The nail tech wrapped my toes with plastic wrap and the polish was smudged when I got home.

Came here for a pedicure on a quiet Friday afternoon. We sat in massage chairs while we got a scrub and some TLC for our feet. The staff were friendly but the nail tech insisted on wrapping my feet in plastic wrap to protect my nails from scratches. Ironically when I got home, my feet were smudged. I wouldn't even pay $1 for a smudged pedicure, but this cost $25.

Had a shellac manicure, regular pedicure and eyebrow threading at affordable prices. I really enjoyed the service here. The ladies are very nice, efficient, quick and detail oriented. My nails were shaped and painted so perfectly and over a week later it still haven't peeled! I often find my shellac nails will start to lift at rhe does within a week but I'm shocked that they are still intact. My eyebrow shape I can't stop raving about. I have an issue where one eyebrow's arch is higher than the other side and no one could ever even it out with me but the girls at Anu were able to on the first try. Overall, the salon was clean when I was there there was a good flow of clients coming in and out for threading and mani/pedi. It'll definitely be my new go-to salon. If you plan on being a loyal client, they also have a stamp card. Tip: save the tax and pay by cash

Service was really nice and price was good but I, for one, will never go back there. Firstly, my shellac manicure took AGES to get done. I had 3 services done and spent over 2 hours at the salon, over an hour of which was spent on my shellac alone.. I'm pretty sure that shellac is supposed to be a quick job.. Oh, and it's not even like it took a long time because they were doing crazy designs and giving it their all - I just wanted one simple solid colour! Bless this girl cause she was so sweet, but she was just terrible at this. Not only did she give me square tips when I asked for round, but she didn't even care to even my nails out to even lengths. My two thumbs, when compared were completely different lengths. Secondly, while applying the Polish, she kept grazing my other fingers and having to re-do them. By the end, there was a dent in the Polish of my right thumb but I didn't say anything because at that point I was just way too late for my plans and I just wanted to get put of there! To top this all off, my shellac manicure had inexplicably chipped about 14 hours later. Within a week my hands were mangled and I was looking desperately to get another application. But not from there. Never from there again.

3 weeks after shellac. Look at how damaged my nails are!!

Went to Anu Beauty Spa to get my nails done for my wedding. Unfortunately my favourite spa was fully booked and I had to choose the closest location. My maid of honour also came with me to do shellac and my husband got a pedicure. This was by far THE worst shellac ever. Despite not having that many customers at that time of the day, they asked one of the least experienced girls to do my nails. She did not feel confident and after hearing it's for a bride, she talked to someone else and asked them to do something else instead. The girl went on to do my husband's pedicure, which turned out to be the worst he got. The lady that did shellac for me (who seemed like was the owner) did a horrible job. The nails looked bumpy and unnatural. She charged extra for French Manicure, and I honestly would have done a better job myself at home. A week later one of my nails broke. It is supposed to last for at least 2 weeks! My nails were so severely damaged that I could not get them done for months, to let them grow and recover from the damage. My maid of honour's shellac lasted less than a week. They started chipping days after getting them done. I will never be back again and I highly recommend anyone who is thinking of going here to choose another salon. TLDR: terrible job. Crooked bumpy nails. Chipped in less than a week even when done by "experienced" staff. Horrible pedicure. Avoid by all means!!!

