I paid the owner cash up front for three months membership, I showed him my drivers license and signed a list of basic rules and regulations. Standard procedure. The times I go, I have seen many shady people around the property and handful of shady gym members as well. One day this week a guy came in after he sat in the parking lot for 30 min, after everyone left but me, he came in, he had on a heavy trench coat, a hat and dark sun glasses on a sunny day. We were alone in the gym, I left immediately. For the most part it has been an ok experience. Until I went recently and the owner was there. I waved a friendly hello, he looked at me like he saw a ghost. I was there about an hour. After the owner walked by me several times looking at me like he wanted me to leave, he finally walked up to me and asked me how I got in & what is my name. I reminded him that I paid him cash for a membership for three months. He asked me to step outside and re scan my key fob so he can make sure ... .... .... Which of course I did. He says ok ok and walks away quickly. I went to his office that he ran to and asked was everything ok, was my membership ok, he said yes it is showing he never turned around to acknowledge me. Rude! I left right away. He was very unfriendly. This is after a 20 something guy was in there obviously recording people working out on his phone and laughing. If you want to grow your business maybe take better care of the people that choose your facility!

Here is the reality of how George Shami and his management team (Osciel and Milos) run this business: The "Blind" Contract Trap: During sign-up, they force you to provide your signature on a tiny Verifone payment terminal screen. It is physically impossible to read the 10-page contract or the "E-SIGN Consent" you are actually agreeing to. What are they hiding? A massive liability waiver where you sign away your rights if you are injured or killed due to their negligence. On top of that, they refuse to provide a copy of the contract within the legally mandated 15 days--it took me months of demanding it to finally get mine. Forced Privacy Violations: They unilaterally breached their own contracts by disabling physical entry cards and key fobs (putting up a "Scan Cards no longer work" sign). They now force members to download a third-party app, outsourcing your real-time access data to a foreign call center in Texas, USA, just to unlock a local door. Massive Safety & Night Access Hazards: The app is incredibly buggy. I have personally witnessed members--including a distressed woman at night--stranded outside in the cold because the scanner crashed. Since the gym is unstaffed overnight, their "safety protocol" is a sign telling you to call a number that goes to voicemail, or hope a lone janitor hears you. This is a terrifying fire code and life-safety hazard. Zero Accessibility: The facility is a nightmare for accessibility. The entrances involve steep staircases and heavy manual doors with ZERO automatic push-buttons (Power Door Operators). Forcing patrons to balance on a staircase while using two hands to scan a phone app and pull a heavy door is dangerous and discriminatory. Bribed 5-Star Reviews (Astroturfing): Ever wonder why they have so many 5-star reviews? The management actively coerces people during sign-up to leave a positive Google review. They even run promotions offering a direct financial bribe: leave a 5-star review and bring friends, and they will waive your ~$60 Semi-Annual Gym Improvement Fee. It is deceptive marketing at its finest. Save your money, protect your privacy, and prioritize your safety. Take your business to a gym that actually respects BC consumer laws and building codes.

Gym has lots of room and great equipment. The infrared sauna is great to just unwind and relax as well as the high end tanning booth to give my pasty body some color. Cool , friendly atmosphere and always someone around to help and answer questions if you need them. Not overcrowded like the "Big box gyms" and they also have spas services for the ladies downstairs.

Disappointed that people still see fit to sit on the machines and play/text on their phones and when told to get off the machine their excuse is "I'm working on the machine". To which I reply. "No you aren't. You've been busy texting for the last 5 mins." Perhaps a "No texting/playing games whilst using machines" sign would be a good idea.
