After trying this establishment yesterday, at the recommendation of a friend, I had to return today and share it with my oldest daughter. Yesterday I ordered the English breakfast, which was so fresh, delicious, and flavorful that I had to give it a second go! This plate is brimming with absolutely delightful flavors, textures, and colors. I love that it is chock full of protein and less sugary options. The wheat toast was even incredible and one of the best toasts I've ever tasted. Today my daughter had the Banana Foster French toast and cleared her plate in the blink of an eye. When I asked her if she liked it, especially the homemade caramel sauce drizzle she could only give me a thumbs up sign because she was eating it so quickly. The coffee and chai teas were hot, fresh, and flavorful. We both loved our selections and would vote for them over other available coffee/tea establishments. I loved the cinnamon flavor, which again was perfectly balanced without being too sweet or too seasoned. Each of the elements is seasoned to perfection without being overpowering. It is served hot off the grill with a friendly smile. The staff is friendly and attentive without hovering. I truly appreciate and enjoy the pleasant and engaging conversation. The interior is clean, organized, and has such a cozy and welcoming atmosphere. The dining area is on the smaller side; however, it is well maintained and laid out so you don't feel like you are crowded with other patrons. I highly recommend giving this place a go. I look forward to returning again in the not too distant future to try some other options of their delectable menu. (And I will certainly suggest this as an option for future business and mentorship meetings as the table seating provides for intimate conversations without competing with loud music and other din or awkwardly projecting your voice across long tables. (If you do decide to give it a try, it can be a bit tricky to locate. (I got lost in the inter connected parking lots on my first visit because I missed the first left turn in the maze of lots off of the main road. ) I highly recommend you try it and I'd love to hear what your take is... Gourmand makes delicious sandwiches, burgers, and specialty fries. If you get a sandwich or burger, it comes with a side of their homemade pretzels. The portion size is great, as you can see in the photos, the sandwiches are huge. The quality and presentation of the food is also worth noting. The workers are very friendly--good service! Hours on the website were wrong. Came here for Saturday breakfast but restaurant was closed. Posted hours at restaurant were different than website. Emailed the manager, who said social media had announcement about closure for staff training. The restaurant needs to post the same hours across all platforms. The food was tasty, but simple. The menu was quite small if you have a picky eater tagging along. The prices are quite high for the quality and quantity of the food. The environment isn't all that inviting either. Half of the 'dining' area isn't useable and it looks closed. We went in the early afternoon and they didn't have any pastry options available. Apparently they don't last long and people buy them out as soon as they open, I didn't get that as a true feeling. We split a salad and a sandwich. Both were decent, but nothing to rave about. It's been about a month and this lunch is still stuck in my mind as one of the worst meals I've ever had in my life. I ordered the standard burger, cooked medium on the recommendation of the gentleman taking my order. What I received was a rare (and I'm being generous here...it was raw if I'm being honest) glob of strange tasting meat that oozed blood all over the bun, the fries, and the sleeves of my shirt. Literal blood. I'm not trying to be mean, but these people need to learn what the word "medium" means when cooking meat. My stomach turns every time I pass by this place. Just awful. read more
