It is a great place to people watch, and I find it ironic that someone has built a giant art project featuring a surfing Buddha made entirely of trash, given that many of the products sold there are going to end up there. The symbolism of Encinitas culture is hard to ignore with Paramahansa Yogananda's Ashram Center and Meditation Gardens perched above one of the greatest surfing spots in the world.
