It is a beautiful, welcoming place with friendly staffs. I loved the French onion soup and the grilled salmon was nicely done. Only drawback was all the dishes were over seasoned for our liking.

We were in Carmel for a girls trip and we asked some locals where we should go for lunch, and they recommended Anton & Michel! It is very cute inside and the food was delicious. The clams were our favorite!

my partner & i came here to celebrate our anniversary and they truly were such amazing staff! we were seated on time as per our reservation. the food was amazing! starting with bread & scallops for appetizers- loved the warm fresh bread and scallops were full of flavor. they tasted fresh, no excessive fishy/seafood taste that you get when something has been out for too long. i asked for my duck to be medium-rare & it came out perfectly. i always worry that duck comes out too dry but i loved the way this plate turned out. presentation was also colorful. the mix of the sweet puree and grapefruits also served as a nice palette reset in between bites of duck. the dish came together very well & i wouldn't hesitate to get it again. the lasagna also had a great overall flavor. the only thing i might note is that it's a bit of a heavier dish, and not much on the plate to cut (in terms of visuals & taste) so it gets a bit dense once you're about halfway through the meal. and since we had told them we were celebrating, they brought out a complimentary slice of cake for dessert which paired very well with the light fluffiness of whipped mousse (?) on the side. our servers were so kind and even went outdoors to take a picture for us, getting different backgrounds & angles. we definitely felt welcomed here and would come again when we're back in carmel!

We had dinner here last night and love the little courtyard ambience. Our server was on top of his game and everyone enjoyed their dinners. We started with the French Onion Soup that was of the best I've had! Lots of cheese topped a savory broth and made the perfect start to our main courses. We had the 20 Layer Lasagna with oxtail bolognase, spinach pasta, and San Marzano tomato sauce plus seventeen more things!!! We also had the Oven- Roasted Half Chicken with garlic confit, baby carrots and Yukon Gold mashed potatoes. Dinner was very good and we will definitely return.

Had the pleasure of having lunch at Anton & Michel and I swear I had flash backs of being in Paris... amazing duck confit and homemade pate... utterly amazing spot. Love the outside patio with a swimming pool... combined with great welcoming service... 10/10.

One of the best dining experiences I have ever had. This past weekend marked the 5th anniversary of my marriage to my wife. In hopes of doing something special, we traveled to Carmel for a weekend. Ahead of travelling, I searched for dining options to make our Saturday night special. Anton & Michel consistently came highly recommended. I was looking for a 3 or 4 dollar sign ($) restaurant, was located in Carmel, had outdoor seating and made food that my wife and I would enjoy. Anton & Michel check marked all of my constraints. I booked a reservation on Open Table, which I highly recommend you do. Not only can you reserve a spot, they specifically ask you if you'd prefer indoor or outdoor seating. Additionally, they ask what, if any, the occasion is. As someone who likes to plan everything down to the last detail, I can't tell you how happy this made me. I didn't have to sweat or let anxiety get the best of me. I knew we would get outdoor seating, guaranteed (we enjoy eating outdoors). They were also the *only* restaurant to inquire about the occasion. That's a very nice touch and made me feel like they truly care about my visit. The food was, how can I put this, amazing. Literally perfect across the board. From the complimentary bread to the appetizers and entrées, we were thoroughly impressed. The ingredients were fresh and the food cooked to perfection. Anton & Michel may be on the pricier side, but it is well deserved. Your taste buds will thank you. The service matched the food- excellent. From the moment we walked in (early), our host was friendly and accommodating. He seated us a few minutes early, outside, just like I wanted. A heat lamp was quickly turned on upon my request as it was starting to get chilly. Our waitress, Sarah (I hope I spelled that right), was top notch. She was friendly, attentive, gracious, welcoming and helpful. She was able to answer our questions quickly and make good suggestions. She is a true professional and reminds me there are still good service individuals in the world. She took a few photos for us, wished us a happy anniversary and even hooked it up on a sweet treat. She was very pleasant to work with and is a good human being. The ambiance was magical. There is ample seating, but the tables are far enough so that you can maintain private conversations. I despise restaurant's that try to squeeze as many tables & chairs possible causing you to be 2 feet away from other patrons. Not here; you'll be able to enjoy your party without the noise from others. The lighting was perfect. We were able to adequetly see but not have an overly bright light dangling over us. The music was just right- a mix of piano and jazz that wasn't too loud and at the perfect volume level. Overall, it was the perfect night. My wife is hard to please (ask me how I know) and she was impressed by the restaurant, the food and the service. I plan on telling everybody about Anton & Michel as well as make it a spot for us anytime we are in the Carmel area. Thank you for a great anniversary dinner.

