I was in desperate need for a gym to call home. I know myself: I know if the gym is more than 10…read moreminutes away, I will use EVERY excuse not to get up and go. So, with this gym close to my house, I decided to grab a day pass and check it out. First of all, the gym is clean. I've been here many times now (because I definitely grabbed a membership), and it's always clean. I usually see employees walking around cleaning during my time there. While we are talking about employees, they have all been super pleasant with me and eager to help without being overbearing at all. They don't hover, but they definitely get you whatever you need. I've only seen one weight machine out of order, and it was back in service in 2 days. That's ALL the machines, to include cardio, benches, cables, etc. One machine in the entire building being down in a month of going 6 days a week is pretty great. I love they offer red light therapy and hydromassage. I've definitely used them both many times! I'm very happy with this gym. It's not super huge, but it's also not super intimidating. It has what I need it to. What else matters?

They just take you to a large screen and apparently there's no tags to get in our out they don't go over this process with you I had to ask. Just very bizarre the whole process is done by a computer.

I think I've been here enough times to give this place a review…read more I recently moved to the area and was looking for a new gym. I know there's a lifetime nearby too but it's so ridiculously overpriced and I don't use all the amenities to validate going there (having been a previous member). I love that wild horse is just a 6 minute drive from the house. It's usually the hardest part of going to workout - getting there, but it's so easy and there's always a parking spot open close to the door (since weather is in single digits!!) I'd say I go during odd hours since I have a hybrid work schedule. 11:30-2pm have 12+ people but it's never too crowded that I have to wait for a machine to be free (excluding today where everyone collectively decided to workout arms like me!) and 4-6p is when it gets a little busier, I bet due to people getting off work and wanting to get their workout in. Machines are clean as well as locker rooms. Towels are always available once you walk down to the floor or hit up the locker room to put your stuff away. There are cubbies where you can quickly stash your belongings as well. There are also jacket hooks in the locker room for colder seasons. The staff are all nice and friendly! The members are too! There's a wide array of machines for every muscle or variations of ones you've probably seen at other gyms. A ton of life fitness machines, free weights, cables, treadmills, ellipticals, stair masters, you name it, they've got it! Couples membership is around $130/month plus $100~ sign up fee Worth it to stay or get in the best shape of your life!

They're great for stretching, yoga, barre, and are typically not crowded. You should definitely check out this gym! Ps the patio is great!

For nearly $400 a month, I expected a premium fitness club--not an employee-led scavenger hunt…read more Sharon, a personal trainer at LifeTime Fitness in Frontenac, apparently believes that returning equipment to the place it belongs is just a fun suggestion. Members spend enough time working out without having to tour the entire gym looking for equipment that was left somewhere else. When I mentioned that the equipment should be put back where it came from, Sharon's professional response was to tell me to "mind your own business" and that "it doesn't matter" where the equipment is returned. Interesting philosophy. I wonder if LifeTime feels that way, too. You can almost understand when an occasional member leaves equipment lying around. But when it's an employee--someone who's literally being paid to teach good habits--it's a masterclass in hypocrisy. Maybe the next training package should include a session called "How to Return Equipment 101." It's a short class: pick it up, walk it back, and put it where you found it. For a club that markets itself as a luxury fitness experience, I'd expect trainers to set the example--not encourage members to lower their standards. Apparently, "mind your own business" is now considered customer service.
