The employees that handle the title and tags are very unprofessional. I brought a 2017 Dodge Charger on the 4th of July 2020 and they never submitted the paperwork for my title and tags. They tried to lie and put the blame of the MVA. Saying because of COVID-19 the MVA is four months behind. When I went to the MVA the last week of Thanksgiving they said no paperwork was submitted for this cause that I purchased. I traded the car in on 12th of October and when to DarCars in New Carrollton I receive my tags on 4th of December for my 2020 WideBody Charger. Said thing is I didn't get my title for the 2017 Charger until the first week of December because I had to force them to submit the paperwork they they tried to blame their fuckup on DarCars because I traded it in which wasn't true. I get the run around for 3 days with the sales manager who tells me various excuses for why he can't price the vehicle yet. After a week of him not returning my call I get a salesman on the line who puts me hold to look up the price and then quotes me a great price. I drive all the way to the dealer and discover they can't find the vehicle and when they do it is loaded with the gym bag and belongings of the sales manager. I test drive the vehicle and when I return to purchase the salesman apologizes for quoting me the wrong price by over 2k. Brought my car here all the time for all the services and repairs for years & years. John is great & the other folks at service dept. were all pretty decent. Never had problems until I got Gary. Gary has very bad temper. When he takes you in & do the write up he stares at you like he already got a bad day (don't talk to me) and sounds like you also owe him a lot of money. When you tried to tell him what's wrong with your car & what service you need, he sounds like he has no time for no one. You better hurry up or leave right now that kind of feeling. When he cannot help you with the problem or I should said when he didn't want to help you, he told you their machine is broken go find to another dealer. Drive your business to your competitors??? Recently bought a 2019 Chrysler Pacifica here. When inspecting the car I noticed the spare tire was missing a part. I asked the sales person about it and they had someone go out and check. He said it was fine so I went back out with him and showed him. He acknowledged and the sales manager said they would order a spare tire kit for me. Went to financing and the finance guy messed up all the documents by putting the wrong state on everything. Asked him about documenting the spare tire kit and he said that's between you and the sales person (who said they would order it the next day when the parts department was open). No calls after a couple weeks so I drove up there and no one has a record of the spare parts kit. Parts department said you're out of luck because you don't have documentation and the original sales person and manager were both furloughed due to covid. This Dodge dealership damaged my dashboard during an airbag recall job and decided to do nothing while being rude and firing people that i talked to. I scheduled my truck for a airbag recall on march 27, 2020 at 7:30am. I just purchased my truck from a dealership a week prior with no damages to the dashboard and have pics. after the job was done they left my car dirty with debris and screws all over the floor. then i noticed large cracks on the dashboard. i went inside and asked michael shreve to speak to someone about it and was shrugged off and left standing there while several people walked by saying nothing and joking around in the service bay. the service manager charles braunlich finally came up to me immediately saying, "are you the guy with high mileage older truck?" I don't understand why that needed to be said or why are you discriminating already from the beginning. I showed him the cracks and he immediately started backtracking and finding ways to avoid having to fix it. Getting attitude, sucking his teeth, rolling his ideas, slamming my truck door. I got frustrated with him and demanded to talk to a higher up. I was told to talk to James Walker who i found out later was fired days later. I wonder why but it seems very suspicious. James walker gave me promises of fixing my truck and then was let go. I then talked to Jeff Kates who's the general sales manager and he reached out to Jon lefko the general manger that i was told he talked to charles braunlich and the technician that worked on my truck and decided to do nothing about the situation. never called me to discuss the matter. i then reached out to jeff lefko and he was very arrogant and cocky and had the nerve to say i don't need to call you. my guys been with me for 35 years and i trust them and i don't trust you. i said so they don't make mistakes and he again said i trust my guys. a general manager talks to customers like this is ridiculous. i called dodge corporate and reported this matter. My truck was damaged by this dealership. No accountability, no integrity, nobody took ownership and it starts from upper management down. I will never go to this dealership ever again. They can offer me a 2020 fully loaded dodge ram for $20 and i wouldn't take it. STAY AWAY FROM THEM!!! read more

