Heard great things, had to give it a try. Quite pleased with our experience. We're not a GF family and I went wondering if it'd taste any different. The menu is broad enough that there's plenty to pick from. We were there for dinner. The food was delicious! Mom had the grilled cheese with sweet potato fries (they were even good as cold leftovers!!). The sandwich comes with a combo of 3 melted cheeses. Dad had the honey glazed chicken. Also really good. Hubby had the 2-meat BBQ plate with pulled pork and 1/2 rack of ribs. He really liked his ribs. He was pleased with the baked beans, too. And I got the steak salad. Delicious! When trying a new place, I always go for that and I was not disappointed one bit! I tried both the baker's roll (rosemary and sage today) and the heart attack roll. Neither made me think I was eating GF. As first-timers, we were given free chocolate chip cookies. The centers were soft and moist with crisp edges. I do like a ymmy sweet to finish off the meal. It's really nice to have a GF restaurant where the family can all go and find something without compromising selection or taste. We'll certainly be back!! read more

The moment we walked in the door at Eats & Treats, we got a friendly greeting and a smile. As we were walking to the table, they asked if it was our first visit (it was), as that meant complimentary chocolate chip cookies! The large menu can seem a bit overwhelming, but once you figure out how the BBQ plates work, it's easy to order one of their standard dishes, or customize your own combo. I ended up going with the "Single Plate", with an additional side. I got pulled pork with Carolina BBQ sauce, mac n' cheese, a baker's roll (varies from day to day), and added sweet potato waffle fries. Everything was delicious. The pulled pork was a little more "wet" than I'm used to, but it was smoky and flavorful, especially with the BBQ sauce. The roll was almost muffin-like, with rosemary seasoning mixed into the batter, which I quite enjoyed. The mac n' cheese definitely has a cheesy texture, with a caramelized top, but the flavors weren't as sharp as I like -- still very good, especially after I accidentally spilled some of that Carolina BBQ sauce on top of it. My food gets all mixed together on a BBQ plate, anyway; so why not? LOL The sweet potato waffle fries get their own section, because they were that good. The coating was crispy and well seasoned, with a slight kick -- they were amazing. I would probably ask for ketchup to dip them in next time, but since they had brought me extra BBQ sauce (without my asking), I just used that... or ate them without any dipping sauce. Our server was amazing throughout our lunch. She was always friendly and informative, and really helped make for a great experience. She remembered our cookies at the end (we got them to go), and didn't miss a beat when we decided to order from their dessert case last minute. Since it was "pi day", they had lots of pie related options -- all small servings, for 1 or 2. My wife and I shared a Key Lime bar, which was delicious. It was a little richer than I expected, but was nice and creamy, with that tart lime kick. The crust was good and crunchy, too. We knew coming in that this establishment was all gluten-free, even though nobody in our party needed to avoid gluten, and I was preparing myself to be disappointed -- and I can happily say that never happened! A lot of what E&T serves is homemade, and they obviously know what they are doing, so their GF offerings far surpass many dining establishment's full gluten options. If you have lower expectations for GF food, as I did, leave them at the door. Even my daughter, who is a pretty good baker herself, was impressed with the "heart attack" roll that she ordered with her meal -- we have never seen GF bread that fluffy! These guys obviously know what they are doing. Oh yeah, and those chocolate chip cookies? So good -- soft, and loaded with chocolate chips. Looking for some good lunch food, we happened upon this little gem. The folks were lovely, seating us at an outside table and bringing our little dog a bowl of water. We both had delicious BLTs on their gluten free bread, which is delicious. Loads of bacon and fresh veggies. So good! read more

Whether you're gluten free or not you'll enjoy your meal but if you're gluten free like me you might debate over the menu for a long time because GF peeps don't usually have too many options to choose from when dining out. I settled on the smoked turkey sandwich with added bacon and sweet potato waffle fries. Everything was fresh and super tasty. The ranch was bomb, the fries bomb, the chocolate chip cookies- bomb! Hubby had jalapeño cornbread and pulled pork that he was super pleased with. At first some of the pricing might seem high but the portions are quite large. Wish they were closer to home-surprised to have found them in a small little town along our multi state road trip. They need to ship those cookies. read more

