A fleamarket treasure trove open all the time! Instead of waiting for the big Alameda and Treasure Island flea markets you can come here, their elevator pitch being "unusual toys and antiques for your mancave or home". We were wandering Niles after the farmers market and its hard to miss this shop, they often display some inventory and interesting items outside. Inside is larger than you think, a sprawl of mainly toys. There are curated display sections where toys are clustered by type and its easy to see but also boxes full of mixed things for those that like digging. It does feel better suited for treasure hunters and those who want to discover something and less for people looking for something specific. My son loved it here and his eyes were popping out of his head, so much cool toys and pop culture stuff it overloads your senses and there are things to see everywhere you look. They also buy/sell/trade so good place to get rid of your old stuff from the garage.

A snippet of one pile of many piles of stacks on stacks of figurines. They have a LOT of stuff!

Hidden treasures galore! I love to browse this store when I'm in the area. Plus it's a great "strolling" street since all the shops are on one side. Any time I'm stumped on a present for the husband, I'll make the trip here and find SOMETHING amazing.

Vintage toys and eclectic items are guaranteed to be found here. The pricing on most items are also reasonable. Last time I brought my partner with me, he was obsessing over the old records they had for sale. He purchased a Batman themed one for only $9.99. Although, there are a lot of items without a price tag. You will have to ask the cashier about this, but the workers are friendly. They are not shy about striking up a conversation with you. The place is also rather messy. Items are laid out everywhere, and you will need to take your time to go through them all. Luckily, most items tend to be bunched together. For example, if you find a pin then it will be grouped together with other pins. Although, plushies and figures were mainly scattered about. Overall, it is always a pleasant experience here. I enjoy collecting figures and pins so this place is a must-stop when in Niles. In comparison to the other antique stores at Niles, this one always stands out to me since it focuses more on toys and other collectible goods. It is a refreshing change of scenery from the usual antique shops that cater to vintage furniture.

Accept debit/credit cards. In a nutshell I would describe this place as a "man's cave" Figurines, posters, action dolls, antiques, toys galore, etc. If you're in the area, I suggest you check this place out! The owner is super nice and friendly, he's always willing to accept offers which is pretty awesome! =)

Awesome shop for browsing. Friendly service. I scored some sweet Hawaiian shirts for five bucks a pop.

Super fun Vintage Toys. Not a thrift store, so don't expect cheap items. Very cool place to explore.

This the kind of place guys who are not into antiques but like to go out with their wives who do like antiques needed in Niles.

I wear layered clothing or leggings and a slim fitting top. The store is well organized and sections are clearly marked. As with many thrift stores there are different colors marked down every day please listen for the announcements or check the board. I would recommend grabbing a cart because last time I went I found quite a bit and was carrying around my treasures. As with thrifting you never know what you are going to discover. The last time I went I came out with two fantastic finds one a H&M black cotton dress suitable for work wear and take you straight into evening or happy hour. The ruffle tiered dress I admit I paid more than I wanted to but Google came to the rescue and I saw several original retail prices and I found it over $ 100.00 brand new so I decided to splurge and purchase the dress. Service I can't comment on because I usually don't ask for help and there is self checkout available. But I don't know if my last encounter with customer service I should be flattered or insulted. I was checking out my items and the lady that was working at the front thought I was stealing my OWN jacket that I came in wearing! I said this jacket is mine check the cameras I was wearing it when I came in here! All in all a great thrift store but give yourself time because there is so much to look at. I find if I give myself time I find more treasures rather than just rushing through. Also, keep your finds close at hand with the case of the orange ruffle dress after people saw me put it on they were asking if I was going to purchase it while I was trying it on! There were people definitely waiting for me to put it down. Good Luck and Happy thrifting

By then, many of the best items have already been picked over, which makes it really difficult to shop. I enjoy shopping here and understand that opening times can sometimes change, but I would really appreciate it if the information given over the phone matched the actual opening time. Accurate hours would help customers plan their visits and have a fair chance at finding good items.

When I called back to express my frustration, she insisted she wasn't rude and claimed she was busy with other customers--as if I wasn't one--and then hung up on me again. In this case, it hardly warrants a 1-star review to say the least. I have bought items there before & never have encountered such rude & abrasive behavior as I recently did with her. I must say that I've only dealt with the gentleman there & not this woman named Paula, who clearly pointed out that "SHE" owned the store & not her husband. So brash & unfriendly was she, that when I simply approached the counter & politely inquired "what the best price" was on a particular item, she went into hysterics. She needs to chill. I was chastised & scolded about how she had to pay the rent & couldn't discount anything, despite items just to my left posted at 15% off!! I was looking for $30 off on a $150 piece. Trust me, I'll NEVER go back or refer anyone to "Paula's Grandtiques" that just so happens to have "SALE" signs posted outside. Crazy!!!!
