Don't know what I was thinking only giving the Phsyio group 4 stars. 5 stars all the way! Both sides of the business, PT and physio training, are amazing and work together to maximize your progress and minimize any issues. Started out on the PT side with a torn rotator cup then a hip issue I thought would sideline me forever. A few months later transitioned to the Physio side and it's truly an investment in health, safety and aging even if there are times I leave with jelly legs. My husband goes now as well. Due to complicated health issues, not the least of which was recovery from "reverse shoulder replacement" surgery Aug 2022, I have been under physical therapy treatment at the Physio Shop clinic, Flagstaff. My treatment curriculum has been directed by chief therapist, Jason Dorsch, a highly trained therapist an adhoc instructor with Northern AZ University. As a nurse who spent the last 2 years taking care of other people in the midst of a pandemic, I visited the Physio Shop in March of 2022 not knowing what to expect, but knowing I was ready to make changes and care for myself. What I found at the shop was exactly what I needed; amazing trainers, a compassionate nutritionist, and a multitude of highly-educated therapy professionals ready to help in case of injuries. In less than 3 months of their training program I have lost more than 3 inches off my waist, developed heathy long-term eating habits, and shredded fat while building muscle and tone. I have complained about the vigor the entire time (despite them giving me exactly what I've asked for), and yet the staff have been gracious and supportive as I make myself a well-known pain in the tuchus. From a nursing standpoint, I have observed how the therapists work with the physical therapy patients, and could not recommend them enough. Went in with chronic hip pain for evaluation and physical therapy. After 3 months of therapy and strength training I'm finally pain free and completely healed. The training staff did an excellent job of coaching me through the exercises needed for recovery. They are very encouraging and have created a fun environment for exercising. In Sept. 2017 I tore my right ACL and meniscus for the second time. I began working with Jason shortly after with pre-op PT. I had reconstruction surgery 11/9/18 and continued working with Jason, Nick, and Georgia for about 2 months after. Over the last year I have checked back in for some fine tuning to fix some of the expected side effects that come with ACL surgery. 8 Months post op. I was able to hike down the Grand Canyon to the Colorado river. One year post op. and I just ran my first trail Ragnar relay race and was able to run injury free at a faster pace than I ever thought I could at this point. Right ACL 3.0 is very much a success with a huge thanks to the Physio shop. I've had back problems on and off for years. I finally decided to go to the chiropractor and the adjustments helped at first, but then I was still in a lot of pain! So I went to the Body Shop and Zac Timmons gave me a massage. He was super knowledgeable about the body and actually explained what was going on and causing my pain. He pushed on several pressure points on my muscles and relieved some of the tension there. He also told me how to adjust my posture in such a way that would relieve the pain as well. Zac gave me some exercises to do and demonstrated the correct and incorrect ways to do them! With Zac's help and my continuing efforts at better posture and exercises, my back is SO MUCH BETTER and I was able to hike and be active again this summer!! Thank you Zac, you are awesome!!!!! I had a knee injury for about 2 months that was causing pain when I walked. I had to stop hiking because of the pain. The ortho recommended I do physical therapy before considering more expensive options. After starting PT at Physio, I felt an improvement within a week. My trainer, Kelsey, understood my injury well. I have been going to The Body Shop for almost a year now, and it has completely changed my life. I have had nothing short of a wonderful experience here at the Physio Shop. I was suffering from severe leg/hamstring pain that was undiagnosed for close to a year, in which I couldn't sit for more than 5 minutes without pain. I came to the Physio Shop because of the incredible staff that works there, and they did not disappoint. Each therapist, trainer, and front desk staff gets to know each patient and they work together to make the patient experience top notch. I felt like I was a part of a community every time I walked through the door. Better than the aformentioned experience was the way in which my therapist (Kameron) approached my treatment. It was a holistic program and the exercises/stretches were varied and were not the same thing over and over again that you now find at many physical therapy clinics. I was challenged and given feedback on every exercise, and gradually my