we had an amazing time renting a pontoon boat for our family from Myrtle Beach Watersports. Team was amazing and boat was awesome. Never drove a boat before, and they make it super easy and give you all the information you need. My son is in a wheelchair, and he was able to get into the boat from the dock (out of the chair). I went on the 2-hour jet ski/dolphin sighting tour. I was a solo rider paired with three others. As soon as we left the wake zone, our leader, Zack, could tell I was an experienced rider whereas the other three were not and were going very slowly. He stopped the whole group, came back to me and said it wasn't fair to me so he called another skier to come out and take me on a private trip. That was so thoughtful and I really appreciated it. I had the best time out on the ocean. We didn't see any dolphins cuz the sea was rough but I had a blast jumping 5-foot waves! (My new guide asked me what I was comfortable doing). Had a great experience renting a 150hp tritoon with water slide. MBW even let me push my reservation out for no fee due to questionable weather. The boat was nearly new and accommodated my family of nine (6-adults; 3-kids under 6) with plenty of room. I've captained a pontoon on lakes in the past and managed this one just fine, but you certainly do need to be more aware of other larger boats and the tides. read more

My family and I had a great experience! This was our first time riding jet skis and we booked the dolphin watch tour. Unfortunately, we missed the 10am slot we initially booked because I mixed up the locations, but they were kind enough to fit us in for 12:30. Before heading out on the water, a man instructed us on how to operate the jet skis and provided advice that I found very helpful. My son (14) rode with me. When we started, I was very nervous--gripping the handlebar too tight, braking too much--but once I calmed down and started following that advice, I felt much more confident and in control. In fact, I became very comfortable racing around at full speed, and I think I did pretty awesome for a first-timer! Meanwhile, my husband was much more cautious--and slower... Our kind tour guide was very patient (unlike me!) every time we had to stop and wait for him to catch up. Our daughter (17) rode with him, and at one point, they were able to switch places. I think she was a much better driver! I got so carried away on the jet skis that I almost forgot about the dolphins, but my husband said he saw one. Overall, we had an AMAZING time! First time riding jet skies and it definitely won't be the last. My family did the two hour dolphin tour during Memorial weekend and had an ABSOLUTELY BLAST!!! Our guide, Alex, was super friendly and patient, Steve (the manager/owner, I believe) was super accommodating, he took our group picture (attached) and helped me secure my GoPro camera on the jet ski before hitting the waves. We saw two dolphins during our excursion. Our tour lasted a lil longer than 2 hours (my fault for moving slow, lol). All-in-all it was a great time, looking forward to the next. read more

Cannot saY enough about this place. My boyfriend and I booked the 1 hour jet ski ride. (Unlike some comments we had no problem finding it) We both had road before, so they did a quick recap and then let us loose. The people that first check you in were kinda dull. But once you get down to the dock they have friendly and helpful staff. The man driving the golf cart was very nice, as well as the younger guy with longer reddish hair. One of the best jet skiing experience I've had. They explained everything you needed to know. They allowed you to "open up" the ski They left you alone and didn't enforce a shit ton of rules and restrictions on you. I was able to Max out my jetski @ 40mph - I loved it. ( not too many rental companies allow that freedom ) Our entire party of 9 all had a great time and would definitely recommend myrtle beach water sports. We booked the earliest time slot. (The cost is nearly 1/2 price when compared to 11am slots or later - just a heads up) The staff here is great. They got our party signed up and out on the water in about 15minutes. Did the 8 am 1 hr jet ski experience on a Friday morning with my Husband, Dad, and two sons 11&7. Booking was easy. Getting checked in pretty easy girl talked super fast so was semi hard to follow her Instructions but she was super friendly. We had 3 skis. Guys down at the water were so nice and informative. The one guy who accompanied us out to the water and helped us out was awesome! I was so scared and didn't feel safe he kept coming around to check on me and ask if I needed help on the water!! Great tour! We saw all kinds of dolphins. My 16 year old and I had never ridden Waverunners before, but the staff made sure we were comfortable before heading out and the whole trip. It was pretty choppy at first, but we slowed down, but it calmed down and everything went great. read more

