Service was wonderful. Food was OK. I had ordered the flounder however they were out of flounder so they offered me cod. The cod had very little flavor and the vegetables that came with It was very mushy, way overdone. This was a disappointment to spend $32 on a dish that was not worth the price. read more

Broiled fish is done well, vegetables on the side were good, and the creme brûlée and bread was terrific. However, the beef stroganoff tasted like the meat was steamed and there was no beef flavor in the sauce whatsoever. One bite of the meat and a few fettuccine noodles, and the rest went back. And no, no thanks on a box (and no one asked why... they did get busy). The onion soup looked good, but the cheese on top didn't seem like gruyere or even Swiss as a substitute, and the broth was bland 'beef light'. It did not have that deep beefy onion with a little bit of red wine taste you expect. I ate the cheese off the top and that was it... the rest went back, and again, no one asked why. Overall, the staff is very nice, and I'd recommend the broiled fish, but the other food I ordered, no thanks. Over $100 and I didn't really eat. Bummed. read more

My fiancé and I came to Meraki Manor restaurant, knowing that we did not have a reservation because they were booked up last Saturday but hoping to get a seat at the bar. I called for a reservation, they very politely let me know that they were all full, but the bar was first come first serve. I then got a couple other periodic texts throughout the early evening, letting me know that there were still seats available. That was so nice and very appreciated. When we arrived, the bartender was quick to recognize us and get a first round of drinks going. My fiancé had really tasty French martini and I had a Woodford old-fashioned also very good. We were given menus and told that they would put bread in the oven for us. Very nice personal touch. The menu was fantastic. I could go back 20 times and never hit the same thing. We passed on appetizers, and thank God we did because our meals were huge portions and so good. However, the appetizers on the menu sounded great and the ones we saw come out looked incredible. When it came time to order, in addition to the menu, there were several specials that sounded great, including a surf and turf with lobster tail, and even twin lobster tails if you prefer. My fiancé went with an encrusted flounder and I chose the fillet with mushrooms and onions. All I can say about the food is that it was amazing. From the bread and salads, through the entrée, everything was perfect. Service was great, food was great, drinks were tasty. I honestly can't wait to go back. What a great find.!!! read more

First time there tonight. Great experience! A bit noisy, but it was because the patrons were comfortable and having a good time. I had the veal parmesan. It was delicious. The portion was huge. It came with a Caesar salad and the dressing was the best ever! My husband had the Mediterranean chicken salad and that, too was delicious and the portion huge! We have been here multiple times over the past few years especially during their prime rib weekend. Their Prime Rib is worthy of a standing ovation. The prime rib is so tender it practically melts, with a crust that's a seasoning triumph, served with an au jus that is almost gravy like. read more

We thought to try this for our Valentine's Day date night and we made an excellent choice! The building's interior decor is cute, homey, and yet classy. The service and everyone we interacted with was super friendly, knowledgeable, and entertaining. We wanted recommendations from our waitress and she made excellent suggestions. Plenty of food! I had the French onion soup because I've been craving it for quite some time, and this was superbly excellent! We also tried the stuffed mushrooms and they were STUFFED! Every entree also comes with a salad but I didn't want to indulge too much because I was awaiting the good stuff! I had the stuffed flounder & my husband had the filet mignon. His steak was cooked perfectly (medium) and my flounder was huge!!! Everything was so delicious. We even decided to take dessert home with us because while we couldn't possibly stuff ourselves anymore at that moment, we wanted to indulge in their homemade sweets. Also delicious. The price was nothing outrageous; in fact we were surprised it didn't cost more with the big portions, and the quality of everything. All of the food is made to order so it did take a little while, but we didn't even notice with how perfectly timed our app, soups, salads, and eventually main course was delivered. We will be back! Had a reservation and were seated promptly and ordered cocktails and our meals. Nice seasonal cocktail menu and they arrived quickly along with our soups and salads. That's when the delays happened. Waited roughly 45 minutes for our food, but the note on the menu warned us to be patient because everything is made to order. We passed the time with lively conversation in our group. My meal: oysters were very large and oversized and heavily breaded. The best looking (and tastings I suspect) meals were the broiled fish. Make your reservation well in advance. Ladies bathroom was freezing cold, they need to add a space heater or get the old radiator on the wall fixed. read more

A little tough to get a reservation, but partner made the call Thursday evening and we were there Friday. We were seated at one of the three hightops in the bar area. There is a deck also. A large friendly black dog appeared to have free run and was well known to the regulars at the bar. Warm bread with butter arrive with water glasses. Ordered our entrees off the typical menu. Our dinner was delicious. The place itself is rustic and has a very warm feel. Great service and the owner was very welcoming. My son has a fish and seafood allergy and the owner came over to find out more about his allergies. She then explained which dishes are cooked separately and safe for my son to eat. This is a hard review to write, I would like to give them 5 stars---but I have to go with 4. That "withholding" has nothing to do with the food---it was wonderful! I had the seafood chowder---and had I known what to expect I would have ordered a bowl (or more). It was a fabulous cream-based chowder, garnished with a generous mound of lump crabmeat---so good! We had fresh baked bread and butter--without asking. I had a Caesar salad---garnished with six excellent anchovies---what a treat! Everyone was equally happy with their salads. The entrees included veal parm, beef stroganoff, and veal Mediterranean, all were excellent, and the quantity bordered on sinful! To the person (5) everyone raved about their meals. Now, the reason for 4 stars, and I hope this is taken as it is meant as an admiring constructive criticism. There were a few misses that could raise this restaurant to true fine dining: The server (Skyler B) was delightful but not knowledgeable about details of the menu. I fully understand the challenges of hiring workers today, but she would have benefited with training. Our server did the best she could, she needs support to take it to the next level. The water was served un-chilled and without ice. The salad plates were plastic. There was no offer of fresh ground pepper or of freshly grated parmesan. The front of the house needs to lift their performance to match the excellent performance from the kitchen. We will be back. read more

This is fast becoming one of our favorite restaurants in the area! Tucked away about a mile off the Morgantown bypass this hidden gem scores high for its food and excellent service. We were there with friends last night for dinner. I had the prime rib ( a special every third Saturday of the month) done to perfection medium-rare. My wife had the blackened haddock also done to perfection. Our companions had fish and beef stroganoff which they enjoyed immensely. The portions are huge and three of us took home doggy bags. We had to wait a little while for our entrees, but we were amply rewarded when the proprietor offered us free desserts for our wait!! A very nice gesture! I was looking forward to my second visit to Meraki. I ended up disappointed. We waited 1.5 hours for our food to come out. We were not hungry by the time it arrived. We were told we got the last three French onion soups. It ended up being beef broth with no onions. Perhaps it should not have been served if it was the end of the pot. The highlight of our evening was the warm bread. It was an expensive night with value lacking based on the poor service and quality of food. read more

We went there for the first time a few months ago, but just getting around to reviewing now. Sat outside, and it was great. They had a new waitress working, and I think were also short-staffed, and it was just one of those nights where everything went wrong. Despite that, they kept smiling and apologizing and fixed things as quickly as they could. Everything we ate was excellent, and we can't wait to go back. But everything is homemade, my husband had the prime rib (reservation is required and you must call and reserve the prime rib) it was huge and out of this world delicious!!
