They said nothing was wrong with him, he looks great, no issues every single time. He ended up passing away due to a tumor in his stomach that another vet found. Our other vet stated that it appears that it had been in his stomach for a long time. My poor sick boy was puking and pooping bl**d all over when I took him to Animal Medical Center. They gave us some antibiotics and told us everything will be fine. On our last visit to them, they stated that they marked their fecal test as done, but said they must have "misplaced it" and that the test was never done. Rest in peace my little Mika :( Additionally, the wait times here are insanely long, no matter how long you have been a patient. Multiple times, over the last 10 years or so, my pet and I have had to wait well over an hour to be seen. Having an appointment does not matter to these people. I wrote a 1 star review in the past and the called my MOTHER. Their reasoning for calling my mother was that she is the account owner for our pets, stating they know their patients so well that they know who is leaving a review. My mother was harassed by these people for days, receiving at least 3 phone calls from someone that works here regarding MY review. They lied and said my mother was happy with their services. My mother's name is on the account, however I am the one that takes our pets to their appointments. If they know us so well, they should have known that my mother is not the one who takes them to the vet. It is extremely unprofessional to harass my mother regarding MY review. My mother was NOT happy with their services either. This establishment sent an urgent letter to MY SISTER, not OUR address, to fire us as a client, even though we had already cancelled everything with them and told them we would not be returning. They have admitted that they forgot about my pets and me while we were sitting right in their lobby. Leave a bad review and they'll call your mom. What a horrible, horrible experience. DO NOT TRUST THIS PLACE. They will report and remove your Google review if you leave a 1 star.

Not sure what issues went on in the backend but we had to resolve with the USDA office since the vet was no help. We even had to go to the USDA office ourselves in downtown Austin to pick it up which is messed up considering we had to pay for overnight shipping. That leads me to the outrageous price. I've never paid so much. Please go to Tickle Blagg in San Marcos or Bluebonnet in Austin. I have been impressed with every single interaction we've had with the doctors, techs, and staff at Tickle-Blagg in every routine visit we've had. This last Thursday, though, we experienced a very scary emergency with one of our dogs, and I just can't express enough how wonderful our experience here was. They were flexible with our timing due to difficult circumstances, quick to see us in when we arrived, and Dr. Jordan was quick to come to the exam room. Every box was checked, from start to finish. They were kind, informational, patient, explanatory, and considerate. Even Dr. Blagg, who wasn't our doctor for this visit, came to see how our little dude was while we were there. I really could go on and on, but I think this paints the picture. What a wonderful place -- I'm so glad they're here!

We get our dogs teeth cleaned every 6 months with a mobile pet dental company for $200. We originally got a quote for a dental cleaning at this clinic & they quoted us $2000 for ONE DOG. Are you kidding me? She started berating us for getting the dogs teeth cleaned somewhere else. And then she was just very unpleasant to deal with the remainder of the visit. We will continue with this clinic but we refuse to have this horrible person in charge of our beloved pets health & care.

He's incredibly knowledgeable, honest, and you can tell he genuinely cares about the animals he treats. One thing I really respect is that he never pushes unnecessary medications or treatments just to make money -- he always does what's truly best for the pet. Yes, the clinic can get busy at times, but that's what happens when you have a team that people trust. The staff is always kind, professional, and communicates well. Working with animals means emergencies happen and some appointments take longer than expected. If that were your pet in the room needing extra care, you wouldn't want your doctor to rush just because someone else is waiting. I always try to remember that some pet parents may be receiving the worst news of their lives in those rooms. A little patience and kindness goes a long way. This clinic has taken care of my family's pets for years, and I wouldn't trust anyone else. I will gladly wait however long it takes to see such an amazing doctor and team.
