Stopped in with my sister-in-laws to enjoy a lively place with a happy vibe. We couldn't decide on entrees so we picked a bunch of items and shared. This was an excellent choice for us. We started with a classic Caesar salad, polenta fries, Anna's Italian meatballs and the fabulous fig and pig pizza. All yummy! I went for the white sangria (a little more fruit would've made me happier, but it wasn't around that long). My sister-in-laws had the house Cabernet Sauvignon and enjoyed it. We were too full for dessert but somehow made room for espresso martinis. They were pretty and tasty. I probably shouldn't have had one at 7:30 but so worth staying up late. Upon arrival you can definitely tell this is a loud environment. I normally do not mind crowd noise; the music was blaring. We started with their well known wings which were great. The polenta fries app was also very good. We then tried the Pretty Fly For A White Pie , Margherita, Funghi Bianco, sweet heat, Carnivore and pepperoni Pizzas. Happy, friendly crowd and vibe made this place a standout for me! There was a lively trivia contest going on and the Brianna K was prompt, conversational and helpful. I wasn't eating heavy so I had Anna's Italian Meatball plate, which was delicious and just the right size. What a surprise dining at Stokes tonight. First impression of this Easton bar is LOUD. Coming on a Sunday the place was packed, the music was pulsing the walls and the atmosphere were full of energy and excitement. Make no mistake, this is not just a college town bar. Stokes is cranking out artisan coal fired pizzas, home made pastas and craft cocktails - all with smiles and enthusiasm. Each member of the staff WANTED to be there and were eager to satisfy. The pasta here was top shelf. Rich complex flavors with home made pasta cooked to the perfect al dente rivaling any of the fine Italian restaurants we've been to. We left full and with enough leftovers for a whole other meal. Our server Mason was always popping back with a big smile to top off our waters and make sure we had everything we needed. I couldn't be more surprised at a college town bar. The only cons I have are parking - parking in Easton is always tough and the pricing was on the higher end. The check and food said fine Italian dining, but the ambiance was still a bar. Stoke is a coal-fired pizzeria and bar that opened in Easton, Pennsylvania in January 2016. It was founded by a group of restaurateur partners that includes Jack Onoroti & Rich Rosati. After a long delay, the pizzeria opened in downtown Easton in a spot that was formerly Eddie G's bar. The pizzeria features a 5,000-pound, coal-fired pizza oven imported from California. In addition to the signature coal-fired pizza pies, the menu also features Italian entrees, pasta dishes, burgers, sandwiches, small plates, salads, and desserts. The current executive chef at Stoke is Abe Lopez while the general manager is Melissa Lozada. My family and I had lunch at Stoke over the summer while we were visiting relatives in the area. Downtown Easton has a lot of dining options to offer, but coal-fired pizza sounded especially yummy. We liked the interior of the pizzeria which featured industrial lighting as well as columns that are papered with old advertisements from the Easton Express. For the table to share, our group started off with an "Arugula Salad" (grana padano, olives, tomatoes, shaved fennel, housemade lemon vinaigrette) and "Stoke's Famous Wings" (chef's hot honey, caramelized onions, banana peppers, gorgonzola). Afterwards, we all shared some pizzas that included "Sweet Heat" (marinara, mozzarella, hot capicola, Calabrian hot honey), "Fig & Pig" (béchamel, prosciutto di parma, mozzarella, arugula, balsamic fig spread), and "The Meatball" (vodka sauce, mozzarella, Anna's meatballs, parsley). One member of our party ordered "The Burger" (2 beef patties, 3 cheese blend, iceberg, tomato, mayo, Vienna roll, housemade garlic parmesan kettle chips). My sons ordered and shared the "Mac & Cheese" (gemelli, 3 cheese blend) and the "French Bread Pizza" (cheese, marinara sauce). I washed everything down with a delicious draught pour of Prison City Brewing's "Riot in PA" (New England IPA). Overall, we had a fabulous lunch at Stoke and highly recommend them to anyone visiting downtown Easton! read more

Where do I start? Every 6 months, I look forward to ERW (Easton Restaurant Week) and sort of walk around Easton and strategize where we'll eat, breakfast, lunch and/or dinner. It's fun. This Tuesday, we started at STOKE for the $14 lunch special: choice of pizza and side of arugula salad. Our server, Sophie greeted us, took our order and delivered a delicious salad and a sad looking pizza. And the request for a side of red sauce for $1.75 because there was a scant smear on the pizza, only to arrive in a mini metal ramekin with two tablespoons worth, was the biggest joke. 3.5 stars Visited for a late lunch on a Sunday afternoon after a Crayola visit. The mains took quite a while to come out despite it not being super crowded. We also felt a bit overlooked despite being right next to the door, long waits, forgotten dessert, boxes, food. The pomegranate mojito and smoky nail were good. Could not be happier to have dined at Stoke while visiting Easton. Right from the start, the vibes were great. The staff were absolutely wonderful, Riley is a wonderful server, she explained the menu and her recommendation was spot on. Justin was fantastic with the drinks and so attentive! Would give the staff 10 stars if I could. In this day and age, when the quality of service has declined drastically, it was so refreshing to have lovely service and feel welcome and not rushed despite a late arrival. The wings are the best I have ever had, soooooo crispy, the spicy sauce is pure flavor magic and peppers were