It's like eating a meal with your family, owners will come and chat and say hello. Wait staff is so friendly and knowledgeable. The atmosphere is cozy and inviting. What an amazing place. Very homey in a small town. You should not expect to find a dedicated gluten free bakery and restaurant here. But here it is. We showed up after the OSU football crowd left. Very welcoming. Clean and good ambiance. Great selection on the menu. We shared a single BBQ plate with pulled pork, fries and cornbread (and added a dinner roll). Oh, and this was after a small plate of Mac 'n Cheese Balls. Great portions and delicious!!! Our server, Casey, was very friendly and took time to tell us the backstory about the place. This is hands down the best GF eatery in Oregon! 100% dedicated food and treats/desserts with lots of choices for other allergens like dairy, nuts, soy, egg, etc. The menu is extensive and hard to choose from. My non-GF hubby said it was some of the best food he has had (GF or not - he had the pulled chicken and tri tip tacos), and my DF daughter loved all of it, too (she had the chicken curry salad). Don't miss out on the BEST sweet potato waffle fries dipped in their homemade honey mustard sauce (seriously - I'm not even a sweet potato fry fan and I could not stop eating these!). The pulled BBQ chicken was perfectly cooked and seasoned with KC BBQ sauce, the Mac and cheese is awesome, and their corn bread was the best I've eaten. Their dessert case had so many amazing choices that it was hard to choose. The gracious and super friendly owner (Lynda) gave us all cookies since it was our first time in (and a DF cupcake for my daughter since she couldn't eat the cookie). She also insisted I pick out a treat on them since my bday is in a couple of days. We still purchased several items to take home. We ordered BBQ and a sandwich to share, and I took home several treats for later. Everything was yummy, but ironically my favorites were the basics- the sandwich and chocolate chip cookies! Being gluten free makes finding good food like this hard. My gluten consuming partner says that he wouldn't have even known it was gluten free if it wasn't advertised that way. We have been to Corvallis so many times to see our daughter at OSU and passed this place repeatedly. Not sure why we decided to go this time around but boy what we have been missing. This place is friendly, clean and serves some legit BBQ. We were there on a Friday so were lucky enough to have the Tri Tip special. The hubs and I split it and it was more than enough. We tried all their sauces and each was better than the next. I opt for the spicy and it added a nice tang. The owner stopped by to check up on us and we had a great conversation. It's pretty cool that this place is 100% gluten free. There's even warnings in the front door to NOT bringing outside food or drink for the fear of cross contamination. It's nice to not have to worry about gluten. Cozy atmosphere and great service. First off, sweet potato waffle fries... best I've ever had. Ranch dressing was also the best I've ever had. Perfectly crispy on the outside and soft on the inside. I had a mixed plate of pulled pork, pulled chicken and spicy sausages. The chicken and pork had smaller pieces and was runnier than I like, I like to know I'm eating chunks of meat, not a soup. The sauces were vinegar based and peppery. Not too sweet. I wish the meat was more meat less sauce. The sausage texture was very soft. I prefer a more meaty texture than the soft "applesauce" like texture. I don't know how more to describe it. They had good flavor and had good heat. Another dish was the chicken strips. The breading was good but I wasn't expecting the whole pieces of chicken. It was like they removed the bones from fried chicken. There were complete bites that had all that fatty stuff. Chicken strips should be lean tenderloin or just breast meat. The fries were good, a little too much spice added, they were real peppery. Another party member loved the biscuits and gravy. Also real peppery. The final party member thoroughly enjoyed the tomato soup and grilled cheese sandwich. All in all, we will come back, great food, great visit. read more

First off... shout out to Liv! Best service I've had in a while. Happy, friendly, kept the drinks full and made great suggestions. I've been hearing about Eats and Treats for a while. Several friends have said great things so of course I had to give it a go. They feature gluten free breads and BBQ. The restaurant was clean and decorated for the holidays! It was cheery, open, and bright. Not too loud to sit and chat. I ordered the two meat plate with roasted carrots, brisket soup and cornbread. With regard to meat, I chose the smoked ham and the spicy sausages; both were delicious, tender, and juicy. Something to be aware of is that they do different smoked meats on different days of the week. I'll have to go back and try some of the other meats. (Check their website for the menu if you want to know what's on.) The brisket soup was outstanding. Flavorful, chunky, a little spice and loads of yum! I like roasted carrots and these did not disappoint. The cornbread was a little different texture than what I am used to but it was delicious, spread with a generous helping of honey butter. Trevor had a BLTA salad and to be honest I wasn't really paying attention to it. Trevor says,"It had fresh ingredients/produce. Substantial serving of avocado. Fresh cooked bacon chopped up, not pre made bacon bits. Their ranch dressing was rich and creamy." It did indeed look fresh and healthy and he seemed quite happy with it. Eats and Treats is a little bit on the spendy side but I felt it was worth it. I'll go back for sure... Trevor already has plans to be back as well. I say give it a go!! read more