pain dissipated over the course of my treatments. The best part of the whole experience- I can now sit without any pain! The team here is pretty dang awesome. I came in bc of some neck/back issues, but mostly because my right leg was going numb and I had no idea why. My chiropractic adjustments alone weren't cutting it, (although, I love my chiro), but I went in to see Jordan. He's awesome, and so are all the interns that work there as well. I saw an improvement within a few weeks, and just finished my treatment... my leg is almost as good as new! I have to admit I'm a little surprised...I had no idea that physical therapy would actually help, and seriously thought it was only for people recovering from surgeries/accidents. I am thoroughly impressed with the Body Shop. I broke my ankle rock climbing in February and went to the Body Shop for physical therapy. I mainly worked with Jason, who was absolutely fantastic. I was interested in the anatomy of my injury, and he explained everything clearly, as well as easing my anxieties about the healing process. Jason worked me hard--but not more than I could handle. When I went rock climbing three months after my injury, I found that I was a better climber than when I had left off, despite not having climbed for so long. My PT is complete but I've decided to continue on with their gym membership. If you are debating, trust me, they're good. I felt like they always had my best interests in mind. I was listened to and always kept in the loop. As a patient, that was very important to me. read more

I have the best to say about this place. I was so depressed, I had just had a grade 2 sprain on my left ankle and had plans to run a 55k in a week and 100 mile race in a couple of months. I was so sad that all the current online data said i needed to stay off my ankle for 6-8 weeks and that all my training and all my muscles will decompensate while I waited for my ankle to heal. However I heard about the PHYSIO SHOP when I ran into a stranger in an elevator who suggested I go to the PHYSIO SHOP. I drove by there that day and meet with Kammeron and set up an assessment appointment. I got in so quickly after my injury. Although I had to cancel my 55k race that was next week, Kammeron told me that I would start aggressively strengthening my muscles around my injury and that i needed movement, contrary to the outdated method of healing a terrible ankle sprain, he wanted me to stop using the boot right away. I was very careful on my surfaces for few weeks but after x3 for 2 weeks I was able to run carefully and at 3 week I ran a 11 mile trail race!!!! Then the remainder of the month long PT I worked on strengthening my entire body and especially areas needed for running. I also worked on an area that always gave me aggravation; my weak hips, since I had hip drop. Wow. that is not a problem anymore since we worked that area hard. Now that my month service is up, I realized I have not only improved my ankle strength but my entire body is stronger than before. I couldn't have asked for a better experience and was treated like an ultra running athlete and those goals where always guiding the PT care at PHYSIO. Now Im back to training for my 100 mile ultra race in January 2022 with a few 55k in-between. Thanks to the PHYSIO SHOP. Also I really really liked Kammeron - he also is a runner and challenged me in my physical fitness. I would greatly suggest meeting with him if you are a runner. read more

Following a sports injury over 40 years ago that included a ruptured ACL and extensive damage and removal of all knee cartilage I was left with a bone on bone knee joint for this span of time. I'm a active person and got to point last fall where severe knee pain was creating a major life style change. After injections of anabolic steroids and a synthetic joint lubricant I was referred to the body shop for PT. Over this past year I worked with several of the staff of the Body Shop Physical Therapy Clinic but was primarily supported by Jordon during my PT treatment. Following this treatment program I'm truly amazed at the return of function, strength and flexibility. I believe that the treatment provided was very effective and has postponed knee replacement surgery for years. I went to the Body Shop after I received a script for physical therapy from my orthopaedic doctor. I had been suffering from shoulder injuries every few months in the same shoulder. My doctor examined me and told me I had a nerve impingement in my shoulder causing the shoulder muscles to weaken leading to the repeated shoulder injuries. I had been to another well known PT location in Flagstaff years before after hurting my back and had an "ok recovery". I count on my shoulders a lot for heavy lifting, so I needed to get my shoulder better than just an "ok recovery". I did some research online and found The Body Shop. I was impressed by the look of the facility and the physical