Hi! So we don't usually leave reviews, but we both agree this should be something people should be more aware of. Especially on Kauai when a lot of the household pets are usually apart of the family too! We can't explain enough how grateful we found out we had other options. This was actually recommended from a friend of mine that cremated her childhood pet!. My roommate and I love our animals like family, we didn't want to bury them knowing we were moving houses soon. The fact that we are able to keep them and later I turn some of the ashes into a keepsake heals the hurt alittle better. The process was smooth from the moment I contacted her in both cases. She handled the situation with professionalism but it definitely showed she cared and cares about what she does. We got them both back a lot faster than we thought we would and beautifully packed. I hope we won't need to come back for a very long time but if we ever have to it's more than likely we will be returning if something does happen!

PLEASE DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!! VERY TRAUMATIC EXPERIENCE!!…read more I had my cat in a basket and covered with a blanket, tucked the best I could handle. I was scolded for not having her completely wrapped. The pick up lady then picked up my cat and the blanket while complaining about not wanting to wrap her then proceeded to say she feels like she weighs more than 10lbs and I will have to pay the difference if the scale procves she weighs more. Incredibly inconsiderate. Horrible experience. All of this was said in front of my 9yr old daughter as well. Very unprofessional and rude. ***After the owner/driver saw my review, she brought my deceased cat and dropped her off in front of my garage after having her for 24hrs. She smelled really bad and if I wasn't home and didnt check why the dogs were barking, she would have been laying in the hot sun possibly for hours*** PLEASE REVIEW THE ATTACHED TEXT MESSAGES AND PHOTOS. AGAIN, PLEASE DO NOT TRUST THESE PEOPLE WITH YOUR PETS!!

Absolutely Horrible Experience - Unprofessional, Rude, and Zero Compassion DO NOT RECOMMEND!…read more If I could give zero stars, I would. We paid online for pet cremation services and were given a confirmed pickup time of 12PM -1 PM. Instead, the woman showed up at 11:20 AM, over 40 minutes early, and then acted upset and inconvenienced that we weren't home yet. We were already in Kapolei and told her we could be back up Makakilo in five minutes. When we arrived, she stood outside shaking her head angrily, and the first thing she said was, "You know I've been waiting." She then complained about how she had other pickups in Waianae and how she "drove all the way from Honolulu," as if that was somehow our fault. We reminded her she gave us the 12-1 PM window and we had no reason to expect her 40 minutes early. She admitted it was her fault but was still mad that we weren't"ready." When we told her our pet was ready and we would bring him out immediately, she refused, saying she didn't want to wait. Then she yelled, "You know what? I'll refund you. I'm not coming back." and left. As of now, she still has not refunded us, even though she said she would. We're still waiting, and if the refund doesn't come through, we will be reporting her for fraud! After this experience, we looked at other reviews and noticed the exact same complaints: - Rude behavior - No patience - Rushing families - Lying about time frames - Zero sympathy or compassion Dealing with the loss of a fur baby is already heartbreaking. The last thing anyone needs is someone who lacks empathy, professionalism, and basic human respect. It seems like the woman is the owner so If she attempts to dispute this review, I have timestamped video to verify the accuracy of my statements. I timed you at 5 minutes waiting in my driveway.

I heard about Arms of Aloha in passing as others recommended them on various Facebook dog groups that I'm a part of. When my dog was diagnosed with cancer, one thing that popped into my mind was that, if possible, I'd like to let her cross over at home, where she was more comfortable. This thought was even stronger after having visited the vet so many times in the last weeks of her life. I had read up on the literature available on the Arm's of Aloha website (where you can also get an estimate) as well as preregistered. You can also look at their appointments available. They advise on making an appointment at least 1-2 days in advance, especially on the weekends. The hard part is knowing ahead what day that will be. My dog took a turn for the worst one day and I went back and forth on scheduling the only/last appointment available for the next day (appts can be seen/booked online). No one wants to make that call (decision), but it's also painful to watch your beloved friend suffer. They do have a thorough cancellation policy you can read online and I decided I'd book the last appointment to secure it and I could always cancel/reschedule more than 8 hours out. In the confirmation email, there is a link to a video to watch of the Doctor describing the process so you're familiar - I'd recommend this if it is your first time through this. I guess because it was already the next day, they called me shortly after to confirm my appointment. I could barely get the words out the confirm but I never felt judged by the person on the phone. The morning of the appointment, I received an invoice in my email. They suggest taking care of it ahead of time as doing it in the moment with so many emotion is harder. I appreciated this detail and was able to get it out of the way. At our scheduled appointment time, Dr. Naun came to our house. She has a calm and peaceful energy to her. She had some further paperwork for me to sign then we started the process. It was peaceful, and of course sad, but Dr. Naun brought comfort to the situation and we're so grateful for a service like this. We chose to have our dog's ashes returned to us and about a week later, we received a beautiful urn and our paw prints. With the service, they have a chaplain who you may access to talk to if you need help. I did not use it but they do also offer at home palliative care.

The price is very reasonable and the pets are allowed to roam all day which I like so that they are not cooped up in kennels for part of the day. My dog is a rescue dog, and he is very shy and I had not had him long when I needed to board him, and I found Deirdre at pampered pets and I cannot say enough good things about her. She is professional, courteous and treats your pets as if they were her own. She goes above and beyond. She kept me updated while I was away with pictures and how he was doing. I cannot recommend pampered pets enough. The office contact is quick and easy, and the price is so reasonable for what you get compared to doggy daycare places on the island. The pets at pampered pets will be in small groups and get the love and care that they deserve. Any time I go out of town, I will use pampered pets/ Deirdre.

Each time we came back from vacation in the past, he was depressed and would hide for 1-2 weeks. When we picked up our baby from Deirdre - he was so cheerful and happy! He had been housed with a cockatiel for company the entire time. He wasn't sad or depressed at all - there was no adjustment period. He seemed eager to tell us all about his new friend and all his good experiences. It was obvious they took excellent care of him and made him feel taken care of and safe. They sent us photo updates on him periodically. We will most definitely be bringing him back to pampered pets each time we go on vacation from now on!

Joey was in and out of this hospital through some very serious moments. He had to be induced many times, undergo emergency procedures, and face situations where I truly didn't know if I would get more time with him. And every single time, this team showed up--with skill, urgency, and unwavering dedication. They didn't just treat him... they gave him more life. Because of them, Joey lived to 15 years and 2 months--time I know I wouldn't have had otherwise. That is something I can never repay. But what truly sets this hospital apart is their compassion. Every doctor, every technician, every staff member treated Joey like he was their own. And they treated me with such kindness and patience through every high and every devastating low. When it came time to say goodbye, they handled his final moments with a level of grace and humanity that I will never forget. There was no rush, no clinical coldness--only quiet compassion. They made space for love, for dignity, and for a peaceful goodbye. In the middle of the hardest moment of my life, they created something that felt gentle... and even beautiful. Joey wasn't just a patient there. He was known, he was loved, and he was fought for. And I will be forever grateful to this team for giving me the gift of more time with my boy--and for helping me say goodbye to him in the most compassionate way possible. Thank you, from the bottom of my heart
