As you walk in you'll likely be greeted by the front counter associate or any of them making their way around to clean, or even just having a quick chat with some of the regulars. The food was sooo delish! They have a daily special that allows you one meat choice, and two sides. Which only comes out to a little less than $11.00. The place is beautifully decorated, and the servers are kind, but the food does not meet the expectations you would have, especially if you are familiar with authentic Colombian food. We ordered empanadas as an appetizer, and they arrived cold, as if they had been made the day before. On top of that, the ají is not the traditional Colombian kind, so the experience was disappointing from the start. The ajiaco, which should be one of the most representative dishes, tasted more like a bland potato soup with no chicken flavor and nothing memorable about it. They do not even serve it with cream, which makes it feel even less authentic and less flavorful. You can also feel a change in the atmosphere when the manager or owner arrives. The treatment toward Hispanic customers feels somewhat dismissive, while it seems different with Americans. For example, a group of Americans picked up their plates and she told them they did not have to do that, but when I did the same, that courtesy was forgotten. Overall, it is a visually pleasant place and the waitresses provide good service, but for someone from Colombia, the food does not live up to many expectations.

This place needs an updated review, so here I am!…read more Service, amazing. Food, great. I got the mini bandeja paisa, my wife got some chicken cutlet with plantains and my baby girl got the cheeseburger with fries. They had 2 different sauces; one's some mayo type sauce and the other, their home made jalapeno sauce. That jalapeno sauce was some of the best sauces, period, that I've ever had - it had a nice kick, but not too spicy, a hint of sweetness, but more tangy and flavorful... So good that we bought their big bottle ($15). 2 days later and we are halfway done. :( My baby girl was making a huge mess with her PEZ candy and they were dropping all over, but the lady who took care of us, was extremely patient and understood our frustration. She was graceful towards us! Everywhere I look, and I don't mean to offend anyone but, too many "American" restaurants that serve the same or very similar dishes and there isn't much around that offers distinctive cuisine, but this place is different and I was glad that we ended going there, especially after going to a very disappointing restaurant the night before. If y'all read this, go check this place out and make sure to try out their jalapeno sauce!

We had never been there before and we wanted to try their Colombian cuisine. We were greeted by one of the owners as we entered. We found out that it is a family owned business. We knew that they had not received their liquor license and brought a bottle of wine. We are amazed by the number of choices on the menu. I had the red snapper meal. Normally it is fried. I asked if it could be steamed and the owner said, "Of course". My wife ordered the country platter which comes in three sizes. She ordered the small one and was stuffed. I took some of my meal home. Later the other owner came to the table to visit. Both the husband and wife are so friendly. We will continue to patronize Los Arrieros Restaurant! Next time we go for lunch. Very affordable!!!

This is a great place with authentic cuisine. We started with the chicken Empanadas which were crispy on the outside and full of delicious flavors on the inside. I'm sorry we didn't try the beef and cheese ones...maybe next time. The seafood paella was full of shrimp, octopus, mussels and chorizo over seasoned rice with fried onions, red peppers and peas. The chorizo was so good I got a few to take home. The ropa vieja was beef which was slow cooked to the point of falling apart and melting in your mouth with potatoes and a side of rice. There were three in my party and we all had at least seconds and still had some leftovers. Very enjoyment meal and would recommend.

Man, I could eat at this place every week and be a happy camper! The food was sooo flavorful and delicious. Every item on our plates was cooked well and seasoned to perfection. Despite not speaking the same language, we were able to communicate our needs and received good and friendly service from our waitress. The other diners all seem to be enjoying their meals. And, our portions were big enough to enjoy the deliciousness at another meal. Would return without hesitation!

Im so full i'm ready for a nap but before i sleep this off let's break it down The restaurant dining area is on the smaller side but big enough for the family and friends. it's in a small plaza with limited parking but is accessible for everyone! note that some of the staff do not speak fluent english but that shouldn't hinder you from ordering their delicious food! The inside is well kept and beautiful giving off colombian homey vibes, the seating is comfy and their menus are tablets with pictures of their dishes which was unique to me. i went with my gf and her mother and this is what we ate! i had the Chicken with Mushroom sauce which was short of pure perfection the sauce was loaded with flavor and complimented the chicken and white rice very well. the mushrooms were sautéed very well i honestly can't stop thinking about it. my gf had the cazuela las delicias and she simply said she liked it. her mother had the bendeja paisa plate and she enjoyed it saying how much she loves this restaurant. The food was amazing and i can't wait to go back! Service was fast and the food came out very fast! excellent all around!

My craving fof Colombian needed to be satisfied so how lucky that there was another place. One, it's a bit more expensive than what Im used to. Two, the food was cold quickly. The bandeja was alright but mostly rice, they give such a big container you think you're getting more but its mostly rice. The carne lacked flavor which is my favorite part so i was most disappointed about that. Everything else was good just nothing amazing. Can't comment on service or ambiance since it was takeout. The empanadas were at least very good, no regrets on those. Overall alright, but could definitely be improved.
