Our ohana went to many clinics on island but none could top this clinic. We first trusted Kauai vet a few months ago with our 12yo old lady Brindle/Blue pitbull named Fatgirl, this clinic provided the most reliable and optimal care for our fatgirl who was going through a rough time dealing with the symptoms of her cancer. They helped us put fatgirl to rest and took very good care of us giving us MANY options, treating us with aloha, patience and compassion. Kauai vet clinic doctors AND staff took very good of our old lady and just met our Fatboy for the first time yesterday with the same care and attention. Their emergency fee is also a lot cheaper than most clinics. We will continue to trust kauai vet as they've been really good to us and our fur babies. This is my puppies paw! I took her for a quick check up to schedule her to be spayed and this new…read morevet just grabbed her and started hacking her nails to bits without even consulting me. Both paws are bleeding. He then blamed me for holding her wrong. I said we are leaving immediately and his only response was "you still have a bill to pay". She has been to the groomer within the last 4 weeks and did perfectly. The vet chopped all her nails past the quick before I knew what was happening. If they can't manage a simple nail trim (that wasn't needed) I would never trust them with anything else! She is also now traumatized so going to a new vet or the groomer could be a future issue. They took him in the back for about 10 minutes and they came out saying he was totally fine and they didn't know what was wrong with him besides his butt was definitely swollen, they gave me meds and told me to give them to him for 8 days and he'd be fine he was just in pain, charged me $200 and he died this morning it has been the 7th day. I don't know what to do.