Wow. I gotta say, this was one of the worst nail salon experience I have ever had (and I get my nails done every two weeks, and have been to dozens of salons around Toronto). Decided to stop by this one as I was short on time and the review was decent. First off, I had bio-gel under my shellac because that's how they did shellac at the shop I went to get my nails done the previous time. My nail tech starts off my soaking my nails, and removing the shellac. She then pushed the shellac off and started her filing process. Only once she was "done getting rid of all the shellac", I turned my hand to check the work so far. She had left patches of biogel still on my nails. I asked her why she didn't remove it, and she told me she thought I would like to keep it on. Now, I don't like to make scenes in public spaces so I asked her why she would think that and that I would of course like it taken off. She then told me it would be an extra $15. At that point, I asked her why, if she knew this was biogel, she didn't tell me from the get-go. She then denied knowing that it was biogel. I didn't want to keep the conversation going for it to lead to an argument so I asked her for the nail file so that I can file it off myself. The owner (Anu) came by at that point and she told me the same thing the technician did, despite my telling her that I was going to file it off myself because I wasn't told of the ridiculous price prior to. I mean, who charges $15 to file off biogel that can be done using a mechanical file?! By the way, I have NEVER had this issue when I went to different salons with the same type of nails. As the owner continued her argumentative tone, I told her I don't want to argue and that it's okay but I just didn't want to spend $15 for something I can spend 5 minutes to do on my own. Remember at this point that nobody cared to tell me of this prior to. She let me file my own nails until i had three left to go and she decided to use the mechanical file to finish it off herself. I guess she felt bad. I thanked her. After this, the technician who worked on my nails in the beginning came back and started to try to push my cuticles completely dry. Of course, nothing was pushed. It was dry. I asked her if she can do actually manicure as I was looking for shellac MANICURE. She told me that they don't use water to soak the fingers for shellac manicure, just their regular manicure. Which is also ridiculous because anyone who knows getting nails done knows that you have to soak your cuticles in SOMETHING for them to PUSH. She got me a bowl of water to soak my nails. Following all that; she started painting my nails. She took her time. I was expecting exceptional painting job cause it took her 30 minutes to finish just the painting/curing process. I've never had this process take more than 15 minutes before. She was moving slow and "fixing" her job constantly by running her finger nails through my cuticles. I didn't think anything of it. I figured, she must be doing a really nice job since she's working so so slow. At my topcoat stage, I checked my nails (I don't like to check my nails every step of the way so as not to pressure the technicians). THERE WAS NAIL POLISH EVERYWHERE. IT WAS ON ALL MY CUTICLES. I asked her how long she's been doing nails for and she said TWO YEARS. At this point, honestly, I was dumbfounded at the horrible experience I had and how untrained their technician of two years was. If you check pictures of some other reviews, you will also see many nails with their cuticles painted (LOL). I should've checked the pictures before heading in... I tipped her (out of courtesy) but told her that I was extremely disappointed and that that was worst nail job I have ever received. She was a nice lady, just terrible at her job. The owner was also very hostile and unaccommodating, much much more so than the technician herself. I'm obviously never going here again. But I honestly wouldn't wish for anyone else to waste $30 to get their nails redone the next day, which is what I need to do now. The pictures I put on here is after I have picked at my cuticles already. I should've taken a picture of it as soon as I got them done but I honestly couldn't bare looking at them that way. It was so embarrassing! I can paint my OWN nails much better than the way it was done.

I do not recommend this salon based on my experience. The lady who did my nails was very sweet, but it took her 1.5 hours to do a shellac removal and shellac change. She cut into my cuticles an excessive amount, where I actually have cut marks 4 days after (see photos attached). She also buffed my nails so very thin, that once I left the salon, they would bend at the slightest touch. My nails have never been so thin, and this was WITH shellac. It's not like my nails are in bad shape, this was my second shellac mani in one year. They were so thin that one nail actually broke almost down the middle. So I went in to fix it and the manager was so rude to me and yelled at me in-front of the whole salon, saying that it was my fault I have thin nails. They only agreed after 30 minutes, to fix the one nail but not put an extra layer on my other nails. I feel bad because the one lady was very sweet but I'm sorry this salon is not professional.

This place is a gem! I was a walk in and I was immediately greeted. Anu took my coat and made me feel welcome. I got a shallac manicure and regular pedicure. And then I also got my brows threaded. My pedicure was awesome. The massage chair was comfortable, I listened to top 40 radio and had my toes polished and pampered. Then the technician (May) did my shallac manicure. I had the CND shallac and the UV lights were from the same company. No fake stuff here. The polish was put on nicely and I had no globs/thick areas. PERFECT. Anu did my brows and even massaged my forehead after. What a nice touch! And the price was so reasonable: $8. I told her she needs a stamp card and she told me after 10 times, just come and tell her and she will do it for free. How sweet! I will definitely keep coming back. And maybe even try other services.

