This has been my favorite PF lately, but I ironically got ringworm on my hands and arm, and ended up taking a week off from the gym and treating Frustrated and not knowing how or where I could have gotten it and didn't want to believe it was the gym since I'm pretty meticulous about cleaning my machines before and after me. Tell me why I see them refilling the cleaning bottles with fabuloso. Not even the antibacterial fabuloso, just straight all purpose cleaner. Most gyms use virex or facilipro, because you need a cleaner that is actually going to CLEAN bacteria and prevent infection. I'm beyond disgusted and frustrated. Bathrooms are also cleaned with regular fabuloso. They now have gotten new equipment and reorganized and it makes 0 sense, there's no room, the machines and equipment is too compacted together, there's no flow. Barbell racks 1 inch away from ab machines so nobody can get to the barbells if someone's on a machine, or run the risk of hurting someone. The staff also does nothing to stop people from vaping INSIDE the gym. I watched a girl hit her vape multiple times, blowing clouds, on the STAIR CLIMBER right next to the front door, nobody said a word. This gym was good while it lasted :( read more

I am conflicted as this gym is usually pretty clean and has good customer service. They have a few extra amenities that I haven't seen at other PFs. However, I was taking a shower at this location and the curtain was ajar and I could see into the locker room if I moved closer to the shower head. Halfway through my shower I noticed an older gentleman (employee) walk through the locker room space and looked over to the showers. He made eye contact with me then looked away. At no point did a female employee come in to let us know that a male was coming in. This felt extremely violating. read more

Wow! I've belonged to this gym for 6 months now, and they do not disappoint!!!! Everyone here at the front desk continues to be so nice and welcoming!! And guess what?!? Just a few days ago, they have added new machines and OMG...I love!! They have added a new Leg Curl machine too, which is awesome, only thing is I wish it was the one that came with elbow pads(section will you can place your elbows), because when my head faces downward I get dizzy. But that doesn't subtract my 5 stars here, it's minor. Now there are more Stair Masters(I think that's the name), weight machines and Glute Machines! Love love love! The main thing is the workers here are super nice and helpful and they engage with you!! Love how they provide paper towels and spray cleaning thing so you can wipe down the machine. read more

Great experience here! Clean space, organized equipment, and welcoming energy. I enjoyed starting with the hydromassage. Shivaan gave a clear and friendly orientation, and Maryam was so kind and supportive from the call to when I arrived -- both truly caring and professional. They deserve holiday pay raise soon & special award! I also had fun with the box jump station -- it was unique and brought some playful energy into my workout. Very disappointed with this Planet Fitness location. In the women's locker room, only 1 out of the 4 shower stalls was working properly. The other 3 had such weak water pressure that it was basically just a mist. It was impossible to take a normal shower. Functional showers are a basic expectation at a gym, especially after a workout. Good for you if you're on a fitness journey but god forbid you ever try and end it, it will be a bad bad time. Loved this place until we moved and have "cancelled" twice now This place is like a virus on your credit card statement- be prepared. The price changes and not reading the fine print is my fault. When I did go I liked the water massage beds. Place was clean and chunky friendly and staff was nice until you try and break up with them and they pretend to forget or not honor it. GET A SIGNED DOCUMENT The ultimate sketchy part is they change the name on your statements so you can't just search "planet fitness" when you try to argue the bills or set an alert... it's a bunch of different iterations of abbreviations. I love this gym! I've been to several gyms and didn't feel as comfortable and welcomed here. I'm pretty new to fitness in general, and the environment here is so nice for newbies! The staff is very kind, I've liked all the ones I've interacted with so far. They say hi when you walk in and are generally all very kind people so they do a good job with hiring helpful and nice people. The place is always very clean and I've never felt like it was busy. I've come at various times like 7am, 11am, 2pm and 8-10pm and it's never been that busy. I always get the machines I want to use and the only thing I've ever waited for is the massage chair. The layout of the gym is very nice too. Previous gyms I've been to left me feeling a bit discouraged or unwelcome for being new and a bit unaware of how to use things, as well as feeling uncomfortable with so many people filming. Here I've never seen anyone film themselves, not that it's a problem, but I do appreciate the generally relaxed atmosphere. The people here are also very kind, as people have helped me understand things and encouraged me without being creepy! For paying only $25 and being able to bring a guest, I've made it a weekly thing to bring a friend for a girly walk & talk which is so much better for my health than getting a sweet coffee somewhere to catch up with a friend. Parking is also great, even if it's busy there's always a spot somewhere. Really love it here! My only negative is that it closes early on weekends :( wish I could come later than 7pm read more

I have been going to this gym for years, and I like it. But I am so sick of people rotting on their phones between sets, especially if someone is waiting. Gym courtesy is hard to find at this place. Perhaps the employees could monitor this a bit more. Walk around. Remind people that they can't just sit on a machine on their phones. And when they do get up, wipe that shit down! I've been here more than a year and had to quit. Why? For jumping rope (which I have done nearly all my work outs). I mind my business and don't interfere with anyone except for when bros are taking video in the restroom which is ok with this place. Same thing with: wearing jeans and work boots, low exposed boxers, pajama bottoms, string tank tops on dudes that sweat everywhere and don't clean it up, taking copious amounts of dumbbells that never get put back, and personal training. All of which violates their policy and NEVER see confronted. But jumping rope. How dare I? At least in Burbank employees actually fill towel holders and put away weights left out by meat heads. I don't need to be looking over my shoulder for when the next employee decides to flex their authority over a cherry picked policy. No wonder this chain has such a bad reputation. read more

After presenting a complaint due to poor service lack of cleanliness and ice cold showers that went on for days, on August 22 2023 I was told not to come back to the Gym or I'll be remove by security personnel in addition my contract was terminated. Come to find out that even though the contract was ended by Planet Fitness Management they kept withdrawing money from my bank account for 15 months after the termination until November 1 2024. Stay away from this gym. They literally try to charge a $20 late fee every single month because their system won't accept my VISA debit card. I used this exact same card (and account routing number) when I signed up and for the first two monthly payments and there was no problem. I used this card at other gyms for automated payments with no problem. But they will only remove one late payment fee as a "courtesy". I even have a dated screenshot showing that I couldn't make a payment manually because there was already one processing but they still won't remove it. This Planet Fitness is nice and well maintained. As it's Planet Fitness, they don't have all the gym equipment others do, but they have everything you need to get a good workout in. The staff is nice and they help keep the gym clean. The members also do their part in maintaining the cleanliness of the gym. What I've liked most is the lack of the typical gym ego here. You feel comfortable while working out no matter your workout experience. Unfortunately due to the hour changes, I'll be canceling my membership here. Chatsworth location on Mason Ave. The temperature is set too high at this gym. I get no response from the owner or management regarding setting the thermostat to a lower temperature. Customers keep complaining that it's too hot inside. It's obviously the strategy of management to keep the gym empty of customers. I have been a member of planet fitness in Chatsworth for over a year! I love coming here they are plenty of machines I like to use! Lots of weight options. They have barcodes that you can scan and it will show you how to use the machine. They have different areas for different workouts. For example stretching and 30 minute cardio areas. They offer a hydro massage bed, tanning, massage chairs, body enhancement machines with Black Membership. I love having access to relaxation options after working out. It is always clean and there are many disinfectant stations with spray and cleaning materials for the machines. The locker room and bathrooms are always kept well and very clean also. I would have given five stars but it is a small gym and some weight machines you sometimes have to wait for. It can be crowded at certain times of the day. Overall memberships are very affordable starting at 10 dollars a month and black with relaxation options is less than $30! I highly recommend joining one of you love near one! read more