Charming little restaurant and really good service. We had lunch here and it consisted of the French onion soup which was good, the golden and red beet salad which was very good, and a French dip sandwich which was excellent! Glad we came here.

    Scallop appetizer

We showed up hungry to Anton after having a big failed experience at a different restaurant in Carmel. Z, the owner, got us a table and sat us right away. Our mood quickly changed and we felt happy and well taken care of. The food was DELICIOUS and our server/busser were THE BEST. We had the scallop appetizer and milet mignon. Both cooked to perfection! To finish, we had the creme bulee and chocolate tort which was DEVINE. Definitely recommend this place!

We visited there on the recommendation from a sommelier in Paso Robles based on their excellent sparkling wines. You have choice of ordering a glass of any of the wines or the tasting flight. My partner decided to go with a glass of the Brut Rose whilst I chose the tasting flight (5 wines for $40). All of the wines here are expertly made and of a beautiful style. I can't say there wasn't a wine here that I didn't thoroughly enjoy. The Brut Rose is a beautiful champagne style rose. The Rose of Pinot Noir was also excellent. A fantastic light yet flavorful wine. The chardonnay was also excellent and of a beautiful style with just a touch of oak. Next was their Passetoutgrain, which is a blend of gamay noir and pinot noir. Also in the tasting were two pinot noirs, the base pinot noir and the El Bec. Both were beautiful expressions of pinot noir. Wonderful balance of fruit, earth and spice. Finally, we had to try the Brut Cuvee, which is only offered by the glass. A truly beautiful wine reminiscent of the Champagne region. Service was from a couple of friendly and very knowledgeable attendants. The glassware here is beautiful and perfect for the wine served. The wines were all served at the proper temperature. And the pours were of a generous volume such that you could fully experience the wines. If you're in Carmel, you owe it to yourself to visit Caraccioli.

The tasting room is absolutely wonderful--intimate, cozy, and beautifully designed with a sleek, modern cellar vibe. The striking Perota wood bar, warm ambient lighting, and inviting seating options make you feel right at home while sipping on their elegant sparkling wines and exceptional Pinot Noirs. The staff is knowledgeable, friendly, and passionate, turning every tasting into a memorable experience. Whether you're a bubbly lover or exploring their still wines, the quality shines through with every pour. It's the perfect sophisticated yet relaxed spot right in the heart of downtown Carmel. What truly stood out to us was how generously Caraccioli Cellars supported our Signature Day Spa during our recent ribbon-cutting celebration for the stunning new location in Carmel Plaza. They went above and beyond to help make the event so special and successful--what an amazing community partner! The turnout was incredible, and their involvement added that extra touch of elegance and warmth. Thank you so much, Caraccioli Cellars team! We can't recommend your tasting room highly enough, and we're so grateful for your kindness and support. We'll be back soon for more of those delicious wines--and maybe a spa day paired with a bottle to take home. Cheers! -- Tonya & the Signature Day Spa Team

We went in with pretty high hopes but ended up feeling underwhelmed by the offerings. A lot of the wines tasted watered down, mild, and somewhat similar to one another. This was true for both the reds and the whites. The charcuterie and cheese pairing was also disappointing, especially when compared to Napa, where tastings often feature thoughtfully curated cheeses and meats paired with each wine. That said, the staff were very kind and informative. They explained each wine carefully and in an engaging way, which definitely helped make the experience enjoyable overall. Ultimately, though, the wines themselves were underwhelming and none of them really WOW'd us. That said, I was shocked and disappointed to learn that the tasting room will be closing in March and apparently the Talbot wine production facility on River Road has already been shuttered. All of this is due to the acquisition of the brand by Gallo wines, coupled with a down turn in the wine industry. As a consumer, this really pisses me off. Yet another example of a larger business buying and closing down the competition, thereby taking away another option for the consumer as well as eliminating the experience and enjoyment of a quality wine.