a perfect add on. Parm puffs are a perfect little plate, melt in your mouth goodness and the truffle fries are yummy! The star of the show were the gnocchi! I will dream about this sauce forever! Light and fresh lemon butter sauce with fresh tomatoes, absolutely lovely! And the gnocchi were perfectly fried. Would have this plate daily if I could! Did someone say ferrero rocher creme brulee?!? Perfectly balanced and not overly sweet, it was a perfect way to end a truly great meal! Chef Kevin came out and checked on us, was absolutely lovely and so welcoming. Writing this as more of a suggestion to the owners/managers. :) We went there on a Thursday night at 6 p.m. for dinner with our kids and 3yo granddaughter. There were maybe 4 tables occupied and they had a DJ, which we were not aware of until after we were seated. The music was so loud that you could not hold a conversation at the table, and our granddaughter was pretty uncomfortable due to the noise level. Unfortunately, we could not sit at their outside tables due to the weather (chilly and windy), though we did see a few people choose that option after hearing the decible of the music. Amazing! We went after Crayola Experience, which is basically across the street, and I wish we lived closer to make it our regular spot. The margarita pizza was delicious and, I can't believe I'm saying this, but that was the best chicken sandwich ever!! I asked the waitress what makes it so special, and it's the tapenade. Delicious! There are pictures on the walls which are available for purchase. The menu has lots of different things to try. We ordered a few pizzas and the polenta sticks. The polenta sticks were amazing, the sausage/pepper and sweet heat pizzas got high marks, however the spinach pizza was extremely burnt. This rendered most of the crust to be very bitter. When the bill came we were surprised to find an up charge which was not disclosed when ordering and an extra drink tacked on. They removed the extra drink but it was a mistake which could of been easily avoided. Docking 2 stars for the burnt pizza and undisclosed upcharge. However we are planning on going back again to see if this was just a fluke visit. read more

Right across the street from Crayola. The service was great and quick (maybe because it is a weekday during school week). Meatball parm sandwich was good but not great. It comes with house made chips which were good but not great. The pizza was very good though. The crust is thin and the entire slice is crunchy. The tomato sauce also tastes very fresh with very good flavor. I have a feeling that stoke probably makes one of the better pizzas in the area. This restaurant was my favorite! however I have been there a few times lately and it's really changed and disappointing. Not sure what happened but the quality of service and food has gone downhill. My latest visit was on December 30. I always take my out of town friends and family. The kitchen was closed for about 45 minutes which the host did tell us. However it was around 6:00 pm we had a group of 8 people and we decided to wait it out because they all wanted to try the pizza and the wings I promote so much!! Anyway the wait to order was almost one hour and almost one hour to get our food. The Manager never came to our table it's almost like they don't care. Trust me that was not the case about one year ago I would say. The quality of the food was definitely something I wont be bragging about. needless to say I was so embarrassed with my friends and that big bill!! so not worth it!! Never again. Made reservations at Stoke for a party of 10 to celebrate two of our children, whose birthdays are one week apart. We asked for a low top table because we had 3 small children in our party. We arrived at the designated time to find that they weren't ready for us and in fact didn't have any low top tables available. So they pushed a couple of high tops together and sat us there. They brought water & utensils to us and we scanned in the QR code on the table to access the menu. We gave the waitress our drink order and within a few minutes the drinks started to arrive a few at a time. It took about 10 minutes for them all to be brought out, only then could we toast our kids celebrating their birthdays. We then ordered some apps and they came out pretty quickly. We got the mozzarella sampler and polenta fries. They were passed around and not a drop was left on either plate. Delicious! Then we ordered our meals. I got the Padrino chicken sandwich with truffle fries and my wife got the meatballs with a side salad. We needed some grated cheese and pepper for the table and waited a few minutes for the waitress to return but when I didn't see her anywhere, I asked a food runner to bring them. In fact, we only see our waitress when she came back to see if we wanted more drinks. Never asked how are food was or if we needed anything else. Back to the food: my meal was delicious and the fries were some of the best I've ever had. My wife was equally happy with her meal. Then when the bill came I saw I was charged for ice in my Manhattan. When asked about this, the waitress said because I wanted it on ice they had to add more alcohol. BS! It's very mid. Extremely loud in there, and they seem understaffed even when they aren't full. The staff is always friendly but things take a while. About 25% of what you order will be delicious, and the rest is just fine. It's fine! The death of my patronage here though is a takeout experience. Waited 15-20 minutes past the 25 minutes they said it'd take for cold, hard, inedible food. The air fryer saved some of it but most just went into the trash. Too bad. Wasted $50. Fries are a $4.00 or $4.50 upgrade to both the kids meals and sandwiches over the chips. The DJ at the bar looked pretty bored for this Sunday afternoon.