I've been going to Anu two years now and an glad she opened this new aesthetician salon. It's clean, well-equipped and full of friendly staffers. I get Brazilians, mani-pedis and threading on the regular and I love the convenient location. Anu - always smiling - will take care of you!

Love, Love, Love this nail salon! The service was fantastic, considering the reasonable pricing they offer. Had my shellac mani done at 7.15 PM, and was done around 8.30 PM - never had that much time spent just on my nails. I had asked for gold tip and the result was outstanding! The lady who did my nails (should've asked for her name) was definitely a pro. All the ladies there were lovely as well, and it was a great environment to be in. Will definitely be coming back!

job well done! They don't have a wide selection of colours by the way, just basics really

They have amazing shellac, there's this one lady who does it so good! Very neat and close to the cuticle so it doesn't look partial grown out, The only thing though is that I felt the colour on the tips of my nails would wear out a little sooner than usual.. But still worth it Oh and the Tmosphere is cute, ray cool inside and not noisy on the contrary being in such a busy area I actually fell asleep during my manicure, was so relaxing

I adored my brow threading at Anu. The ladies were so kind, the salon was clean and the environment was calm and inviting. They have extremely affordable prices and are serious about providing good services. Can't wait to return in 4-6 weeks. Hooray for a stamp card system!! So cool

Anu did a great job on my shellac manicure. Definitely a go to place for nails. Highly recommended

Truly an unforgettable experience at Spa myBlend!…read more We treated ourselves to the Floating on a Cloud Together experience, which consisted of a 90 minute couples massage and 30 minute private time in the spa room to lounge around, shower/bathe and enjoy the complementary bubbly. Note this experience must be booked over the phone. We were given all day access to their swimming pool, sauna, co-ed lounge and other spa facilities. From the moment we walked in to the Ritz hotel we were greeted warmly and guided towards the elevator at the back of the lobby which leads to the spa located on the fifth floor. After checking in for our appointment, we were given health forms to fill out. Shortly after, one of the spa staff led me to the ladies changing room and gave me a tour of the facilities, and introduced me to my RMT. She noticed my hair was down so she provided me a hair tie before I begun changing into the robe and slippers that were provided. Such detailed oriented service! We were led to our massage room, which was darkly lit. Both our RMTs asked us to pick out of one of the three essential oils for the massage. Then, the foot bath and massage ensued. So relaxing! After this, we were led to the heated massage tables for the full body massage. The temperature can be adjusted if you find it too warm and they are also happy to adjust the volume on the peaceful music playing in the background. Before I knew it, 90 minutes was up. It indeed felt like we were floating on a cloud together in the end. So peaceful and relaxed. Our RMTs brought us glasses of Prosecco and snacks. They advised us the bath takes too slow to draw and showers are ideal if we wanted to take it. I tested out the bath and the water did run too slow. Note if you shower they have the Clarins soap (which I think is different from the regular soap used in the showers in the change rooms). Anyway, we enjoyed our time hanging around after our massage on our own. It was a special experience! Once our appointment was complete, we chilled in the lounge, where they have complementary snacks and magazines for you to read. We brought our bathing suits so we went across to the swimming pool and jacuzzi (which requires an access card from the spa reception). From the jacuzzi you can get a view of the CN tower. We went back to the spa change rooms after to shower, but unfortunately there were no heated towels left in the men's changing room. After the shower there is an area for you to get ready in the washrooms or change room, with a Dyson hair dryer, hair comb, lotion, hair spray, deodorant and more. If you need a straightener or curling iron you can ask the staff. Perfect set up if you're looking to dress up after your spa date! Overall, I highly recommend the spa at the Ritz. It's priced high, but the value and quality of the service you receive makes up for it. Worth going at least once for the five star spa day experience.

