Poor girl, may lose her eye. Took her to VCA so they could look at her and hopefully help my cat. No compassion shown to us. Wouldn't see her because I didn't have an appointment! Also told me there would be an emergency exam fee, IF they would even see her. I have an injured animal These people are veterinarians, but only worried about an appointment and how much money they can charge me. Most veterinarians are concerned for animals health, but certainly not the case today. I 'm sure there's infection involved, wouldn't even assess her injuries. My cat may lose her eye, VCA lost any and all respect from me and I WILL NEVER BRING ANOTHER ANIMAL to VCA again. No appointment, zero help, waste of my time.

The only reason why I went there and not somewhere closer is because the place where I adopted him from gave me a $250 voucher to use at a VCA clinic. After my visit, you couldn't pay me to return. To begin, there isn't one nice or happy person that works there!. My experience started with the vet tech Taylor and then later we were joined by the veterinarian Dr. Leslie. I asked Dr. Leslie if she could take a look at my pups sutures from being recently neutered. With her ungloved and hopefully sanitized hands she aggressively pinched and grabbed the area so hard that it broke his sutures and caused bleeding. I'm no doctor but, I'm pretty sure that's not going to promote healing. He was not bleeding before we went in. I know they took him into the other room for about 1 minute to weigh him. I'm not sure what else they did. I can tell you what they didn't do in front of me. I never saw them take his temperature. I never saw them looking in his ears or in his nose, his teeth....nothing at all! The only thing I saw anyone do was observe him from a distance and give him a milk bone. Dr. Leslie told me that he seems fine. She doesn't see any mucus coming out of his nose. Well, there was but, he licks it up or it's draining down his throat when he's standing. While there, he was coughing and sneezing. Due to her disbelief, I felt compelled to prove he is suffering day and night from congestion so, I pulled out a picture I took of him the previous night with a puddle of mucus on the floor, where he was sleeping. She replied, "oh yuck!". Not the most professional verbiage I've heard but what bothered me is, she was dismissive of my concerns and never felt for swollen glands or lymph nodes etc. . Also, why did I have to pull up a picture to prove that he has indeed been suffering from sinus issues? Why didn't she look at any part of him except for the sutures she ruptured?!! Throughout the appointment, I would ask the doctor a question but, before she could answer the tech, Taylor would either interrupt the doctor or speak for her, which seemed very odd to me. I don't know why the doctor allows the tech to steamroll over her. It was very unprofessional and I didn't want to hear her answers, I wasn't asking her and I'd rather hear from the person that has a doctorate. From both Taylor and Leslie, they responded with a condescending and patronizing tone. Meanwhile I noticed that Taylor, vet tech would do eye rolls towards the doctor, thinking I couldn't see which was beyond rude. Taylor was very snarky, haughty and self righteous just awful. I feel like that place sucked the soul out of me. I've noticed some of the responses by the manager on here is they can't find you in their database or as being one of their clients. So, to clarify..Yes I am and I was just in there, Monday September 8th at 2:30. Well, I was there and my appointment was at 2:30 but I wasn't seen until around 3:15. I didn't see anybody waiting in the lobby. They were not busy. It's now Friday and dog is still sick, I've emailed and called several times now to pick up the antibiotics that Dr. Leslie said she would prescribe if he didn't get better in a few days. She didn't want to give them to me right then because she wants to be a a good "steward" in the medical industry. Ok. I get it but MY DOG IS STILL SICK AND I NEED HIS MEDICATION!! I can't imagine taking an animal here, especially if it were a life and death situation. Or if it was time to send your fur baby over the rainbow bridge. There was no sense of caring at all at this place and I guess they don't take the "Hippocratic Oath" here. Go somewhere else, ANYWHERE ELSE BUT HERE. Update: The response from owner is utterly ridiculous and patronizing which proves my point! They want me to contact their review department so they can "listen and support me"? What?! You're a vet clinic owner, not a therapist. A more appropriate response would be: 1. I'm sorry 2. We will address this internally so it doesn't happen again 3. How can we make this right? I guess it's the trickle down from the owner. Not one iota of taking responsibility.

She would pace and pace all day until she collapsed, exhausted. It was terrible seeing her like that and she'd had a recent appointment to our regular vet, and they recommended I put her to sleep, but according to their guidelines, I wouldn't be able to go in with Chloe. I wasn't okay with that. I needed to be there with my little girl. So, I called around and found this wonderful clinic that said I could wait in the lobby while they prepared Chloe for euthanasia, and then I could come in and hold her while they administered the final dose. That was my best option, so with a heavy heart, my sister drove us over there, I was crying the whole time and kissing Chloe. Anyway, they gave me as much time as I needed with Chloe in a private room and then they gave her a shot to sedate her and said she won't be waking up again. So, the crying continued, but I was ready to let her cross the rainbow bridge and be with my 47yo husband, who passed the year before. She had her head on my shoulder as they gave her the final shot into the port in her paw and within 5-10 seconds, she stopped breathing. They let me hold her until I was ready to let go. This is so difficult to write because it feels like I'm going through it again. A few weeks later, I received a plaster circle with Chloe's paw print and her name on it. Everyone at this clinic was super nice, understanding and accommodating to my specific needs, while following Covid guidelines. I truly appreciated it.

Several neighbors recommended Marion Animal Hospital for both service and cost. They were still taking Covid precautions so i drove up and gave them a call. It was pouring rain and i was 15 minutes early so I expected to be sitting in the parking lot for quite some time. A very nice friendly lady came out in about five minutes and exchanged my dog with some paperwork. In less than 10 minutes after that i was shocked when she came back with my dog who already received a nail trim, rabies shot and Brevecta and did not seem unhappy at all. She took my payment and we were headed back home within 15 minutes. I gotta say i was more than pleased with drive up dog care.

I started seeing Dr. DeCola for my two dogs and I loved her gentle and caring nature with my dogs and her willingness to spend enough time to give a thorough exam and answer any questions. I highly recommend her. About two weeks ago one of my dogs who had a long and active life needed end of life care. He took a quick downward turn and he and I needed to see a vet right away. Dr. DeCola wasn't available, but Dr. Harter was. I knew this would be a final goodbye to my beloved dog and I was very emotional. Dr. Harter agreed to see me and my dog asap. When we got to the office Allie, one of the vet techs, took us into a room and explained our options. She was so compassionate and caring. She was so good to my dog. Then Dr. Harter came in and answered any additional questions and explained the procedure and what to expect. Dr. Harter allowed myself, my daughter and my daughter-in-law to have as much time to say goodbye as needed. Dr. Harter was so gentle with my dog and so loving. Her manner was very comforting and I felt like my dog and I were in safe hands. She allowed myself, my daughter and my DIL to stay in the room and comfort my dog, even after he had left us. I would highly recommend Dr. Harter, Allie and Pet's Choice Animal Hospital.
