I have a big issue with patrons using their phones while on the equipment. I don't want to spend two hours working out because I have to constantly wait for machines occupied by scrollers. Another issue I have is that patrons leave their bag by machines and go talk to their friends, get water whatever. When you try to use the vacant machine, they come back and say they have two more sets. This drives me nuts. The gym is too crowed this. Another patron was slamming the weights constantly. Overall, I do like the facility and the staff but these issues are getting worse. If they can post big signs discouraging machine phone use, equipment slamming and equipment hogging that may be helpful.

Okay, so hear me out- I'm not saying that this is necessarily a bad place to go to to get a good…read moreworkout in, but I also had a pretty mid/somewhat uncomfortable experience. The workout felt very short-lived and rushed, but the sauna was pretty cool. I went with a friend and saw micro aggression take place in real time. The front desk lady was talking to my friend (who happens to be a black woman) in such a weird way that she was not talking to me in. You could cut the tension with a knife. She just had an attitude about her, almost like she was uncomfortable with her presence. I played it off and cut the tension with some comedic relief aimed at the worker but it was still an uncomfortable experience for me and my friend. To top it all off on our way out the other staff lady looked at my friend, looked at me, and then assumed that my friend was the guest that was brought to the center (probably because my friend happens to be larger than I am....). Which is another micro aggression but aimed at her weight... To my friend, "Oh.... I've never seen YOUU (your kind) here..." Me "woooow you don't remember every single guest that comes into your building?? Wooowww " We all laugh To me, "let me go ahead and get your ID and email in the system" * my friend responds thinking that that was said to her* Lady *scoff* " no not YOU () I don't need yours. I need hers." My friend and i just sit there like I'm pretty sure I even made a joke about her giving us attitude just to ease the tension, but the attitude was literally only directed towards my friend. Later-- when we are about to leave * second worker looks at me and my friend and then back at my friend* "Oh.. you must be the guest" My friend "uhhhh no." So yeah, that was kind of just the gist of what happened. I'm probably missing details. Also, I wanna make it known that I don't think these people are necessarily bad. I don't think that they were even truly aware that it was taking place, but it's important to mention.

This includes wonderful trainers who can take you from zero to hero as far as someone who NEVER works out, to someone who can develop a fitness routine. Programs: Lots of great programs like Tennis-In-No-Time, swim lessons for kids, and as I said before, great trainers you can book to achieve your personal goals. Tons of equipment to choose from in a bright, open space. Some regulars you can get to know and learn techniques from. CONS: Pool area feels too "open". Don't need peep windows all around the pool. I felt weird swimming in there so I never did. Close it off. Management change up/corporate vibe. Don't let you even hold your account for a month now (even though they used to). It's a pricey, luxury gym with clients that pay more to get more so making people jump through tons of hoops to hold a month for travel, work, etc doesn't gel with that vibe. If you give a months notice this should allow plenty of time to adjust staffing. You have to pay extra for a lot of stuff, so in order to use a lot of what really makes a gym like this worth the extra $ in the first place, you have pay EVEN MORE. Otherwise you are mostly utilizing equipment, classes, and such that you can get at other gyms for way less.