WOW! That is not a good WOW, it is more like how and the heck can I live with myself giving this place one star! Yes this place is that bad. Now to be clear, I ended up NOT buying a car from here, but I must report on everything that I experienced. So I am looking for a vehicel, and decided to go and test drive a Dodge Charger. This was one dealership close to where I live so I went. First off, the parking lot is being re-done so there was no cars on the lot, and I thought it was closed. There were no signs to indicate otherwise, and it looked abandoned. As I drove by, I saw a small OPEN sign, so I double backed. Once I was there I had to go seek out someone to talk to about vehicles. At this point I probably should have left at this point, but I was like I am hear, what could go wrong. I get introduced to a salesman by another salesman, and I tell them what kind of car I am looking for. He takes me outside with some keys and takes me to used cars. Now I dont mind used cars but they never even asked if I wanted new or used, whatever. We go back in get more keys for new cars go look at them and take a test drive. Ok so the only saving grace about this dealership was the salesman, Peter, who was really cool and knew the car well. We get back and start the negotiating process and paperwork. You would have thought they were using computers for the first time that night. They couldnt do anything. They had to call over a manager, Rob, to help. Rob is perhaps the biggest D-Bag I have ever come into contact with when buying a vehicle. He asked me what kind of car I was interested and then quickly asked other non Dodge cars I was also looking at. I told him and I will never forget this, he grins and starts laughing at the otehr cars. He proceeds to lambast my choices and from the looks of his smug look, content on being a douche. He saw that I was bugged a bit and stopped. A few minutes pass and I couldnt hold my tongue. I told him that I didnt appreciate what he said and laughing at my other choices,a nd how unprofessional it was. He did apologize, but at that point I was like you are not the only Dodge dealers around and I began to leave. Ok so yeah, not a great experience at this place. Now I didn't buy my 2008 Durango from here but I figured since they are close by I will take it there for service updates. I'm a idiot for that move now they did my last oil change pretty quickly, don't get me wrong they was quick on getting that done. I had issues with my radio/HDD and backup camera not working due to it all being connected to the radio itself. I get there at 1130am due to me over sleeping and the service guy said it will be right after 1pm when they get to it. I said that's fine call my ride but they got called into work early so I just stayed there and wait. I looked out their window at 315pm and my truck hadn't been pulled in. Do not buy from here!!!!! On Monday, May 29, 2017 around 1:00 pm, my wife and I arrived at this dealership to purchase a black 2016 Dodge Charger Hellcat. First, the online price was 59k, and online it said that the vehicle was "brand new". Turns out the owner had been driving it as a demo vehicle and it had over 9,000.00 miles on the odometer. The vehicle was dirty and empty water bottles in the inside. At that point, I debated leaving and going elsewhere but, the salesman stated that he could possibly work on the price for me and make it worth it. I asked him could I test drive the vehicle, and he said that he has to talk with the owner. The owner comes out and points to my 2015 BMW M3 and says "what's that" are you looking to trade it? I tell him that I am looking to trade my vehicle. He says your not driving this vehicle until we do a credit check, appraisal of your vehicle and work a deal. He went on to ask where do I live and can I even afford this vehicle. I've never been so disrespected in my life. Buying a car should always be a great experience. I think that this dealership is a small time, with very low resources and this vehicle is there premium vehicle and he can't afford to take any losses. My wife bought her used Sentra here and then found her same exact car on the Musselman website for $1,000 cheaper than what she bought it for. I was working when she bought the car and she mistakenly told the sales man what her top price was. He conveniently found a Sentra that they just got in, he said he was going to get in trouble with his boss but he would sell the car at the top of her price range. When we found the car online for the real price I called. Bruce, the salesman who coincidentally sold her the car, answered the phone. I told him I found a Sentra on his website, i said that seems like a good price is it accurate. He said he had sold the Sentra but the price was correct. I then told him who I was and why i was calling, he got mad that i tricked him and yelled at me that I didn't know what I was talking about. Eventually Rob, the used sales manager called me and told me that it was a mistake on the website. I argued that I found it hard to believe they listed the car