    Calamari
    Dana S.

We got takeout, so I can't say much about the atmosphere and service (other than our food was ready at the promised time), but I was pretty happy with the food. The calamari was fried to perfection, but I thought it was excessively salty. I liked that it came with a tangy aioli(?) in addition to the classic marinara. I really enjoyed the veggie amore flatbread - hard to go wrong with the veggies and balsamic combo. I have a problem with lots of restaurant pizza/flatbreads being greasy but this was surprisingly grease-free! I was also really happy that they had Italian cream soda! Everything was priced quite well. I would love to go back someday for a dine-in experience!

    Meat and cheese board

The food was AMAZING!!! we had the meat and cheese board for a appetizer and the braised beef ragu with homemade pasta for our entree. I was very impressed! The service was great. I asked to speak to the chef, and she was very pleasant and was genuinely happy that we enjoyed our meals. If you go save room for gelato because it's delicious. It was a great experience. I will be visiting there weekly now

Food was excellent but limited menu. Disappointed they are not more decorated for holidays in 3 weeks. Kind of lacking....

Had a reservation on Friday for graduation weekend. They were very accomodating in seating us an hour earlier than our allotted res. Looks like a hidden gem; the restaurant sits on a corner in an empty area in Endicott. The bread was simply amazing, super fresh and soft. The spinach artichoke dip was also extremely fresh made in house. The bacon wrapped scallops were too salty to my liking, but was a special that day during happy hour. This review earns two stars due to lack of taste in the entrees and the service. All of our entrees were extremely bland. The tortellinis tasted like they were from the freezer aisle and the risotto was basically watered down rice. The presentation was also terrible; who puts full lemon wedges into a dish? I had somewhat high expectations of Antonio's, but was let down. Our server had a friendly face and smile but an extremely huge attitude. When we were trying to get her attention, she responded that she was "doing something." We were seated early and the restaurant was not busy but was still treated with this type of service. Come in for the bread and happy hour but nothing else.

Whilst on my upstate-vacay Miss Sarit, her friend Leslie and I came here for some martinis. As if I needed any excuse to further progress toward alcoholism, this place makes their martinis with their own gelato! I had the lemon gelato martini and was blown away by how incredibly packed with flavor it was. Seriously, it's of epic proportions. I also tried some of Miss Sarits chocolate gelato martini, which was complex, dark and sinfully delicious. We didn't try the food, but with drinks as good as these I am sure their food must be way above average. Their customer service is something fierce - they take it seriously. We were greeted at the door, walked to the table, small talked and qualified for our drink selections to make sure we were happy with them. I can't wait to come back to this gem!

As luck would have it, it was Binghamton Restaurant Week and we attempted a walk in - first available was three+ hours later - but the hostess mentioned we could get the RW menu at the bar and two seats were calling. Lots of choices on the menu but friend and I ended up having the same meal! Cup of Cauliflower, potato and leek soup to start was yummy - very comforting, not too thick, good flavor - I could have stopped here! But fortunately did not! Main was spectacular! Salmon with everything bagel spices served over pearl couscous in a risotto style was inspired (honestly, I will try this at home)! I hope this is a menu regular because I will crave this for many more meals! Add a black Manhattan and this meal is a treat! (Took the dessert course to go - blueberry cronuts were better than chocolate but both likely suffered a wee bit from loss of ambiance and slight steaming that occurred on drive - good for sure but did not compare to the rest of the meal). Shout out to Tommy F for exceptional service - attentive but not intrusive. Ambiance is lovely (the lighting dimmed as we sat - hysterical) but we also scored the most comfortable seats in the house (I hate a high top stool with no back and no padding on the seat - those stools look nice but should go away). Also love the hook under the bar.

After reading the sign indicating we need to see the host inside, we went. It was packed and looked modern chic, with low lights and high tables and tall chairs. We didn't have reservations and got the sorry, but we're full, to which I said we wanted to eat upstairs. To that, we got "okay" but that is a "different experience," which I frankly took as pretension... until I got upstairs. Then we understood. It was mostly empty on this Saturday evening, opposite the main restaurant below, and had a single person working the whole space, a Bar tender who explained we were to pull up the menu with a QRC, order, and they would bring the food; if we wanted drinks, we needed to come to the bar. Ordered food. Went to bar and waited. Good local craft beer on tap. Decent view, pleasant weather. And then a half hour passed. For sandwiches and tacos. Few minutes later, I went in to make sure our order was sent and that the kitchen actually received it. There was no animated chef in toque at a stove to indicate it was working, but she assured me it was. Another 15 minutes go by, and our beers are low, and we're considering.... Leaving or raising a stink when the bartender leaves her bar, looks at us, and goes down the stairs without a word, returning a few minutes later with nothing. That was odd, but seemed like progress. A few minutes later, our food arrives. Perhaps 50-60 minutes after ordering it. The runner tells us the manager apologies for the wait and has comped all our food. Without our having to say a word. We ate a fine arugula salad with watermelon, blueberries, and cheese. A good chicken sandwich with the most unusual Parmesan parsley fries--they were more thick chips, fried into curls, and topped with fried parsley and grated Parmesan. If you order it on the side, it comes with aioli, which was excellent. My burger was outstanding. I could taste the smoke, and it came with not slices, but small cubes of bacon. No need for sauce. My wife's shrimp tacos were very good eating. Frankly, it was so good, I *might* have forgiven them the wait. They did right to acknowledge their mistake. When we visit Binghampton again, we'll make reservations for the main dining room, which we were told has a much larger menu. We paid our bar tab via their Toast app. So yes, table service, but no waitron. It was a different experience, true to the host's word.

Dim lighting, big comfortable leather chairs, bookshelves lining the walls, a fully stocked bar, and historic photos throughout the space create a classic lodge vibe that feels timeless without being stuffy. It is cozy, polished, and incredibly relaxing. The staff is knowledgeable and clearly takes pride in what they serve. The craft cocktails are well made and thoughtful, and if you prefer beer, there are solid options there too. As a bourbon lover, I especially enjoyed their private barrel pick served neat, a real treat and easily a standout pour. This is a perfect pre-dinner or post-evening stop, we have done both, and it works beautifully either way. Dress is slightly casual but leans upscale, and while pricing is a bit higher than average, it feels completely worth it for the setting, quality, and experience. We sank into the chairs, talked story with friends, and lost track of time, which really says it all. If you are anywhere near Skytop Lodge, make sure this is on your list. Plan extra time, you will want to linger.

We recently celebrated our daughter's wedding here, and from beginning to end, the entire experience was nothing short of absolutely magical. Our daughter had the most amazing day surrounded by family and friends, creating memories that we will cherish forever. The venue accommodated and catered to approximately 160 guests, and everything was beautifully arranged. We even had a tattoo artist set up on the back dock, which added such a unique and unforgettable touch to the celebration! The property itself is simply stunning. The views are absolutely breathtaking, the ambiance is warm, elegant, and inviting, and everywhere you look feels like the perfect backdrop for beautiful wedding photos and unforgettable moments. The highlight, however, was the gorgeous pergola where our daughter said her vows. It was truly out of this world--romantic, elegant, and breathtakingly beautiful. Seeing our daughter get married beneath it, surrounded by the beauty of the property and everyone who loves her, was a moment we will never forget. We also want to give a very special thank-you to Nick and his incredible staff. They were exceptionally accommodating, kind, and helpful throughout the entire experience. They went above and beyond to make sure everything ran smoothly and that our family and guests felt welcomed and cared for. Their hospitality truly made the day even more special. Tavern 1244 at the Old Barons Inn gave our daughter the wedding celebration of her dreams.
