Fitness gyms are in no short supply these days, as you can seemingly spot one every few blocks in the Las Vegas valley. With so many options to choose from, relying on reviews becomes of utmost importance. It will be important to use this review in conjunction with reviews from other locations, as a tool to narrow down which Anytime Fitness you'd like to join. They are all nuanced with differing amenities and features undoubtedly suited for quite the range of personnel. I first experienced Anytime Fitness in 2022 when my extreme irritation with overcrowded gyms reached a fever pitch level. In addition to a less crowded environment, Anytime Fitness offers one glaring amenity hinted by its name. It's open twenty-four hours a day, 365 days a year, including holidays. With four locations in Las Vegas alone and 2,806 locations across all fifty states, the combination of numerous locations and hours of availability rank high on the initial customer service seduction scale. I've been reviewing gyms for decades. I grew up working out with my parents using several different gyms, implemented numerous rigid workout plans in the military, and have been a member of no fewer than 20 gyms in my fitness journey. I've seen well maintained gyms as well as holes in the wall that are called gyms. My fitness background combined with a diverse gym experience will guide you to making the best choice of gym to belong to. Upon entering Anytime Fitness on Horizon Ridge Avenue in Henderson, Nevada, you are greeted by smiles and salutations from the friendly staff. Whether they say hello while sitting at their desk, or during your workout, it is bound to happen at some point before your workout is over. I arrived just the other day and the staff were busy with a group class which was offered every day of the week. Even though the staff were busy, they still managed to waive to me as I passed by the group class. This gym takes pride in the things that matter. The equipment is clean and well maintained. The bathrooms, showers, and common areas are cleaned daily while the crowd level is always at manageable levels. I've been attending this gym for four years and have yet to wait for a piece of equipment. Personally, the hours of operation are the most attractive quality of this gym. I never have to worry about whether the gym is closed because it is never closed. It's open all day, every day, and on holidays. While all locations of Anytime Fitness are not staffed after normal business hours, safety may be your first concern. The entrance to the gym is controlled by an application on your smart phone. Only members have access during normal and after hours. In addition, the gym is equipped with a wall mounted safety button that automatically calls 911 if you ever feel your safety is in question. For immediate health concerns, there is a defibrillator available as well. The gym is located in a nice part of town where crime rate is low. Having the aforementioned safety features in addition to a low crime rate make the business hours more enticing from a safety standpoint. I briefly mentioned the condition of the equipment. It is also important to discuss the type of equipment available. This location affords a very accommodating free weight area. The dumbbells range from five pounds to one-hundred pounds. These are weights that not only satisfy your regular gym goer but also limit the fanatics from joining this gym. I realize it's a valid concern to be working out with giant men who are trying to push the limits of what a human body can do while juiced up on any and every performance enhancing drug. I get it; that can be very intimidating. This gym is designed to welcome the regular fitness seeker with a welcoming, motivating, and comfortable atmosphere. In addition to the dumbbell range, Anytime Fitness has three free squat racks. In my experience squat racks have always been the bottleneck at every gym I've been to. With this gym being smaller, having three squat racks is a phenomenal member to squat rack ratio. Other gyms that are much larger only have one squat rack. If free weights aren't your favorite workout medium, this location offers several machines to target every body part. The machines are also arranged in a manner suitable for circuit training. Cardio options are also available with treadmills, stairmasters, rowers, ellipticals, stationary bicycles, and rope simulators. If all of that doesn't suit your fancy, as mentioned, group classes are offered daily. These classes are instructed by the well-informed staff in a motivational and safe manner. The classes vary every day to preclude any sort of monotony accruing, while maintaining your focus and determination to achieve your goals. Clay is absolutely unprofessional. I had brought in a guest and did not know we were not able to bring someone in. He had txted me an extremely passive aggressive text message letting me know the time I came in (7:22PM) & that I'll be charged $15 and if it continues they'll cancel my membership. Although, I completely understand the rules, the way Clay texted me could've been much more professional and not passive aggressive. Here's a suggested text message to send to your members to keep that member retention! "Hey you warrior! We understand that fitness is for ALL but just a gentle reminder that guests are not allowed during non-staffed hours as they will need to pay a $15 day pass fee. The more the merrier of course, but if this continues we will need to cancel your membership which we don't want to do. Thank you for your understanding" You're welcome. The owner is SO COOL! Always welcoming whenever I walk into the gym. I wish I had his contact info so I could let him know what kind of staff he is hiring. Anyway. To the owner, you are awesome dude but get please have some set templates to send to members for cases like this. To respond to Jack Hart: Just an FYI, before I had said that, Clay disrespectfully disrupted me and said "Consider your membership cancelled". While fighting with fire isn't the way to go, he was disrespectful to begin with to a member which you shouldn't tolerate either, right? Thanks. It's extremely inappropriate and immature to hang up on members & also state those words to them while expressing to Clay how rude that text was. Btw, no names were called on either parties! Amazing experience! I was searching for gyms in the area since I recently moved here and saw this location had highly positive reviews, so I signed up for a 7-day free trial to scope the gym out and was impressed with the tour and experience I had with Clay. It's a significantly smaller gym than I'm used to coming from LA Fitness and Gold's, but it is the most well-organized and cleanest gym I've ever been to. The equipment is very well-maintained (no torn yoga mats or foam rollers, missing chunks from dumbbells, tears in the seats of benches and machines, etc.) and it doesn't smell/isn't stuffy inside which was a huge selling point for me! It also has nearly all of the accessories I need (bands, hip thrust pads, barbell clips, etc.) so I don't need to bring my gym duffel either. There isn't a studio room or locker room, but they do have three bathrooms and open storage if you want to leave your keys, water bottle, etc. while you workout. It's a small space so I'm not worried about my items getting stolen since they're in plain view. During my tour, Clay informed me that I could use my health insurance to cover a portion or all of my membership. I wasn't aware of this perk and he couldn't find it in his system, so he suggested I call them to see if I was eligible and I was! I greatly appreciated this because they could've chosen to not let me know and had me sign up through them directly. He was informative and cleared up any questions I had. I have been a member at this particular location for a few years. I love this gym! I have used a lot of what this gym has to offer--from personal training to small group training. Everyone I have encountered that works here, including the owner, has always been kind, welcoming, and motivating. I workout in the early mornings and see the same people that put in work. This gym is exactly what I was looking for. I love the location, it's never crowded, people are so nice and helpful, its pretty cool to have some of the older dudes cheer me on when I'm just rowing in place going no where, yay me! I haven't had any encounters with creepy people, but I'm pretty anti social so I try to go when it's absolutely dead, they have the feel good air-conditioning, purple is my favorite color yay purple carpet . Everytime I've come in that beautiful squat rack and crash pad are always just open and calling my name yeehaw. I work closer to the windmill location but I just wait till I'm near my house to go to this location. Way way cleaner and the lighting is perfect. This Anytime Fitness is one of the best ones I have visited since I moved here! Good location (for me now, anyway), equipment is up to date, the place is clean, and the staff are really friendly. I particularly enjoy the fact that the treadmills have TVs on them with cable!! Woot! There is Wi-Fi here too, which is pretty much a standard necessity at gyms now-a-days. This gym is not huge, but it's big enough. They have... Cubbies!! I have a place to put my stuff!! And to top it off, there is a couch/seating area up front, something I found was really lacking at the Anytime's in this city. It's also kind of nice the the Purple Penguin is right across the way. Nothing like a low-cal, sweet treat after a long workout!! They have two step machines, five treadmills, five elliptical machines, a bike and rowing machine. No punching bag, but there is not much room for it. Many different strength machines, and one of those "pulley -resistance-weight-pull up" contraptions (sorry, I have no clue what they are called).
