of my nerve. So now I go in for my apt on Tues with Randy he says nothing about my back and sets me up like a normal day. I let him put on the heat and stem. Then I as him so are we not going to talk about my back at all not how am I what happened how are you feeling today. Zero!! Then he says I can give you ice and heat but in order to treat that area you have to ask your ex to include that body part. I think that's crappy. I did this on your watch you should tell someone to include this not me. I didn't do this to myself. I just wish you would have sympathized with my pain and asked how I was doing. That's great bedside manor Randy. But I got what I got so I canceled the rest of my treatment with you and am taking my business else where. Good luck read more

I recently completed physical therapy for a work-related injury and these folks are the best! They are friendly, professional, compassionate and have a great sense of humor. I could not move my left arm and had limited mobility with my left knee. I now have full use of both, plus exercises to maintain and build strength over time. This is my first EVER Yelp Review, and really one of the only reviews I've ever made. Stay FAR FAR AWAY from Antioch Physical Therapy. Their front office is not reasonable to the needs of patients and difficulty of the times. I was referred to them directly from my insurance company, and they had updated referrals from my surgeon and hospital however, they rejected me on the grounds that their policy is very firm that if you do not have the card, you can't get help. This isn't the 1800's where internet access and phones haven't been invented yet. The managers definitely have the ability to verify my insurance ID number because they have to do that anyway to bill my insurance company. Granted, she told me I need the physical card itself beforehand, but it would take up to two or more weeks to get a replacement card which wouldn't have been enough time anyways. I showed up at their facility on time for my appointment but was turned away because I did not have my physical copy of my medical insurance, even though I had all my information and my ID number which is more than enough to verify insurance. Furthermore, the manager was very curt and blunt to me when I showed up for the appointment. She didn't take the time to explain the policy and their reasonings at all. I've been coming here for months now due to my degenerating & arthritic back/hips, as well as my scoliosis (insert really sad face here...). Randy has been my therapist the entire time, in fact I schedule my appointments around his availability. He is patient, kind, funny as all hell, and compassionate. I've had many shots of cortisone in my back as well as nerve blockers put in, so some days are waaaaay worse than others, and on those days his sensitivity to my pain shines, and he is sure to take extra gentle care of me. I love him for that. I'm grateful for this office and it's staff, but Randy is without a doubt their biggest asset. read more

It would be helpful if the secretary was more inviting and not rude to everybody that walks in. It would also be helpful if she didn't commit a HIPAA violation on the first day I received therapy. I've been there six times and every time she's been very rude. A gentleman was in front of me today and he complained about how rude she is. He stated that he said good morning and she ignored him however she was on the phone but she put somebody on hold to tell him he needed a mask. He was very put off by that. I said yes she's been rude many times to me as well. She was still on the phone but when she got off she complained to somebody what had happened. The lady scolded me for telling a new patient that she is rude. I did offer him a mask so he could stay but he chose to go somewhere else. I also am choosing to go somewhere else... especially after she said she would talk to me about it in a minute and then she had a physical therapist come in and acting like I did something wrong for telling the guy I see his point of you. He told me I didn't have to tell a new patient that. I don't know how they would expect me to know he is a new patient first of all and secondly, I don't work for you and maybe just maybe, the person that is getting paid to work for you... Should be talked to about her attitude , professionalism, and etiquette. I didn't mistreat the man for she did just like she has done to me. I won't be scolded for someone else's behavior. No I do not recommend this place I will be going to Brentwood physical therapy. I definitely will not come back here. read more

I didn't have a pleasant experience with Antioch PT. I was referred to them due to back pain with numbness in my right foot and other symptoms. As it turned out, unknown to me, I had a severe herniated disc. Before my 2nd appointment, it got to the point where I lost control of my legs. I called and was told to apply ice to my back. I went to ER and that is where I was directed to have a MRI which identified the herniated disc. I was then able to have surgery to remove and all is fine. I really fell that a PT office should know when symptoms are severe enough that physical therapy won't help and that more extreme measures should be taken, such as in my case. read more

I went there after shoulder surgery. The main therapist and including all of the staff are far from being professionals. I didn't get anything out of them except a loud headache every day I had to be there. The only thing they can talk about is football or baseball and they scream at each other ignoring the fact that patients are there for one purpose which is to get better, they forget that we are there. In fact, I constantly had to go and look for my therapist. I will never go back there even if I was offered money. read more

I went to these guys for over four months on a weekly basis (for a while twice a week) after a major knee surgery. Let's put it this way- I went from barely being able to bend my knee, to a fully functional one. It was a long, frustrating process, but I feel fortunate to have had access to this group. Every step of the way the staff here was friendly, encouraging, and created a pace that suited my knee, to make sure I get back on track. Marty was my therapist, and he was incredibly smart with his approach. I can tell from the collective area, the other therapists were just as dedicated and knowledgeable. Beyond being great at what they do, they were all friendly, warm folks- when you have to go to a group 1-2 times a week, that charm goes a long way. Definitely recommend them! read more

I was very disappointed in my treatment I received. I went in for a broken ankle and my treatment was hot/cold whirlpool baths, followed by tens units with ice. I later found out I had a torn tendon, and needed surgery, I then had a surprise in the bill I was sent. $478 dollars with insurance. I could not believe it, if I would have known that I could have done the same treatment at home with my tub, and my tens unit and ice. I was sick to my stomach, and felt taken advantage of! On top of all this, many times during my appointment they had several patients at once, and ended up sitting waiting for my therapist for 5-10 minutes. read more