for a $1000.00 exactly over the price he ended up selling it for. I explained that we felt we were taken advantage of because my wife was there alone and he said "you should just be happy you got a fair deal regardless." He even admitted he had no idea what the price of the car was going to be but then assured me that it wouldn't have been what it was listed at on the web site. I will NEVER take another car to musselman's to be fixed. We brought our truck in late on a friday - was told they were not going to be able to get to it until Monday. When they called to say it was done at 2pm on Wed. They apparently had done $2000 dollars worth of labor - with $400 of parts. (when we were told how much it was going to be - I wrongly assumed that we had a major part being repaired) I googled a number of the things they did labor on (cleaning of the throttle body) - and found that most people said it could have been done in a 1/3 of the time. I purchased a 2012 Dodge Charger. In late 2013 I noticed that the CD player was not reading all tracks on a handful of CD's. These CD's were not burned. They were store bought items. At first Musselman's tried replacing the stereo system. No good, same issue. We then attempted to play the CD's in another vehicle with a premium stereo system on their lot. The CD's played fine. After attempting to update the software the issue persisted. So the service manger, JD McDaniels, purchased a new copy of one of the CD's. It played fine. When inspecting this CD, it was issued on a different record label and produced by a different individual than my original copy. Hence, it was not the same CD. Mr. McDaniels conclusion, even after pointing out the discrepancies to him, he still came to the conclusion that the issue was with my CD's and not the stereo system. After reminding him that they did in fact play fine in another vehicle in HIS repair shop, JD still had the gall to insist that the issue was with my CD's. In conclusion, Musselman's has refused to repair the faulty stereo that they sold to me and has refused to compenstae me in any way. read more

If you have a problem with the paperwork from a recently purchased vehicle from Mussleman's they will NOT help you. This says something about the integrity of this new dealership and those that work there. If this is how they handle even the smallest of things, what must they be like when something of real importance or expense happens.This review would not let me post until I marked at least 1 star, I wanted to leave it at zero. In my book, integrity and trustworthiness is the most important quality of working with a dealer. Buying a vehicle is a huge expense. Return customers should be important. If I could give less I would. My car went into the shop for radiator damage from a rock bouncing up under the car, unrelated it had a doughnut on it. They called to authorize work while I was in the hospital with my boyfriend who had to go in for emergency surgery, I am stressed and nine months pregnant at this point. I authorized the work with the radiator and they told me they wanted to fix the tire and that it was going to be $560. I told them that seemed steep for a tire and I was dealing with living in a hospital at that point and I wanted to wait, he pushed me saying that without a new tire the transmission wouldn't work and that the price was for electrical components and fixing that. I was exhausted and stressed and sitting in a surgical ICU and I very dumbly consented. We get the bill and they had charged me $300 for a new wheel, which was never discussed. The wheel wasn't with the car but they had never asked about it and with what was going on in my life I didn't think about it. We've asked them to take it off as I don't need it but they refuse saying they can't take the part back because it now has marks from the lug nuts on it and is therefore unusable? I told them i never authorized a wheel and they just keep saying "yes you did". They're rude, manipulative, and I'm so disgusted with the treatment I've received there that I'll be trading in my new challenger and buying anything not made by dodge. read more

I went to buy a used 2006 Ram 1500. It was listed as having a tow package and I was told by Bruce Otto that the truck had a full inspection by the service department. I drove the truck off the lot on Thursday, May 16th. By Tuesday, May 21st (not even 1 week later) the check engine light came on. Took the truck in, the service department, though nice and helpful, couldn't find anything wrong with what the code said. Told me I probably did not put the gas cap on tight enough, which I know I did. Gave me the truck back, no more check engine light. Saturday, June 1st (1.5 weeks later) the check engine light came back on again. Called the service department and they told me to wait to see if it would go away. It did not. The truck is BACK at the dealership AGAIN. TWICE in less than a month after buying it, the truck has had to go back to the shop. I got ripped off. The a/c also does not work, and again, no tow package even though it was advertised as such. DO NOT BUY A USED VEHICLE FROM MUSSELMANS DODGE. read more
