If you like kitch and are looking for crafty,this is the place for you . Years ago when they first opened,I visited and at that time it leaned more towards vintage and antique. You know,grandmas quilt,Aunt Doris Hope Chest. It's now evolved to none of that and more " Creators Market" let me say,I get it. I know what people are doing and I respect it. Just not for me. For X dollars a month,you rent a small space( booth) and set up shop. Everything under the sun is here. Honey,lotions, jewelry, lamps made from Whiskey bottles. Most of us have seen these places. I think they're dream factories. People looking for recognition of their creativity and making a couple of bucks along the way. I'm 100% behind this idea . I came in here with the Intent of finding someone interested in buying a few antiques I'm selling. I was surprised to find the opposite of what I expected. Enjoy the photos. One of my favorite places to shop local! Lonestar Mercantile is such a fun spot to explore -- it's like a treasure hunt every time I go. The variety is amazing, from antiques and vintage décor to handmade gifts, seasonal items, and beautiful local art. There's something for everyone, and you never leave empty-handed. The space is clean, well-organized, and easy to walk through (even when it's busy). I love that everything feels thoughtfully curated, and the vendors really put their hearts into their booths. This place is a lot of fun! Personally, I try to come once a month so that I can see everything! Usually, by the time I return everything has changed and I have to start all over! Not a bummer at all, since I always find something to buy! I can not see everything in one day because it is a true happy overload! I love to look at everything and honestly, you can't really take it all in, in one day. This place is really a huge building full of wonderful items! Each of the units are set up on streets. I enjoy spending time strolling the streets. There are employees strolling the area too. You can always ask one of them for help locating items you are searching for. The advice is free! There are several in the surrounding cities and we enjoyed our visit today at this location. It's very organized and easy to walk through the various rows of booths. It's worth returning and we plan to head back soon. I recommend a visit to this shop. read more

Can you say sensory overload?! They have something for everyone here. This is an eclectic collection of things: candles, signs, clothes, jewelry, collectibles, etc. They don't have much in the way of furniture but this would be a good place for someone to put up a repurposed furniture booth featuring chalk painted items. They have a Starbucks machine in the entrance, grab you a cup and meander for an hour or so! read more

I'm love this place I can get absolutely just lost in my thoughts looking at all the beautiful & interesting items that they have.. Everyone is so nice and helpful. It's a great place to go and spend time and look for unique fun items and every week there's something different their merchants change their stock and rotate it regularly. They have a wonderful selection of gifts, jewelry, clothing and home decor. It's a wonderful way to spend an afternoon.

If I could give this place zero stars I would. First , I saw the manager screaming at people who I believe rented space there. Second , a lot of the booths had the same things for sale. Lastly , the bathrooms were gross. Sad I waisted 1/2 my vacation day here , I'd rather shop on Etsy. read more

This place is really neat. If you haven't visited yet, it's worth the trip. The building looks as though it was a grocery store at one point. It's HUGE inside. Each vendor has their own little space partitioned off. You can find just about anything here. I saw jams and jellies, local honey, homemade salsa and various spices, items for your pets, homemade soaps and bath stuff, candles, wood crafts, antiques, jewelry, a ton of fun gifts like socks and kitchen towels, and even customized yeti cups. That's just a small portion. Make sure you have about an hour and a half to spend here. The aisles can get a little confusing and you can get turned around quickly if you're not paying attention. As another reviewer pointed out, this is definitely not a place to let small children roam as there are LOTS of breakables. I saw a few adults accidentally knocking things off onto the floor by accident. I can only imagine the havoc a running child might create. There is plenty of parking out front and the employees are all very nice from what I've encountered in my handful of visits. They do have restrooms inside as well. There is another mercantile shop similar to this one (Frisco Mercantile) that we visited a few hours prior. I noticed some of the same items in both stores (holiday pillows, clothes, etc.). Please note that this is NOT a place for young children, especially if the kid likes to touch everything because the booths are small and there are lots of loose breakable chotckies around. There are a lot of booths in this mercantile to browse. Some unique booths, but many are the same wooden signs. Unlike other mercantiles in the area, Lone Star has many staff walking the floor constantly asking if you need help. All sales are final, so be careful when buying clothes, as there are no fitting rooms available. Hubby and I found that the prices were a little high. Good place to go for those who are Pinterest fans, but are not crafty. If you are crafty, you can probably make many of the products cheaper. read more

Lots of unique booths interspersed with a lot of "Made in China" items. When we went through there were at least 10 booths marked for new vendors. The space is laid out very well and overall it's easy to spend a few hours poking around. We ended up finding a few good items and lots of good ideas. We will definitely be back. read more

This place is a hidden gem. I've lived 5 minutes from here for over a year and decided to stop in last month. I've been back 3 more times! I have found home decor items I've wanted forever here and at a much lower cost than other stores. One of a kind, vintage, things for my husband, things for my daughter, things for my mom.
