I have been a member of this gym since 2021 on a month-to-month agreement. Unfortunately, over the past two years, the gym has really gone downhill. I requested to freeze my account on November 2025 for surgery, and there was so much back and forth with nothing being done on my account. What a waste of time! The manager at the time, Alex, told me it was taken care of and not to worry. He said that I would get an email... that email never came in, so I started calling the gym constantly. No answer. However, I was still charged the following month because the freeze was never entered into the system. After dealing with that, I decided to cancel my membership due to the ongoing administrative issues and just lies. It took three months to resolve a simple freeze and cancellation. Communication was very difficult, and getting clear answers or assistance was frustrating. I would call the gym and no callback. Apparently, Alex does not work there and the Area Manager is out of touch when it comes to customer relations. If you decide to join or make any changes, make sure everything is documented and follow up directly with ABC Fitness Solutions (their billing company) if needed (the agent was in Asia). I hope they improve their management and service for the community. It used to be a nice gym, even though it had/has a rat infestation in "The Yard" and toilet issues. I want to start by saying that the staff here are wonderful they are not the issue. I was a member of this gym for about two years, mainly because it's within walking distance. Unfortunately, despite that convenience, it has been the least satisfying gym experience I've had. The membership costs over $60 per month, plus an annual fee, which feels difficult to justify given the condition of the equipment. Many of the machines are poorly maintained, frequently malfunctioning, or on the verge of breaking. There is only one StairMaster available, and the air conditioning was out of service for over a month, which significantly affected workout comfort. While chose this gym because it felt more private and secluded, it's became difficult to get an effective workout due to the ongoing equipment issues. Overall, the pricing does not align with the quality or maintenance of the facility. I am now going to crunch in west hills paying the same price with well working equipment and more than one stair master . I understand anytime fitness is on the smaller side and can't fit a lot inside but they could least have quality items and get rid of some of the machines no one cares for . read more

I learned about Anytime Fitness on Instagram. They had talked about their six week challenge. I had an orientation set for today at 9 AM and Abel was able to assist me while the manager was on his way. I really do appreciate the tour he gave me and the gym is pretty big. They have an outside, a studio, and their normal gym. He taught me about calorie deficit and gave me my BMI and body fat percentage. This is really helpful so I can learn what I needed to work with to be healthier. He even told me about this app that I can use and gave me a lot of great information about how to get abs. I highly recommend having able as your trainer. It is an open parking lot so it's very easy parking here and you can choose between 5 AM and noon or 3 PM and 7 PM depending on the trainer you work with read more

I really hate to be the type to leave bad reviews on the first visit, yet here I am. I recently moved to the valley and decided to try out the gym here. Upon arriving I realized the gym has no AC, which I get it's California but I've yet to encounter another location that didn't have AC, even in Alaska they have it. Secondly the equipment is VERY limited, what they do have all seem to be in poor repair. Many machines were broken. This seems like the kind of spot where people just let their friends come in behind them instead of it being all paying members. I responded back to him that his first responsibility is towards his own patrons who have joined and wrote -ve (negative) review on Yelp for this business and respond to them instead of reaching out to patrons of other buinessess who has received -ve review from their own customers. If you have any issues and you want to call them and figure it out over the phone their "manager" will always be either in the bathroom or out "for a moment" and they will give you a call back as soon as they're back. The call will never come, and if you want to wait for the manager on the line they'll make sure they put you on hold and hang up on you after. The staff at this location are one of the youngest yet most professional and motivational that I've experienced at any gym. Alex the general manager is so mature, engaging, and very goal oriented, He takes the time to understand your needs and personality. Jonathan who's one of the coaches there has a great personality and is super helpful with getting your body where you want it to be. As a new member, I was quite impressed with the selection of gym equipment they're able to pack in a relatively compact space. I really got a good vibe from the first two interactions I've had with the staff! Christina was great with helping me sort out my membership issues, and I was quite impressed with my initial fitness consultation with Lulu. Having someone who clearly doesn't work out push a $600 training session is garbage. I get it, it's a business, but come on, you have to do better. After they tell you no numerous times, and after the last no, you cut the conversation and just say, ok, I guess we're done here, and that's all you say? Nothing else after that? Your average/ mediocre gym - has basic equipment and it's not clean but not horrendously dirty either. I do feel a bit claustrophobic here with the equipment so densely packed together. 1 of 2 ellipticals is malfunctioning and it's been that way for a long time so everyone waits for the one that isn't rickety which is super annoying. Women's restroom has a sewage smell and it's not the cleanest. Scum and build up in the sink at all times. Not a pleasant gym to attend, but unfortunately it's the most convenient. read more

