Another great visit at AOH! On a Saturday night this place was quite busy. I find the downstairs area to be a slightly better atmosphere than the upstairs personally, although once the weather is nicer having that outdoor space upstairs is nice. Trying to order at the packed bar was a bit difficult but still pretty quick. I was also glad that I was able to get a smaller sized beer since I wasn't in the mood to drink very much. I assume you could get a few of the smaller sized beers to make a flight as well. Tasty sour beers per usually, and we were given small samples to try before having to make a decision. read more

This has to be my new favorite place. The ambiance is amazing and service was attentive. It's a great place to meet up with one person or even a small group. The happy hour during the week is a great deal, too. It was only $5 for drafts, and it was a great selection. They don't serve food, but there are snacks and sometimes a food truck apparently. I was hesitant to try this place originally because it's new, so will be crowded and hipster. Shows you how wrong I can be. I have been three times now. It's so large that even when it's busy it's not overly loud and doesn't seem anxiety inducing crowded. In fact the vibe and atmosphere is relaxed. I am 55 so sometimes these places can make me feel old. Sometimes the staff at these places treat you, well differently. Coming from a long career in the bar business this has always bothered me. So it's a treat when it's not the case. It's not the case here. I've always felt super welcome here. I recommend to all of my friends and it's my go to place to bring out of town guests now. read more

Very cool bar. We really liked the vibes. There is a fireplace with couches in front of it near the door. There is additional seating upstairs and kind of an outdoor balcony patio (no smoking!) Upstairs was brighter and more well lit than downstairs. All of their draft beers are sours. I like sours, so this was pleasant. I had a refreshing cocktail as well. One of my top three favorite cocktail bars in the city, hands down. Vibe is always great, the patio (while small) is a good time, and the rooftop adds a ton as well. If you're not much of a sour beer fan (which is the main attraction here), the cocktail list was built with help from the former bar head of Curio (RIP), and is a great blend of tiki-inspired and modern riffs on 60's and 70's drinks, in keeping with the psuedo 70's-with-a-midcentury-danish decor and branding. I had to check the new hip bar after hearing so many good things and I'm glad I did. This is definitely a welcome addition to the brewery district . It's a little tricky to find because it blends into the other store and restaurant fronts but once you find it, this place is just a gem. There are 2 levels to the bar. First floor is dark but cozy with a bar, large booths and shared picnic tables. The upstairs has a wood finish reminiscent of a backyard patio and some plants. It can be opened up when it's warm to enjoy some fresh air. It's a bit like an enclosed patio or 4 seasons room that you can open up when it's nice outside. The drinks are tasty and creative and the bartenders are great. I have had 2 good experiences here and will come back for more. read more

I've only been in the early afternoon, but at that time whenever I've gone here's what I've loved: 1) kid friendly, check! 2) allows dogs on the patio, check! 3) phenomenal, is not appropriately pricey drinks, check!, 4) great food trucks out back, check! Truly one of my all-time favorites in Columbus for several reasons. The location is 10/10- it's secluded enough from other businesses that it's never crazy crowded. The rooftop area is spectacular and a huge plus because it adds additional space and creates an ambience that only rooftop areas are capable of. The drinks are reasonably priced and the selection is impressive. Cocktails are incredible and IPA lovers will be right at home with some Columbus classics. Highly recommend ordering some grub from rotating food truck- 2 Phat Indians is a crowd favorite and will not disappoint. All in all, this is a great place for date night, catching up with friends, and happy hour with the coworkers. read more

The staff here is amazing! I happened to be in the area so I stopped by, as I was parallel parking there was a little boy trying to run across the street I stopped him and he was parentless! They claim to have been in antiques on high. We walked in together and the bartenders and other staff jumped to helping him find his parents. They called all the local bars around and finally found the parents, they waited with him until they arrived and reunited with the family. As a lover of sour beers, this place was right up my alley! They had a decent selection of barrel-aged sours to choose from. There was also a cocktail menu. The vibe is relaxed with low lighting and trendy decor. The night I visited it was pouring rain but I heard there is a very cool rooftop patio with some seating. The parking is a bit limited(street parking mostly) so I'd recommend Uber/Lyft which is probably a good idea anyway. I was able to find a place in the back alley behind AoH. Antiques On High is a welcome addition to the Columbus brewery scene! I had high expectations for this sister-project of Seventh Son and my expectations were met. The brewery is cozy with a fireplace, long wood tables int he middle, booths that can fit 6 people, and a bar. It is quite dark so I choose a spot at one of the wood tables under a light. Upstairs is what appears to be an all-seasons room? It has more lighting and a patio, but was a little chilly and damp considering the December weather. Bonus points for having an elevator. Onto the beer... as a self-proclaimed 'wild and sour' brewery, I was concerned they would be pigeonholed into the 'very sour' beers. I am happy to report that I was wrong. They have a draft list of 11 beers, ranging from mild to highly sour beers, an IPA that tastes like a Seventh Son recipe, a pale ale, and two Seventh Son classics. The beer descriptions of mildly sour, moderately sour, and highly sour are very helpful. We enjoyed the Hoop Driver (mildly sour red ale), Saddle Lamp (mildly sour dark ale), Trinket (mildly sour saison), Crushed Velvet (highly sour red ale), and the Tumbling Dice (Citra pale ale). If you want to try a non-sour, we recommend starting with those before venturing to even the mild sours. The IPA did not stand a chance against the sours. They have 5 oz pours to create your own flight - this is my preferred method to sample sours because I have a difficult time drinking an 11 oz pour. We loved the Hoop Driver, Saddle Lamp, and Trinket (apparently we are mild to moderate sour drinkers). The cocktail list looked amazing and I would consider trying one next time. I like that there is a wine and cocktail menu in addition to some traditional beers to cater to anyone's preferences. The best part - Dos Hermanos food truck was out front on a Saturday evening. I hope they will eventually have a regular food truck schedule or at least post the truck on social media. read more

I am a sour beer lover and this place has so many options to satisfy my cravings. AOH is perfect for dates and casual hangouts. A sister company to Seventh Son Brewing, Antiques focuses on offering a wide range of drinks for all audiences. They have lots of sour beers they make themselves which rotate, as well as a handful of other unique brews. They also carry select seventh son drinks which saves us a drive across town when we're craving an assistant manager beer. They have food trucks out back regularly which is an awesome way to try two local spots at once! I love their rooftop atmosphere, which is light and airy, but also love the cozy vibes the downstairs offers. We came here to have a quick drink while we were on a night out with friends on a Friday night. What place was great really good Vive, atmosphere was lively. the staff is really friendly and gave us some recommendations on different cocktails and drinks. They specialize in sour beers. If you are looking for a variety of sour beers this is your spot. They are great tasting and we'll definitely take your taste buds and palate on an adventure. I tried four different types of sour beers which surprisingly they are all barrel aged and was not disappointed with any of them. The other thing that I'm not crazy about is I felt kind of "forced" to a table but there is not any wait staff/table service. My partner and I met up with coworkers at Antiques on High, and it was our first visit. It was fantastic! Although it's a brewery, we had to try cocktails first because the menu looked so good. We both LOVED our cocktails, and then moved onto a sour flight. There's a wide variety of flavors in the decently sized selection of sours (and smaller selection of non-sours) that they offer! The service was great too. I was really surprised by the change in ambiance between the first and second floors, but both are beautiful spaces! We'll definitely be back. My only complaint is that they don't actually sell antiques... now THAT would be the perfect niche bar for me! read more
