Not really sure how this works but I had watches repaired at Michael's Jewelers with the original…read moreowner and never had any problems. I recently had a clasp replaced on a gold neckless. I was given the clasp back because they said it was valuable. They then asked if they could keep it to get the proper replacement. They called me with a price of $70. I picked it up and paid, but when i returned home the original gold clasp was not there. I called and they said they kept the orininal piece as a part of the payment. Is this a common practice? It was a good size piece of gold and the replacement was $70 for the exact same thing. Not Happy about this outcome. Don't know what to do next.

I am lucky that I noticed the bracelet fall off, as well as the family heirloom necklace. So disappointed. And the prices were steep(but gold prices are high so I kind of expected that. We instantly purchased our hutch on our first visit, they marked it SOLD here and on Marketplace then we agreed to pick up the piece a week later after returning from vacation. During our 2nd visit here, we met Barb and her husband Bill who are truly pleasant folks- plus, Bill and someone else helped my husband load up the hutch into our U-Haul. Thank you! I mainly shopped at the store in Stroudsburg out of the 4 locations that I knew of. Stroudsburg, Stroud Mall, Tannersville, and last Brodheadsville. I was trying to sell a ring that I purchased from the Stroudsburg location. I was eventually told to try the Brodheadsville location. I took the ring there. I didn't check with them for a while, waiting for a call. However, one day I drove up to the store and store was empty. I tried to call and the phone rang of the hook. I went back Tannersville, Stroudsburg as well, they all closed down. I was shock! No forwarding address or phone number. I was surprisingly disappointed. I use to take pictures in Sammy's upstairs gallery, with all the vintage ships, art work, Greek sculptures, etc... I'm sure Sammy wasn't aware of the transaction that accrued.