My Hubs has been trying to get me to jet ski for 10 years! I'm not a very adventurous person, outside of a simple hike or calm trail horse ride... Called for rain all day, the other couple there was rained out the day before. I was the only person in the group that never ridden before, guide was informative took his time explaining. It was kind of a race in between the wake zones, freaked me out at first, he'd circle back and give me tips. I mean the goal was to get to the ocean to see dolphins- not sight see down the river... Once hit the ocean was scary, super high waves, you could tell he was looking for the dolphins, plus trying to check on all of us... When the last 2 weren't catching up we all went back, felt so bad the girl was having a panic attack. He got us all to an island to have a break, I was little thankful myself, for the break, it was fun- but hard work. They were a little short staffed, he apologized had to cut our trip short, head back with her. Going back I felt more comfortable so our little rode back with me, Hubs was happy he got to play, jump, circle about while we all got ready to head back. Our little swore she saw a dolphin jump, but I was too focused trying to NOT jump the jet ski on the waves.. Can't guarantee your gonna see a wild animal. Esp when called for bad weather the entire weekend... Guide was great combo of easy going- so you had fun- but down to business when he needed to be. We went back the next day for a boat rental, was a blast too, but honestly think I would've liked to do the jet skies again instead... but we had others in our group that couldn't (pregnant, and new mama with a 6 mo old, needed a good family activity) FYI had no luck magnet fishing.... Slide was super fun, for 1/2 our group, I was chicken.... Wasn't super impressed with the rest of Myrtle beach, but this place is a must do again if we ever go back! read more

Very hard to found, there is no sign or anything. Very confusing on the parking, where to park. Once you found the place the staff is very nice and friendly. The walk from the office to the jet ski is good distance. When you get down to the docks they don't have lockers or anything for you to put your stuff, there a black bin that everyone shares and puts there stuff in it. We rented the pontoon boat this pst weekend. Initially we had to wait because the people who had the boat before us were extremely late coming back in. They kept us updated along the way as we waited and apologized (even though it wasn't their fault) customer service was awesome and they took great care of us. The guy who walked us through everything when we first got on the boat was super nice and extremely helpful. I believe his name was Sam (short dreads). And the other workers felt close while we were driving but not so close that we felt watched The boat was clean and everything looked fairly new. The slide was SOOO FUN! Loved this place so much we went back a second time during the weekend. Easy check in process. First jet ski rental was booked couple days ahead of time. Two days later I called for another rental and they fit us in no problem within couple hours. First time was driving up and down a long stretch of waterway. It's fun and good for first time adventurers. You can go fast though. Our jet ski was running little slow and staff told me that something must have gotten sucked up and offered to have us go back out on another jet ski after we were done with our hour trip. We declined because we weren't dissatisfied and only mentioned the slower speed casually. We still had a good time. Second time we went out on the ocean which is intense. You're going to jump waves and get roughed up some but we like that kind of adventure so it was perfect. Staff was friendly at both places and we would definitely go back when in Myrtle. read more

Our party rented 5 jet skis for their early Bird special one morning. Staff was informative and very professional. Gave us first timers a quick safety lesson and we were off in the water. They stayed with us most of the time if they saw us getting too close to the land or near a boat.,I felt much safer knowing help was close by. It was alright, let me start off by saying I'm an adrenaline junkie and I've been on around 50 skis so this review may vary but they don't necessarily have jet skis, they're slow skis. They're capped at 30 mph and you don't get to go out to the ocean. The lady at the front desk was really nice hence why the 3 stars. But y'all need to take those training wheels off! read more

My wife and I paid for a 2 hour Jet Ski Dolphin Tour. It was cold and windy on our day, it was nice for the first 20 minutes, going down the canal, but once we started to go out to the ocean the water was MUCH too choppy for any vessel much less Jet Ski's. It would've been impossible to get out to the ocean on that day so we turned around and went back. The weather wasn't the company's fault. However, our guide didn't show much concern for our safety and I would've appreciated a courtesy warning, before we went out, that the weather might not be ideal since the wind was 17 mph and maybe we should've rescheduled. But, the thing that made me mad was that they could only give us a 25% refund since we were out there for about an hour total. So basically, we paid $176 for a "Not so good experience" and of course no Dolphins. Again, they couldn't have helped the weather but the way that they handled the situation could've been much better in my opinion. read more
