No issues with the service/people. Parking is plentiful. The hours are odd but doable. It's really the food and drinks that are lacking. Definitely one of the pricier places in Corvallis for smoothies and sandwiches, especially when the smoothies start at 10 oz instead of what I usually expect of 12 oz (the coffee and tea drinks do start at 12 oz) . I do appreciate them labeling everything regarding gluten, dairy, etc. So if you have any sort of dietary restrictions, definitely a safe place to come to. Their latte is okay, not the best, not the worst. The smoothies are hit or miss. I haven't been able to pick out the exact ingredient, but some are very chalky/grainy in texture, and no it's not the protein that they add to certain ones. I do enjoy the mint chip smoothie. Recommend a try if you have any dietary restrictions. Will probably come back to try out some other things on the menu, but unless I'm in the area won't actively seek it out. read more

[[HIGHLIGHT]]Ants is a cute spot. I absolutely love the reduce, reuse, recycle model. They have vegan and gluten free options[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]. I agree it's expensive. It's pricey in the way that I can't make it a regular spot, but I will make it a regular "special treat" spot. Online ordering was quick and easy. I purchased the glass reusable containers for an extra dollar. I see this as highly valuable. My items were ready on time with friendly and smiley service. The vegan gf mac n cheese was stunning. So much flavor packed in every bite. It was cheesy vegan love. The desserts for later were the Chocolate Nut Butter Cups. The website said, better than a Reese's. House-made chocolate nut butter cups are sweet, creamy, and delicious. Filled with house-made almond butter (GF, DF, V). A real treat for anyone with special dietary needs or NOT because they were delectable. I saved my favorite item for last. A chai smoothie. It was made with almond milk, hemp and a banana. It was so creamy and satisfying. I feel this is that unique thing that I will get again and again here. I'm already craving it. I saw they make a coffee smoothie too. I think I'll try that next time. I could see getting those for friends in the reusable glass containers as little gifts at work or when I'm coming to visit. I think I will also try an Açaí bowl next time. Those looked lovely in the photos. Keep up the great work Ants. Y'all are special. I'm hoping you can add a few more affordable items to bring in some more hungry folx. Maybe a tempeh BLT? Yowzas, this place was fantastic! I got the veggie sandwich, which was loaded with fresh crunchy veggies, perfectly ripe avocado and a delicious garlic herb sauce on a supertasty toasted sandwich bread - served with tortilla chips and fresh fruit. Got a fudgy oat brownie to split with a friend later, and it was equally delish. Everything on the menu is gluten-free! I'm picky about what I eat, and Ants on a Log fulfilled all my hopes and dreams. I really love this place! The ingredients are carefully vetted, the creations are delicious. The people are really lovely and go out of their way to make sure they get things that way you like---including careful attention to allergies. My husband leaves there hungry because the portions are small, so I think it would help to have some big salads and such, but I have loved everything I have had there. The chai smoothie is ridiculously good, the roasted veggies are wonderful, really everything is great! read more

They make THE best gluten free bread ever. Fresh loaves are for sale also. Everything here is fresh and nutritious including the smoothies, muffins, cookies and scones. My current fave is the seasonal fresh pumpkin smoothie, a totally delicious meal in itself. I love it that they participate in the sustainable container program also. read more

This is my favorite spot in Corvallis to study as a college student who has been vegan half of their life with focusing on eating gluten free and organic. The espresso taste great, my favorite latte to order is with almondmilk and peppermint. The focus on sustainability is the cherry on top offering reusable options and allowing others to bring in reusable containers. The bathroom is clean, the atmosphere is minimalist with plants and spacey seating. My partner loves their protein smoothies, the coffee one is their favorite. The avocado toast on gluten free vegan bread is my favorite with micro greens, olive oil, salt, and garlic. Always giving out samples which I find very kind as lot of other business aren't as gracious. The staff is kind, I always feel welcomed every-time I come in and they always have a welcoming smile. I highly recommend the fudgy oat brownie! Don't listen to the other reviews of people complaining about the price and the gluten free items tasting bad, you get your money's worth with catering to all dietary needs. The gluten free bread is moist and in my opinion, is better than all the gluten free breads I've tried that are sold in the grocery stores. read more

The food and drinks here are amazing. I got a latte made with their in-house made almond milk. The almond milk really brought the coffee flavor forward, helping me wake up and feel energized. I also got the oatmeal, which had spaghetti squash and chia seeds in it, as well as lines of hazelnuts, coconut, hemp seeds, and cranberries on top. It was so hearty and warming that I felt myself slipping into a meditative trance of mmmmmmm. The staff brought me a sample of their overnight oats which was delicious and had whole apple pieces in it. This place was exactly the start to my day I needed and the oatmeal left me feeling satisfied until lunch time. And bonus, there are open windows to the rock climbing gym next door. We wondered what happened to Whitewinds smoothies that was previously downtown -you can find them at Ants on a Log Cafe now! Delicious food too (we had the hummus plate and tomato soup in addition to creamy carrot and pumpkin pie smoothies). I wish I had taken photos as everything looked as good as it tasted. I do not understand the negative reviews posted here. Give it a try and see for yourself if you like healthy and delicious cafe food. The staff was friendly, the cafe was clean, and I appreciate that they are eco conscious in how they serve their items and source local ingredients. We will be back for more. read more
