One of those places you have to walk through and look at everything, or else you might miss out that "one of a kind" deal. Friendly folks welcomed us when we came in, didn't hover while we browsed. I always walk away with something when I thrift here and this time around I found a lot of small goodies: stuff for my mom for Mother's Day, my anniversary, and things for myself~ It was a great thrift day! Also shoutout to Shawna! I enjoyed our conversation and shared passion for thrifting. And thank you Dinette & Lina for your help as well! He was so detailed and informative along the purchase, sending me detailed photographs and even arranged the pick up with U-Ship. Next time I take a trip from California through Texas I'm definitely stopping to meet these folks thank them for all of their great service and help! I have a set of two vintage…read moremod Milo Baughman Cantilevered sled chairs for Directional with ottoman in immaculate condition, redone with bright heavy chrome frames and grey shorn velvet ...I'll include a pic. I sent an inquiry to A&A and received a very enthusiastic reply saying my chairs were great and as soon as I agreed , she would send over the consignment form. Pretty standard. 50/50 split, but if she sells them online she charges you the consignor another $100 fee. But oh and you have to deliver the pieces to them. They have no delivery or pickup infrastructure in place. What kind of furniture store doesn't deliver ??? I explained in email that my chairs will not fit in either of our vehicles ( and I will not crush them in to make them fit ) and I got ... crickets. No further replies. This store wants no hassles , just bring them the stuff, then they rob you of half the value plus and then make the buyers pick up! Crazy. Plus the quality of items they sell is questionable at best. See a photo of these formica hexagon tables that are chipped dirty and frankly look sourced from a thrift store. So given that they want nothing to do with handling their stock ( my stock essentially ) why would I entrust my chairs to them? Since writing this Erin has sent two emails to get me to change my review.

Mecox fits the bill! They are pricey but I dare you to find any of their inventory anywhere else. Everything is unique and of high quality. I love the idea that the items we bought are rare and won't be seen in every transitional DFW home. Furthermore, the "Cheers" atmosphere is unmatched in the area. David is one of the most talented and genuine human beings in retail. All the staff is truly wonderful, however, I feel like I not only found a great place to shop but also a friend in him. He makes spending $2k on a lamp or $3500 on a chair feel good! Lol. You will never regret your purchase here-they even have a 24 hr try period where you can use your credit card to reserve a piece, take it home, make sure it suits the room, and decide if you want to keep it or return it. We will always start here for any future decor or furniture needs!