Also, great crowd levels, this place is a fraction as crowded as Golds Northridge which is basically unusable with the amount of people there. Cons: For serious lifters, this place lacks a lot of equipment. Needs more variety of leg exercise machines, preacher curl machines, lower back, etc. Also repairs take forever. A leg press machine was under maintenance for months before it was repaired. Also men's bathroom is hideously filthy. As I'm writing this review at the gym now - only one urinal which has been out of service for over a month and one stall that often is covered with splattered sh*t and p*ss. Beware! Cleanings are non-existent on weekends. Management - do better! Your clients deserve basic hygiene when paying the monthly fee for this gym which is higher than many other places in the area. read more

Missing speciality equipment but has all the basics you will need. Bad: - Equipment is always broken and takes months to repair; not properly maintained or cleaned. - Equipment is getting run down and really showing its age. - No investment toward new or renewed equipment. - Place is dirty, especially at night. - I can't say definitively, but most likely got a fungal skin infection due to the unclean equipment - Bathrooms are like a nightclub or bar bathroom with how disgusting it is; flooded and trash everywhere. - Poor hygienic standards - Gym wipes are not always available. - No towels in the evening or weekend. - Random towels, bottles, dirty clothes littered everywhere. Trashcans are overflowing. - Rats. - Homeless and junkies outside, especially at night (the train station is across the street) - The owner Charles is weird and has a creepy Filipina fetish lol. He didn't even pay his 80 year old mother who kept the place clean at one point. Shameful. - Questionable members. Like transients that come just to use the bathroom and shower or sleep on one of the chairs. - Too many people cheat and enter the gym at the same time with only one membership. I see a lot of girls sneaking in their boyfriends. - Summer temp is way too hot to workout. Even at night. Seems like the temperature is set to 85 or higher. It gets really stuffy in there during the summer. Tldr; For double the price, given that it doesn't have the quantity or variety of equipment as a big box gym like 24 hr fitness, you expect a more personalized experience or better customer service. At the very least, hygienic and clean, but there really is no difference between here and a big box gym. Best gym in the valley!! I've literally been to almost every gym in the valley (see photo below) and this one has become my home away from home. Almost like a sanctuary where I can receive my daily dose of iron therapy...so what makes this place so awesome you might ask. Here's a few highlights: -Low to moderate gym traffic so you can complete your workout without having to wait for weights/equipment -Gym is always clean and they have implemented reasonable COVID-19 safety measures -They have an outdoor area to train, along with equipment to help improve athletic performance that is not found in commercial gyms -If your a gym noob they have all the resources to help you get started on your fitness journey (Personal trainers, workouts, accountability, diet, consultation) This is just a small piece of the pie tho... The best part about this place is definitely the staff and the welcoming ambiance that they have created here. Charles (the owner) is always looking for ways to constantly improve the gym. The office manager Christina always has a positive, cheerful attitude and is always ready to assist you with any questions/concerns you may have. The other staff members are friendly and can be seen helping others out. You can tell they genuinely have a passion about helping people reach their goals and it shows in their attitude. They have created an environment where you don't feel like just another number, but rather like you are part of a team. This is a very chic gym with one main double door entrance and staircase or handicapable ramp. The layout is very spacious with an outdoorsy feel. It's eye catching yet tile rock wood modern decor minimalist and they don't seem as busy as neighboring locations during peak hours (4 to 7). Took a second to get use to the "cardio" area, which I loved. I was impressed by plenty of new up to date equipment. Each part of the gym has a department store-esque sign above it to showcase what areas you're targeting. Definitely want to try out the row machine since I've yet to come across one at any Anytime location. Big screens throughout with current news, sports and lighthearted tv. The studio is a great size though a little smaller than the one in Tarzana (my usual anytime). The offer classes everyday it seems, usually not until early evening (6ish) if you want to use the studio or sign up... The bathrooms are super clean and nice and also include one huge shower room and some modern pluses... Tv in here as well. Parking is pretty abundant as this plaza is large with fun shops, familiar stores and restaurants about. Only a 10 minute walk from and to the Chatsworth orange line station. Small Notes: I do wish the had bigger cubbies or small lockers since I always have my duffle with me at the gym and usually metro over. The cubby area are slightly above medium size metal baskets which you can lock. I split the contents on my belongs into two of them. Cool outdoor patio training area... But only open during staff hours which I guess end at 4/5 since I was there around 440ish and it was already locked. Definitely will be back again soon read more

