They also have knick knacks, jewelry, pottery, toys, art, and more. The store was quite busy with customers while I was there. It was nice to see. The staff was friendly and helpful, quickly opening glass cases when I wanted to see something. Their inventory is so large I found it difficult to see everything in one visit. Their prices are reasonable. I ended up buying some California pottery, a framed floral print, and an MCM trinket dish. I'm looking forward to returning and taking another look around the store. There is a parking lot in the back of the building. Note: Some vendors have modern items mixed in with their antiques. A quick Google image search before you buy is a good idea if you care about the age of an item.

Phil was quite helpful and the prices are a bargain for the antique. The teacup and saucer I bought had 24K gold painted lines. I browsed the rest of the store out of wonderment to see what other hidden treasures were preserved over the decades. He showed me dishware made of uranium. They glowed green under the light. He explained the dishware were made in 1888. After they learned uranium was dangerous, no more dishware were made. Whatever you find will only be for collection purposes. He has a good amount well kept as pictured along with other blast from the past cameras for the photographer aficionado. Stop by and see if you find something worthy for your taste in decorating, staging and collecting.

This time I saw at least half a dozen things I really, REALLY wanted but just couldn't justify buying right now, OR, I already had something similar; for example, do I really, REALLY need a fourth Hollywood Regency-style hamper? This store has a very different feel from the others on the strip. It's not fussy, it's a lot hipper, and it's definitely tongue-in-cheek. I very much like the direction the owner has taken. An annual tradition in Niles Fremont, this event promises unique vendors and historical vibes for a day of shopping, strolling, and browsing some of Fremont's oldest shops. I was disappointed that most of the goods being sold weren't actually antiques or even solid thrift finds. There were some standouts, such as vintage race jackets and personalized licensed plates from way back when, but for the most part I wasn't too impressed with the inventory. I ended up purchasing 2 cute pins for friends but they were probably things I could have bought elsewhere too. Parking was also a bit of a nightmare, though we had been warned well ahead of time that there wasn't a lot of it. Even though we got there early (7 am) we still had trouble finding a spot. Some storefronts (residents?) were charging up to $20 to park in a small cramped lot. I get that space is scarce for an event like this, but more signage and regulation would have helped. Thank goodness we had gotten there early. Overall, I'm glad I experienced this antique fair once, but as a longtime thrifter looking for something a little more special, probably won't be coming back soon.

Since this town, and Niles Street in particular, is already lined with numerous antique shops, it didn't make much of a difference with merchants selling just a handful of vintage items from these outdoor tents. In fact, there were a plethora of yard sales taking place all around the neighborhood, some which had better stuff than the actual antique faire. We saw about 3-4 food/drink stands selling mexican food, hot dogs, kettle corn, and more. Not a whole lot of options and nothing really noteworthy. We did end up having giant sausages from the Giant Badass Sausage tent for lunch. It was juicy and definitely filling, and we were able to picnic on the grass at Niles Town Plaza. Parking for this event sucks! So many closed roads, with the organizers not even giving a hint to visitors as to parking options. In the neighborhood, people were selling spaces for $10-25 just to park. Along with slow moving traffic and cramped streets, it was not a fun experience. Even with a few cool items here and there, overall, this outdoor market was a disappointment. I probably wouldn't return, not worth it. I recommend just visiting the town of Niles and its antique stores on a regular day.

I've been in on several occasions and it's because their inventory changes weekly. The new owner Mark treats everyone like family. In fact the shop is run by his family and friends who are also like family. Mark the owner is a treasure hunter of sorts, traveling around for those rare finds at estate sales and demolitions. This is where you go to find a unique item. An Alice in Wonderland type theme , you can understand why when it feels like you've taken a jump into the rabbit hole of trinkets. I went inside and met this older gentleman (who seemed like he liked to drink a lot of alcohol for some reason) and he showed me around in the back. He said that the owner was not there very often, because he was always in different shows. When he is not there, the house was kept closed. I wanted so much to enter the house, but was pleased when I saw all the assortment they had in that very LONG back yard. The furniture and other items were quite dirty and dusty, but there were so many beautiful old things to see. Really old furniture with wonderful carvings and details, old wrought iron garden items, old paintings, etc. etc. I really liked going around the back yard and spent quite a bit of time there. I ended up choosing a gorgeous antique print in an equally beautiful antique carved frame. I was prepared to pay at least $50, because I was already totally in love with it, when the gentleman gave it to me for $10. I was not about to complain. I wish that the store can be open on more regular hours, so that I can see what's inside the house. The old gentleman told me that the owner kept the "really nice stuff" in there!

Imagine my surprise when I walked in and saw the perfect one right away! Not only was it exactly what I had been looking for, but it was huge--and only $28. I couldn't believe it, especially since I've seen similar ones listed for around $75 on Facebook Marketplace. On top of that, the staff were incredibly friendly and welcoming. They took the time to chat with me and made the whole experience feel personal, and they carefully wrapped my purchase so it made it home safely.
