Phenomenal facility and staff! We were staying in Myrtle Beach, SC on our foodie adventure and decided to invest in an Anytime Fitness Membership. So glad that we did!!! This facility far exceeds any previous Anytime Fitness we've ever visited! Everyone is incredibly friendly, the facility is clean, equipment is put away and they even have amazing speciality bars (Kabuki Strength) which were so wonderful to use! Long story short ... good gym avoid the owner David Jr. Long story: I have been going to this gym for a year. I always go real early in the morning and there are a few regulars that are just extremely nice and good people. The gym has good equipment and is kept in a clean, uncluttered way. Usually the owner is not in at 6:30 in the morning when I routinely leave. He was today. I got done with my hour long walk/run on the treadmill and wiped everything down that a person could possibly touch. I got my stuff and went to leave. Owner came out of his office and asked me if I was leaving and I said yes. He said, "Are you just going to leave the treadmill like that?" I walked over to the treadmill and showed him that I had carefully wiped down everything above the supports. He looked down at the track/steps and said "you left puddles". To his point, I am a large guy and I do sweat a lot. I got a rag and cleaned the sides and the belt. Someone may have complained and that may be why he was in earlier than usual. If that is the case, I apologize to whoever was bothered with how I have been leaving the treadmill. I have never seen anyone been asked to do this, and when I asked if the other people using the treadmills would be instructed to clean the base, he would not answer the question. He just kept saying "you left puddles". I have never seen anyone clean the track area, but I am happy to do it. I have a problem with the aggressive way I was approached and the lack of respect I was shown. It may be that this owner only wants fit, good looking people in his gym. I am not sure, but this seemed like it could be a bit of an issue with my size and how much I sweat. I will keep going as it is two doors down from the nicest sauna/cold plunge space! There has never been a day I have gone into this gym and not come out feeling better, and it's not just because of working out. The gym is kept meticulously clean and the owners are outstanding! They Sir Rob and His son Rob Jr greet you with a smile and usually by name when you come in and it is always a friendly environment. Everyone is engaging, friendly, and helpful, and always a happy and fun conversationalist. The equipment is top of the line and of a wide variety. I like the size of the gym and the availability of equipment even during busy times of the day. Plus, having access 24/7 is a definite bonus, knowing you can go anytime the mood strikes or schedules allow. I would highly recommend everyone. Most of my gym members use their silver- sneaker benefit trough their insurance to access free membership. read more

I travel often and visit alot of different gyms accross the country. Spent a month and a half in this facility. All great reviews from me. Extremely clean, and smells good, towels and cleaning sprays were always available..even the ceiling fans are maintained for cleanliness. Equipment is in great shape. The owners were extremely friendly and professional. Highly recommend this facility. read more

Horribly run company. They can't keep employees. Talk to every employee they had and they will tell you what a jerk David is. I was loyal member since the day they opened. I brought them business. Both my parents died suddenly and i had to move. My bank cancelled debit accounts without my knowledge and anytime fitness threatens me that they are going to collections so i pay the balance immediately after finding out about the mistake and then find that 10 days after the payment was made, they still turned me over to collections. $109 was so important to them that they turn you into collections. Right at a time during a national pandemic. They gym was and is not worth the expensive monthly fee. The equipment is never maintained, dumbells were glued together. If you want a crap gym and get ripped off, go there. read more

I was very pleased with this Anytime Fitness location. The gym was large and clean, with a diverse, modern array of equipment that was logically arranged. The attendant was a friendly and attentive young lady who readily answered my questions. As of writing, I can think of nothing bad to say about this place. Very nice and clean and very nice staff. With that said after you follow your contract good luck trying to not auto renew.... its absolutely ridiculous what y'all are putting me through! For the first 6 months of my membership I was very happy with Anytime Fitness. However, since the beginning of 2021 my opinion has changed a great deal. As more people started coming to the gym their safety standards in regard to the virus really slipped, to the point that I just haven't felt safe. In addition, the manner in which the gym is run has turned me off. As the weather has gotten nicer, there has been less and less staff around. The only day that it is supposed to be without staff is on Sunday but it has been my experience that more and more the staff has been absent. More importantly, when you sign up, at least in my case, the person did not mention that your membership will be on auto renew. As your date for renewal gets closer and if you want to cancel, they tell you that there's nothing that they can do and that you have to deal with an outside billing company. You are on your own. They certainly are quick enough to take your payment info and charge you when you sign up but disappear when it's renewal time. By the way, the outside billing company is no picnic to deal with. Also, when I asked the woman in charge how much notice I needed to give to cancel, she said to call the billing company a few days before the renewal date. and they will cancel. WRONG! You have to give at least 15 days notice. I'll assume that she didn't know but that says something. read more

Very good location. Easy access. Wide selection of equipment. Love the gym record board. Weights go up to 100lbs on the dumbbells, and has 2 barbell bench presses. Plenty of space to move around, and are not judgemental like planet fitness was. read more

I personally like this gym. Especially considering the options that we have in the Garden City Surfside Market Common area. It is in a great location especially if you are a student at HGTC, its right around the corner. The price is fair, the owners seem to be good people. I do suggest their female staff members be more friendly, especially to their female clients. The girls that work there, they have a typical competitive attitude, they don't smile ever or greet people. That seems to be the norm with gyms in this area, not sure why, especially if you are a regular. Also a heads up, the owner is hard core about signing in your guests and paying for them when they aren't at the desk, as he should be. Only, be prepared to have proof that you paid, he will call the cops in a heart beat or accuse you of lying if he thinks you are cheating him. He is over the top, so be ready to prove your innocence. I think this gym is the best in the area, which doesn't say much. It is still all we have at this point thats worth going to thats clean and very well watched if you are concerned about safety. read more

I stopped by this gym several times while staying in Myrtle Beach. They have two squat racks which is always nice to see. There is also an excellent assortment of machines including the not so common hack-squat. The gym is very clean with many towels/spray bottles for cleaning off equipment. I would definitely recommend this gym to people in the area. read more

Great gym! New equipment, clean facility, professional staff. Campers need to visit this gym when in town.

I visited this gym while visiting myrtle. The gym was clean but very small. Does have two squat racks and dumbbell free weights but only one pair of each weight. No locker rooms just a shower bathroom and two other large rest rooms. Contains a cubby open area as well. I'm giving it three stars because one day pass is 15$ and if you are a guest, you have to go during staffed hours which are extremely limited. I went on the weekend and I believe Friday it was from 10-3, Saturday 10-1, and no staffed hours on Sunday. Don't be fooled by the 24hrs sign if you are a visitor. Did like how nobody bothered me while I worked out and it was not crowded at all on Saturday after 11am. read more