Was stuck to this gym for a year unfortunately. For what you pay monthly you'd expect the equipment to be up kept and in usable condition. Some equipment there are worn down to the point where you can no longer get a full range of motion .. So it was always hard to get a good workout there. Even after bringing it to their attention they were still not willing to resolve this issue. I was happy to know my contract was finally ending but, contract states you must cancel a month prior in order to not be charged. I was unaware of this. So a heads up to anyone this may be a help to, be sure to cancel ahead of time even if your contract is up. I'm stuck being charged an entire other month after the end of my contract. It's unfortunate for me to admit but customer service there was poor. Feels like they could care less about the satisfaction from their customers. My family and I have been looking around for a new gym and we stumbled upon anytime fitness. If you haven't been there yet you should go and try it out. Especially now with all of the safety protocols in place for Gyms. Anytime fitness has always had the best cleaning standards in place, it's just more noticeable now and of course now as a consumer I appreciate it much more. My family and I are able to work out here in comfort and not worry about everything else going on in the world. The gym has an Air Filtration System that kills bacteria/viruses in the air and on surfaces, touch less faucets/soap dispenser, added wipe/ hand sanitizer stations and gosh know what else I haven't seen yet! The staff is amazing, knowledgeable, patient and kind! Our son has been working out with a personal trainer here and is loving the tips and the work out!! Cheers to everyone at AF! read more

I am a senior citizen, and decided to go with this gym again with my senior Medicare pass. I had previously been with them under a different owner, but the new owner could care less about honesty. Since I was getting a free membership and needed some personal guidance, I decided to enroll in a private training session, and was given a special price of four sessions for $60. I had been happy with the trainer, but during the holiday, I was overwhelmed with some personal stuff and couldn't come in. I told them not to charge my card, because I wasn't coming in for the personal sessions. I decided to restart the sessions and last week on January 6th, I called and spoke to the manager, Jason, to charge my card the $60 to restart the sessions. I started my first session on January 8 and didn't check my debit card until that night and the sickening gym charged my card three separate charges on January 6 and one charge on January 8. I was so outraged and immediately reached out to the office. Jason said he "would see what he could do". What the heck is that about? You illegally charged my card for three additional sets of sessions when I only approved of one set of sessions!!!! This is outrageous,and I have already put in a dispute with my credit card company. He claimed he couldn't do anything and that the vice president had to take care of this. Well, how come it was so easy to charge my card but not take care of reversing those charges? Supposedly this VP, Peter, was supposed to contact me, and as of Saturday, he has not bothered to reach out to me. I would have never bothered to waste my time with this gym, because I had already had a bad experience a few months ago with them. The previous owner of this gym really ran a great place, not so now. I joined nearly two years ago and cancelled. They were supposed to refund my $1200 from personal training and never did. I just found out that they have been billing one of my credit cards for the last two years!!!! Plus, they refused to honor the money they owed me which I have proof of in text chats with them. I am now dealing with corporate (since this is a franchise) and if that doesn't pan out them I am going to have to take this locations owner, the past owner (Charles), and corporate to small claims court. They are threatening me to cancel (again) and pay for the last month or two of dues (I cut my credit card off) or else they will send it to collections (and screw my credit).
