I have to say, I have read all of the reviews for Antonelli Jewelry and was really surprised that these people had such a difficult and unhappy experience! I did realize that 4 of the posts were about the exact same incident that must have happened back in 2014 or 2015, but that was still an upsetting read! I just went in to Antonelli Jewelry, with whom I have bought several pieces over the years, because I used to live in Butler, and I really had not experienced anything like what these other customers had been through. Two days ago, Friday December 4th, my wife and I went in to look for a ring for our nieces' Sweet 16 birthday, which just happened to be December 4th, and yes we were waiting till the last second to shop for a gift, since the party is today, Sunday December 6th. Allison was a huge help in selecting not only a fantastic ring but also a rare London Blue Topaz, a rare type of Blue Topaz which is our nieces' birthstone, gem that fit the ring and was an amazing color and quality! Allison was so nice and helpful and was able to have the gem set, the ring resized almost 3 and a half sizes larger in 14K white gold, and was able to have it ready for pickup on Saturday December 5th at noon! She also gave us one heck of a deal, and barely charged us anything for the resize, especially since it was a lot of white gold to add. She then gave us a wonderful package and birthday wrap. I had such a great experience that I bought 2 more gemstones from her when I picked up the ring, and placed an order for another specialty item that she had tracked down by Sunday the 6th! I love this place, and am sorry that anyone had a bad experience, but would like to remind everyone that Antonelli Jewelry are humans and we all know humans make mistakes, and don't let a horrible day that someone has had, steer the course away from a family business that has been in Butler for 25-years!!! read more

Truthfully not sure how this family owned business lasted that long when this is how they treat customers. My fiance finally settled down to have Antonelli set the family heirloom diamond onto a new ring and also purchased a wedding band from them. Unfortunately the rings did not fit. He called Allison regarding the adjustments. She told him to leave the rings and he told her he would much rather have them adjusted in front of him. She instantly got defensive and stated she was SO UPSET AND OFFENDED that he didn't trust her. Not wanting to leave a priceless heirloom is completely understandable. Allison should know that better than anyone else... especially when she claims to be in this business for over 35 years. She went ahead and texted my fiance the contact for her ring setter. Then she accidentally texted my fiance instead of her partner that he was a MOTHERF***** for not trusting her!! My fiance asked her why she would call him that... Allison had the audacity to not apologize, instead went off on a tangent that he was wrong to not trust her instead of addressing the real issue here - calling a customer who just gave you business, a motherf*****. I had a diamond inherited from my recently deceased grandmother and wanted to put it in a setting. I shopped around at a few places and I decided to go with Antonelli Jewlery. I was happy with the rings (engagement + wedding band). Please note they dont do any metal work in the store. They are strictly a retailer. That is something she failed to mention until the tab was paid. I popped the question and she said yes! Unfortunately the ring was too big on my fiancee so I called Allison and asked if she can help me resize the ring. She told me to drop it off and pick up around 2 hours later. I said I don't want to leave the ring alone, as this is just a cautionary measure to assure nothing happens to the ring. She scoffed and told me it's better I just go to the metal worker without her. She followed up with saying "she's really upset and offended I don't trust her". I simply said don't take it personally, this is a family heirloom that money can't buy. She said shell reach out to the guy she goes for metal work and get back to me. I also asked if the cost of resizing is covered since I purchased ring there. She said No I'd have to pay since I didn't get it stock size 7, I got it in size 5.5 instead so she won't cover the resizing cost. Three hours later I didn't get a call back, so I called her again and requested for the number to contact the metal worker myself. She sent me the number and accidentally also sent me a text who was meant for Tom, the metal worker, calling me a mother f***er. The conversation screenshot posted on this yelp page is a text from the owner, Allison. She repeatedly told me how upset she is that I wouldn't trust her, even after I asked her why she called me a Mother Fer. No true apology was given either. I wanted to give a Mom and Pop shop business instead of a major retailer. I also defended the shop when my fiancee read the other negative reviews on Yelp. Best to avoid this place. Crooks. I asked for a repair, which they sent out to the "diamond guy" which should have been my warning. The repair failed in days, diamond got lost, then they sold me a discount diamond, repaired again, broke again, lost again, refused to help further. I overheard the owner talking bad about customers first hand. This place belongs to evil people. I don't understand how they are still in business and agree with the other 1 star review. Stay away. I went in to the jewelers to have an 18K gold turquoise ring sized & I spoke with Allison Antonelli, the owner. I had specifically spoken with Allison because I was worried that when the ring was going to be resized it would crack. She assured me that the ring would not crack, as she had used the same jeweler in NYC for 20 years and had previously worked with turquoise. I was quoted $65.00, but when my husband went in to pick up the ring, he was charged $70.00 + tax. Additionally, he noticed the stone was now cracked from side to side & pointed out the crack to Allison. She said the ring was like that when she received it and stated that she had pictures on her phone (I had previous photos no cracks.). Clearly, the ring was not cracked when I brought it in or I would not have been concerned about it cracking. When my husband gave me the ring, I immediately called and spoke with Allison. I told her I looked at the ring under my loupe, and not only could I see a crack, I could also see where the jeweler GLUED IT! Additionally, the bottom of the ring where it was sized was JAGGED and uneven, I've never seen such sloppy work. She explained to me how she waited at the jewelers in NYC the entire time and watched the repair. She then tried telling me it was probably a solvent that was used to prevent cracking and not glue, which we both knew was not the case. Finally, she admitted that the ring cracked while under her care and she would reimburse me, or replace the stone. I told her I would think about the two options overnight, and call her the next day. I called her repeatedly during store hours, left 3 messages (on 3 separate days) and never heard back from Allison. At best, she is dishonest and unprofessional. My hope is to prevent someone else from having his or her jewelry ruined by Antonelli Jewelry. read more

I can't believe the audacity of these people. Took two pieces of jewelry to sell (gold) and gave us a price of 250 $. Thankfully knew better. Took them to another jeweler right across the street who offered us 850. DO NOT Trust these people. Total crooks!! Should actually be investigated. read more
