I appreciate their kindness and ability to keep me motivated during the workout. I even hit it off with a few members and looked forward to seeing them at our class. However::: The music is incredibly loud, even with ear plugs. If you find it a challenge to concentrate with loud music, you've been warned. They do not offer ear plugs. (Not when I was there anyways). There's no showers, no locker rooms. Shared cubbies on the workout floor seemed to be just fine for their programs. I had a week long freebie and then took the $190 plunge for a one month-to-month membership. The cost really bothered me. I spoke to many trainers and front desk folks about the cost being incredibly high and they all understood but that was it. There was a good membership sale which I almost signed up for: an 18 month contract (it was a much better monthly price at $120ish) but wised up after reading online about gym memberships about being notoriously insane to get out of once you sign. On their contract it says that if the business closes for any reason (including pandemics) but continue to offer online courses, you will not be let out of your contract. NOPE. I do not have a crystal ball and I find these kind of contracts unsettling. I had more clarifying questions, and the front desk person continued to tell me how much she LOVED seeing me and that I MADE the experience GREAT. I asked her to tone it down and be authentic, but she continued to express how much Burn LOVES me. Really? You don't even know me! This person I had seen twice and she did not tone it down when I asked her to. If you have disposable income and want to get your ass kicked and need childcare, this is a good fit for you. As a single person on a budget without a need for childcare, Burn was a rip-off. When I emailed to cancel my membership, I had a feeling i would run into problems, so I put a hold on my card. Its a good thing I did because it took them 5 days to reply, and the person who replied to my email was incredibly rude blaming me for "too late notice for canceling" and that I "was lucky he would not continue to run my card". Budgeted-buyer-beware. Also, why is it so expensive? I hope those trainers are making $150+/session because it is they who are the stars of the show.

However, I have never been in such an a warmhearted and passionate community. The trainers are so attentive and encouraging. In a room with 35+ people, they'll still find a way to motivate each individual person. Not to mention they keep track of important things like injuries and check in frequently to make sure you're feeling good. As someone who just moved far away from family for the first time, I really am so lucky that I found such a beautiful community while also working toward bettering myself. If you're on the fence, do it! I promise you'll love it.

The equipment and space are really well-cared for and clean; equipment is cleaned in between each class. The coaching staff is fantastic and the community there is incredibly welcoming and encouraging with lots of camaraderie. The workouts are challenging; I would never push myself this hard on my own in a standard gym. The movements are all scalable to be as easy or as difficult as you want, and coaches will always check in during the guided warm up to see how you're doing; you can ask for modifications before class, during that check in, and often coaches will share modifications preemptively during the demonstration before class begins. The location is really accessible, sitting near the intersection of North Albany Rd and Hwy 20. Can't recommend enough!

There is a sauna and jacuzzi in each locker room, on site tanning, massage, and personal trainers. They also have some great instructors, some of which have worked there for over TWENTY years!!