therapist descriptions. I stopped in to check it out first hand and I was impressed right away. This place is serious about physical therapy! Jason evaluated my injury during my first appointment. After about 45 minutes (without an MRI, Xray or any other devices) he concluded that I did have a nerve impingement causing my shoulder atrophy, but that the impingement originated in my neck not in my shoulder as my doctor thought. Jason even told me which two vertebrate the impinged nerve was located between. We started a PT plan that was innovative, progressive and amazingly effective. Jason, Jordan and a few of the very knowledgable interns would guide me through excercises to really strengthen my shoulder and increase stability in my neck. The excercises were much more interesting than I had experienced with physical therapy in the past. I found myself looking forward to the days of the week I went to The Body Shop. My results were great!! In addition, my doctor and an MRI later confirmed what Jason knew in less than an hour in my first day evaluation. My doctor was impressed with Jason's precise diagnosis. I first learned of The Body Shop Clinic when my kids participated in a Baseball/Softball clinic with Monique and Daniel in early 2017. It was awesome because they related to my kids from their own experience in both sports. We all loved the creativity and challenge provided from The Body Shop Clinic. Later in the year I was diagnosed as pre-diabetic and knowing I needed to step up my workouts, I contacted The Body Shop Clinic. After 2 months of daily personal training with Mo and following a nutrition plan provided by him and Rob, I was no longer pre-diabetic! I feel like they truly care about me and my health. All the staff is welcoming and a really fun group! I love the dynamic and unique workouts I receive every day, with something new always being added. I love The Body Shop! After a knee injury I decided to go see Jason for PT. I have had multiple knee surgeries in the past and I was afraid I would be scheduling a 5th soon. After a few weeks of PT I was moving around pain free. I work 12 hour shifts, so to be able to work back to back shifts without pain was a HUGE improvement. I was impressed with how thoroughly Jason explained the nature of my injury and what changes I need to make to start the healing process. I progressed through PT to go on to work with Heidi who is a personal trainer there. Being able to stay in the same facility really helped with my anxieties about working out in a gym. Heidi is very knowledgeable and I really appreciate how she challenges me but keeps the workouts fun. I also see Valerie who is a LMT, she has helped relieve pain and soreness through this process. This place has everything you need to get back on your feet,and get in shape. I love working out there, the staff is very friendly and helpful and the facility is nice. Everyone at The Body Shop is great but Jason is a genius! I am a PT junkie by necessity and he is the absolute best therapist I have ever worked with. I think he is truly gifted. When he asks what is going on he is really listening to design the work out for the day. Jason and Jordan at the Body Shop were nothing but nice and extremely helpful. I went to the Body Shop after a grueling Master's degree had totally wrecked my back and neck. They gave me so many helpful exercises and really helped me improve my posture and eliminate my pain. They also helped me become a better runner and helped me learn to work my outer hips and gluts in order to take the pressure off my knees. I am stronger than I've ever been and I can now run several miles without knee pain. I'm also no longer plagued by constant back pain and have learned how to combat it if it ever returns in the future. Overall, I gained a thorough understanding of how to take better care of my body. I first started going to the Body Shop for a knee problem that I was told had no other solution but surgery. I knew about Rob through my husband, who had had a very successful experience at the Body Shop with resolving back pain. It is not an exaggeration to say that going to the Body Shop has changed my life. Rob and his team don't just focus on the part of your body that hurts; they treat the whole body as a system. Since seeing Rob, I've lost 30 pounds of fat and gained leaned muscle, lost numerous inches, become more athletic than I've been in years, and I even sleep better! The nutritional counseling has helped me incorporate healthy eating for the long-haul, and I'm amazed at how much more energy I have now just by eating right. The clinical massage is an extraordinary benefit that's helped me learn better how my body works and how to better take care of myself, and the massage therapists who work here are exceptional. The best part is - no surgery! I feel like if I had gone elsewhere, I would have ended up doing a lot of leglifts, and not much else.