For my husband's birthday, I was excited to take him from our home in NYC to Toronto. On our last day there, following so many great reviews online, I booked in advance your spa on 3/4/25. Every other part of our experience in Toronto was beyond exceptional! While the spa itself seemed great and we enjoyed our very expensive massages, I was following all of the spa rules, including bathing in the jacuzzi, sauna, and steamroom area with a bathing suit. After my bathing suit was wet, I used the same bathrobe in the co-ed area that everyone else was using to read with my husband. A woman who works there came up to the public area, where there were several other bathers, about 6 to 7, and spoke very indiscreetly that I had been getting complaints from a fellow spa member. She said it very loudly and aggressively and even though I never broke any spa rules and wasn't at the time of this encounter. I immediately was confused, and asked "wait, someone complained about me or my husband?" I was so confused because I was following the spa rules, and if she had looked at me, she would have seen that I was not naked nor breaking any rules. I started crying immediately out of horror. We had been there for less than 2 hours. I told the staff person we would leave immediately, because of how horrified I was by how I was being treated by her. The staff person said, "I'm sorry," but had taken the tattler's word as fact and did not ask me a single question. making it an extremely upsetting encounter for me. I left to go to the front desk with the person who helped us originally and seemed really nice. I was crying, which I don't usually do. I told her exactly what had happened, that I was following the spa rules and had been "shamed out of the space" pretty aggressively by the woman employee. I explained that it was my husband's birthday and there was nothing relaxing about this, and how much we had paid to be shamed and mistreated despite following every rule. You need to train your staff about privacy and how to handle these incidents. As a fellow clinic and business owner, and any time I have worked for other institutions, my main concern is people's satisfaction. I was crying harder than I have ever cried in public and her main concern was that I pay for the services. Again this reaction shocked me. We were on the street in the cold thereafter for the rest of the day for an inappropriate shaming accusation. The person at the front desk explained that her manager would call me that same day (and never did). I spent the next several calling the manager who never was able to call me back. I am filing a complaint with the Ministry of Public and Business Service Delivery and Procurement. I was frankly shocked by this on every level. --

My first impression is that this is the most legit spa I've seen in Chinatown so far. Even their business card says "accept insurance" on it so someone there must have a RMT license and adhere to the rules enough to keep their license. The other thing that gave me a more elevated impression about Blue Sky is that they have some expensive looking gear in there. Not that I know what it's for but it looks impressive. Now that I've tried reflexology, I'm hooked on that and find it relaxing and a great way to get in the mood for a massage. It helps to be in the right mood for a massage to be effective. If it takes a half hour into the massage to get that way, then that's less time for the massage to do the most good. I had a smartly-dressed more mature woman named Lucy take care of me, and she told me to try and sleep or relax with the reflexology and turned the lights right down to pretty dark which was great and worked a treat. Since they tend to massage up your calves it's almost a good idea to take your pants off, or wear light sweatpants so they aren't fighting their way down during the reflexology. Next the massage and her technique was quite impressive. She wasn't a large person but amazingly strong and could boss my body around without a problem. I appreciated how she could grab a leg or other part and shake it like you sometimes want to shake sense into someone (but can't) and in this case my body needed some sense shaken into it, so wow I'll be considering Lucy as my go-to for the best value in Chinatown massage done right! I didn't see it on the sign in the room, but at the desk they listed a 90-min massage as an option, which would be awesome especially coupled with another 30-min of reflexology beforehand. My appointment was quick, painless, and the scar isn' even comparable. FCP did such an incredible job and I'm so happy I got this taken care of through this clinic!

Not a lot of people were at the salon and my manicure with Tinisha started promptly. Tinisha made great conversation throughout the manicure, first making sure she knew what I wanted, and then proceeded to shape my nails, soak them to soften the cuticles, trim the cuticles, massage my hands, and then apply nail polish and the white tip for the French manicure. The whole process took under an hour. Tinisha was very professional and obviously knows what she's doing. My nails felt so clean and fresh afterwards. I would definitely consider coming back to La Jolie Femme again for not just a manicure but maybe something more as well.

When I told her to fix it she started scolding me for not having even hair. Just mind blown on how horrible the customer service but even worse how bad my hair cut was. Did I mention while I was asking her to fix it her coworker stepped in and told her to just do a full cut wash and style and to charge me another $85 on top because she should not charge me just $30 for 10 mins of work. I'm so sad at what they did to my hair at this salon and I hope no one ever has to experience this. Photos attached!
