I sent the work and expected a speedy quote to follow. I waited for a week, and had to call the them to find out what was going on. I was first told "we're waiting for the digitizer to get back to us" which is fine I guess, but some notice of this delay would have been great. A few more days pass and still no word. Finally I send an email to Kat and she responds with "MY DIGITIZER IS NOT WILLING TO MAKE THE TAPE UNCOMFORTABLE WITH THE SAYINGS SO WE WILL HAVE TO PASS" I wanted to use a military phrase that includes the word "fucked". So I do understand that could be offensive to some. No biggie. My problem is the 2 weeks I had to wait to receive that information. And how I probably would have never heard back from them if I hadn't reached out to them in the first place. That is extremely unprofessional. I don't appreciate the run around just to get denied service. She knew she would not be able to do the work as soon as she saw the art. Because of this I would never do business with this company. Even if it were something without profanity.

Yesterday, I was happy to see they were open again, so I bought a purse for my young teen daughter, who loved most of the items in the shop, as did I. Everything they sell, apart from the paintings covering the walls, is hand crafted in Mexico, and they offer unusual, beautiful jewelry, purses, tote bags, clothing, and other items. (The colorful, compelling paintings are by the owner's mother and grandmother--pretty cool!) The boutique is tiny, wedged between the Sapore Messo Italian food store and the Salon Du Monde beauty salon on Niles Blvd. The young woman who owns the shop is very friendly, and you can truly find unique items for gifts, etc. I would have spent a lot longer checking out the items on offer, but my young sons were waiting outside and wanted to get home, so I had to cut our visit short. Incidentally, if you are worried about the virus, the employees when I shopped were wearing masks, and they had the door wide open to allow fresh air in. Since huge corporations like Target and Costco have been allowed to remain open this entire time, I am delighted that some smaller businesses in addition to restaurants are finally being allowed the same opportunity. I definitely will be returning to Luna Blu soon!

I brought my friend here for her birthday and we just spent 3 hours painting, listening to music and chatting. We visited on a Sunday and it was quiet/peaceful, not too crowded. NO STUDIO FEES, so all you are paying is the price listed on the pottery itself. The store has a good amount of tables for parties of 2-4. And also 2 rooms dedicated for birthday or corporate parties. There's also 1 restroom onsite. As well as a separate sink outside the restroom to wash your hands when needed. They have a small selection of snacks and drinks for purchase, but still a nice option. It's a clean environment and the young staff are very friendly. Music is often playing in the background while you concentrate on your painting. My only recommendation for improvement is to provide a more sturdy plate or tray for the paint. Currently customers just squirt the paint on a card stock paper (similar to the size of a large index card) and are supposed to take that back to the table for painting pottery. It would feel much more secure and sturdy to carry with an actual tray or paper plate for the paint. I also felt like the paint was dripping off the edges of the paper since there was no lip and paint colors kept merging together since the paper index card wasn't laying flat. They also could have offered a few more paint color options. All in all, it was a great experience and so nice to have a crafty activity close to home. Pottery is usually ready for pick up within 1 week. Candles are ready to be taken home same-day.

Not many people came here when I visited but probably because it's during a Monday rush hour I guess. There's not much that they seem to sell here but to be fair, they just opened last year. They might expand in a few years if their business is going well. If you're shopping for video games, then this isn't really a right shop since most of the products are cards and other card related products. I don't play card games, but this is really good if people are into this hobby. They also have tabletop gaming where there are several tables and seats probably where visitors can play cards? Not really familiar with how it works but I've been going to other stores like this and there would be groups of people playing cards together in those tables. Yet, not many people when I visited since it's Monday today.

This review is for their balloon bar and delivery service (they use DoorDash). I had the pleasure…read moreof speaking with Monica when I called a couple days in advance to confirm an online balloon order for delivery. She was super helpful and friendly. The overall experience was great! There were some reviews complaining that the balloons would deflate after just a few hours and I was a bit concerned, but the balloons held up pretty well and actually held up for a whole week. To be honest, we didn't need it to hold up that long, as long as it was inflated for the duration of the party, that's all that matters! In terms of the value, for what it's worth, with ordering ahead and being delivered straight to you, I thought it was a great deal! I received some quotes from balloon vendors for the exact same bundle and it was 4xs the price, so Michael's balloon bar worked out just fine for us. Just a couple things to keep in mind: we ordered 4 separate bundles and all 4 were completely tangled together when we received it. Luckily, our amazing friend was able to help quickly untangle them. Not sure how this could have been prevented, but just a heads up in case you need ample time to untangle before your event! Also, when ordering ahead, you have to pick a delivery time window instead of an exact time- this means the balloons can come earlier than expected or at the tail end of the time window. You can try to call and coordinate with the store, which is what I did, but still received it earlier than requested, which was OK. Earlier is better than late in my opinion. Hope this helps! If you need basic helium balloons for an event- I'd totally recommend giving their balloon bar a try. I'd personally place an order again in the future.