We had breakfast at another restaurant in Corvallis and of course, I had to ask a million questions about what what gluten free- an Angel at Tommy's recommendation Eats & Treats - not only delicious food, but EVERYTHING is gluten free. I took note and the next day we drove to Philomath and immediately noticed a sign on the door reiterating the gluten free zone and to leave all outside food products. Already excellent! Upon entering we were greeted like family from the young people hosting and waiting; and quickly met the two owners who were so warm, passionate about gluten free being delicious AND safe, and were promptly given the most delicious chocolate chip cookie. It was so buttery and sweet, perfect amount of salt, and I may have cried while eating it. As I reviewed the menu, I was overcome with gratitude that I could safely order anything without the usual litany of questions. The bread and pastries were soft and flavorful, even stunned my non-gf husband with how good they were. "Genuinely good!" I ordered a grilled cheese, cinnamon bun, and pumpkin spice bread and it was heavenly. They have flour mixes, recipes online, and cooking classes! In addition, I noticed a lot of dairy free and vegan choices too (celiacs understand!) I can't wait to try them again, so thankful for an amazing restaurant run by knowledgeable people , passionate about good, safe food. read more

First time here.. we were greeted by our waitress and asked if we had been before and told since it was our first time we would each get a gluten free chocolate chip cookie (which was amazing) We order tacos and shared an order of fries that were cooked to perfection (the seasoning was extra bonus) the tacos are delicious. Service was excellent and attentive. A gentleman I assumed was the owner came out and chatted with interesting conversation. We've passed this restaurant on our way to the coast many times and thought we'd give it a try for lunch a couple of weeks ago. Wow! Were we in sticker shock over the prices! I had two beef brisket tacos (came with nothing else) and it was $16!! They were eaten in 3 bites each. We were charged $4.50 for iced tea! This is the most we've been charged for tea EVER (including expensive restaurants in the Portland-metro area). Half an avocado sets you back $2.60 and a club sandwhich is $28. Our server was nice, I can't remember his name, but, went on break before our food came out. I paid almost $20 for a tuna sandwich and waffle fries!!!! I think this is my biggest problem, is the OVER PRICED TUNA! Who charges that much for a SANDWICH???? That's not taking care of your locals, better yet, it's screwing them over! Alright, I don't know why I neglected to review Eats & Treats. Completely inexcusable for such a fine restaurant. First off, this is a completely gluten free establishment. NO GLUTEN allowed beyond the doors. The owner's daughter is Celiac and they specifically sought out to make food that is hearty and luxurious and breaded, without any gluten whatsoever. Before I forget; the chocolate chip cookies are to die for, and I would challenge anyone to present a gluten cookie up against their GF ones and say that the gluten cookies are better. Hands down, bar none these are the best cookies I've ever eaten. Anyways. My partner and I usually end up here for brunch on Sundays, although we've been to known to have a Saturday night dinner date here. We love coming in, because we feel like we're part of the family. The owners are here every time we are, serving tables and checking in on guests. Heck, one time I was parking the car and my partner came in to get a seat. While she was waiting, a person who was waiting for an order to-go started to try and "get friendly" with her. Welp, here comes the owner in his big cowboy hat, gives her a huge hug, and says, "Welcome back, honey! Where's the Big Guy?" That kept her from having to awkwardly rebuff an advance, but just showed us how much we feel welcome and known here. Anyways, the food. It's mostly barbecue and home cooked classics, like macaroni and cheese or chicken pot pie. There's some Tex-Mex influence here and it shows throughout the little bits of heat that come from here and there. When we come for dinner, it's all about the BBQ plates for us. We'll both go crazy with whatever's looking good, usually tri-tip, ribs, or pulled pork. My partner isn't fond of mac and cheese, but I'll go for it and it's really dang good. I have yet to be around when there's still corn bread available, but their buttermilk biscuit is to die for. My partner always goes for the heart attack roll, which is stuffed full of butter and cream. For brunch, my partner always looks at the specials and considers all her options, but invariably returns to the huevos rancheros, with jalepenos and sometimes tri-tip or pulled pork inside. I always, always, always go for the chicken fried steak. I swear to god, you would not know that this is gluten free. The breading is thick and delicious, with a heavy spice to it. The steak is an honest to goodness slab of steak, not some pre-formed, frozen hockey puck. Eggs are always cooked a perfect over-medium and we always get a side of bacon to share, which is invariably cooked perfectly. Service is always great. One day it was busy and staff were all over the place. Our waitress seemed to be getting a little over-whelmed and she forgot our drinks and then forgot to put in our bacon order, as well as making sure that my sausage gravy was put on the side and not over the top of the steak (the breading gets soggy, which I don't like; the gravy is absolutely delicious). We know how things get and I wasn't going to make a fuss about any of this. Things happen and there was a lot going on. But Lynda, the other half of this great ownership team, absolutely insisted that I get another one cooked to order. I just asked for a plate on the side, but she wouldn't hear of it. Within a few minutes, I had another chicken fried steak, sans gravy, and Lynda boxed up the first one for me to take home, should I choose to. This is definitely a restaurant where they don't want you to be unhappy with your experience. And again, check out that dessert case as soon as you come in. There are different things here throughout the day and while my personal favourites are the chocolate chip cookie and the cinnamon rolls, there's also a s'mores bar that my partner just adores. read more
