Unethical - - DO NOT JOIN THIS GYM Submitted cancellation over 2 months ago and they continue to charge me. My app says I am still a member even though I cancelled over 2 months ago. I took a screenshot when I went in to cancel because other cancelled members told me they would try to screw me. They did. They do not allow you to change your billing info online and force you to come in to the gym to cancel. They will not return any calls. I am filing claim with AG as well as local BBB. Also sicing CitiBank on them with a fraud dispute,. Also reaching out to franchise HQ. Ownership will not call you back - a total sham of an operation. read more

The man who works here is always very nice, but today i walked in and there was a girl working. she was very passive and rude. she kept looking me up and down, also the music was so loud while she's here. It was practically blaring. it wouldn't have been this way with the man here. I've never met this girl before but she took my whole experience and ruined it. So far my experience with Mitch, I believe that his name is it is very positive. He communicate well he assures me. He will get back to me so far he has not disappointed. The facility is clean. It does not smell like dirty the restrooms and showers seem to be clean and well kept. I appreciate that that's open 24 hours since I work nights .plenty of Parking only downside is not much lighting outside. read more

I've been a member of anytime fitness for about eight years and I enjoy the fact that after several moves around the metroplex I am always able to find an anytime gym close to my house. We recently moved back to Granbury so the anytime fitness in town has become my "home" gym again. This one is always clean with nice well working equipment. It's rarely crazy busy which is nice since there is no wait for machines. To me the best benefit of an anytime fitness is the fact that you are able to go anytime so we are not restricted to some of the limited hours that other gyms in town offer. read more

I have noticed some of the old 1 star ratings below and can honestly say this gym has turned around for the better for anyone that wrote many months ago. There is full time staff that cares and has made it better, more equipment, super clean, and I never ever have a problem getting a hold of the owner. The other good thing about anytime is they are literally everywhere so if you travel at all or like to try other gyms out it works everywhere. I have more problems with other owners now requiring stupid pointless masks and gloves and this gym has made it stress free for me during the crazy COVID times we are all facing. During the beginning of covid i tried to get ahold of the company because they were charging me when i could not go called multiple times mail box was filled every time i tried calling all the way up until May so i went through the bank and canceled my membership through my bank i did not get any calls or anything and now the FUCKING gym put a collection out on me and destroying my credit FUCK Y'ALL read more

Things have definitely turned around for the better here. The new staff is always polite and greeting everyone as they walk in. There has been some new equipment added recently which has been nice to use. The staff is always cleaning and taking care of the gym every time I am there. I have used other gyms in the past but prefer Anytime Fitness in Granbury. I highly recommend this place to anyone that is looking for a good clean gym that you can use whenever suits you best! Not too bad. There has been quite a lot of manager turn over since I have been a member (3 years), but it is usually clean and most, if not all, equipment works or seems to be repaired quickly. I have not met one person at the gym that is happy with the gym. All are waiting until their contract ends. There is often allot of equipment broken. The manager turnover is tremendous ..... all the managers say it is because of the owner. READ the contract very carefully .... you will never be able to get out of it. read more

Do not join this gym! Not only do they NOT tell you that you are stuck in a contract but if you come back and want to cancel they say that you signed a contract and they scream at you and call you an "idiot" in front of everyone in the gym. This franchise is so unprofessional! read more

OUTDATED, UNPROFESSIONAL The owner could care less about the gym, she just cares about the money coming in and is to greedy to update and fix this gym with new equipment. Every year you pay a fee to upkeep and get new machinery, yet the gym has remained the same for years since I have been going there-aside from your occasional tacky paint job. Other gyms in the area charge way less and are more updated and have a friendly, well trained staff. There is always a new face in the office due to the fact that the owner hires incompetent office managers that don't know what they are doing. I have tried cancelling my membership due to a move and started the process months in advance. I turned in my written letter, proof of relocation, Signed a piece of paper and have payed the cancellation fee- yet they continue to charge my bank account. Currently I am dealing with them, because they are saying they never got any of the paperwork when I have an email from Jessica Stangenwald saying this: Dear Bryant, Thank you for sending over proof of relocation. We will also need a signed letter for your 30 days notice and a $100 early cancellation fee. You can include billing info for the card you want charged in this email or you can call the club at 817.579.6450 to pay your last month and the relocation fee. If you have any questions, please let us know. Have a Healthy Day, Anytime Fitness Management After I sent over the proof of relocation I drove 2 hours out of the way to go sign this letter of 30 day cancelation notice and pay my 100 fee...yet three months later no one at that club has any clue what I am talking about and no proof of the paperwork submitted or copies of my relocation bill when I clearly have an email from them. Avoid your self the nightmare of signing up with this gym- the trouble you will endure will not be worth the convenience of this gym when there are plenty of other 24 hour gym options around Granbury with friendlier well trained staff. I'm updating my 2 stars to a 1 star. I was told to my face when and if I had to move which I knew I would, that I could cancel anytime without any fees or notice. When I tried to cancel and show my proof of new address they said I had to pay for one extra month and a $138 cancellation fee. The equipment is very outdated and every machine needs wd40. The plumbing is horrible. Do not use this gym if you need to use your phone/internet. They give you a code to log onto their internet but once you are connected you will only get one bar. I wouldn't have signed a contract had I known that. I try and work from the gym on my phone and I can't without Internet. I will never again use an anytime fitness anywhere ever again!!!! read more

Worst gym ever! Apart from the floors being dirty the bathrooms never being properly cleaned (a staph infection for evidence ) they will constantly lie and give you the runaround about canceling your membership. DO NOT let them take monthly payments out because they will never stop. The ABC financial they use could not care less and will harass you for payments. The owner won't let you reach her, corporate can't be reached, the only ppl you can talk to is ABC financial. I have been trying for 4 months to cancel my membership but they keep making excuses. IF you must join this gym I advise you get an attorney for the process as you will need the help. WORST GYM EVER!! read more

There are far better gyms in town. Don't waste your time and especially your money here. Go to one of the other gyms in town where they appreciate you, your business, and give you what you paid for great service, help, and friendly atmosphere. Do not waste your time here. The gym itself isn't that bad. It's a little outdated and small, but the people that work here/own this franchise are complete idiots. They will charge you for "audit reasons" and then when you have proven a point that it was an unauthorized charge and that you owed no money, they will still not refund your money. They called me a liar and said I owed them money and so they just decided to charge my Debit card without telling me and then when I had proof that the payment I "owed" them was paid A YEAR AGO. It has taken me A MONTH to get told I should receive a refund because they were wrong, and yet still no refund. It's unprofessional and ridiculous to be charged without notice and being accused of lying. read more
