I have been working out regularly for about 8 years. I had been dealing with back and neck pain…read morerelated to posture. I have been training with Anthony for 10 months. He immediately identified weak muscle groups, and he has effectively shown me how to strengthen my back and shoulders. I have never done the same workout twice. He is amazing at integrating kettlebells, TRX, BOSU, free weights, resistance bands, ViPR, full body movement, and animal flow movement into training sessions. I feel like my posture is greatly improved. I have gained more muscle in my legs and back than I could have imagined. Anthony has so much enthusiasm for helping his clients with their fitness goals. He makes the time in the gym a lot of fun. I am so grateful for the opportunity to train with him, and I am excited to see what he has for my next challenge.

Over the years I've had Physical therapy for various issues and there has never been a more…read moreprofessional team and atmosphere than VB PT and wellness. I was determined to find a center such as this after months of shoulder pain and a subsequent rotator cuff surgery. I did not want yet another clinic where you are evaluated by a PT and then treated through PTAs and I felt like a number after the initial consultation. PTAs are very knowledgeable and work very hard but the PT must monitor them to ensure safety and proper protocols. My previous experience with same shoulder at a chain type clinic was so poor and I made little to no progress. Also, as a retired nurse with a lot of exposure to therapists in the clinical settings, I knew good therapy and fair therapy. I vowed I'd work to find the best this time. The whole experience here was amazing. The staff is so incredibly knowledgeable and personal and they truly have a team approach and everyone knows the plan of care and follows it. They are friendly, inviting and appear invested in really helping their patients at every level. I always felt listened to, respected and confident that I was in good hands. I drove 30 minutes to my appointments and will continue to again when/if I need therapy. I'd rather feel like I'm getting not only a lot out of my investment of time and money than mediocre care for convenience. The gym has many types of equipment to use and they use many helpful modalities such as TENS unit, ice, heat, traction, massage etc which is sometimes not even offered in other PT settings. I never once felt like a number or that they were rushing me or any other client in and out. The patients were progressing and they too seemed to appreciate their care. Health care professionals KNOW good care when they see it and this facility is top notch. Also, the front desk staff were always professional and responsive which is another positive for this type of business.

This is my 2nd OT studio. I joined at the Red Mill location but this location is WAY more…read moreconvenient for me. I was a bit intimidated at 1st because of the location I thought the people would not be as friendly. And I was wrong! The staff has always been so friendly and also the coaches. Same vibe as the Red Mill location. It's clean, plenty of parking, wide variety of classes available and very friendly staff. I am enjoying this location - well....honestly I will again after I come out of my winter hibernation. I have no excuse - it's across the street from my work. See you soon.

I have been going to Orangetheory (this location) for almost 2 years now. If I wrote this review…read morelast year at this exact time, it would be totally different. Last year (2023), somewhere between May and July, they had a change in studio management, and it was honestly the best thing they could have done. The SA (front desk staff) are always welcoming, friendly, and personable. I don't know how they remember everyone's name and the conversation they have. If they know you have a BIG day coming up or a celebration, they always try to celebrate with you. They also do a very great job of keeping the studio clean. When you're in class you will see them cleaning the lobby, bathroom etc. I have never felt icky using the bathroom or taking a shower at this studio. If you ever have a question or issue, Jo, the studio manager, as well as the SA's, are pretty responsive. The workout at orangetheory is what I would consider a 60 min HIIT style circuit. They have three main class formats 3G, 2G class & tornado. In a 3G class, you will be on the row machine, treadmill, and floor (strength) for about 14/15 minutes. There is a 5 minute warm-up and cool down as well. In a 2G class, one station is either paired with another like a row/run, or one machine can be completely removed, usually the rower. The other template you might see is the tornado. It pops up every once in a while. I personally hate tornadoes. It's too much switching for me, so I normally dont sign up for them. I do however recommend everyone to take one tornado class and come up with your own opinion. One of the things I love about the Orangetheory brand is that the workout template is the same at all their studios. It doesn't matter if you're at a class in MD or right here at Hilltop, same workout, other than 2G version, or 3G version. There is a coach present in each class that will go over the workout instructions and, if needed, will correct your form. I definitely have my favorites, but all the coaches at Hilltop do a pretty good job of trying to be attentive and helping us if needed. If there is an exercise you are not able to do, they are always willing to give you a modification that works for you. Each coach creates their own music playlist, and for the most part, they all have good music taste, lol. Orangetheory is a membership gym without a yearly contract. You can cancel at any time with a 30-day notice. They offer 3 different monthly options as well as class packs. Every once in a while, they will offer membership discounts/sales. Your first class is free as long as you live in Virginia Beach. They also have a sister studio in the Redmill area with the same ownership & management team. If you do get a membership or class pack, they encourage you to purchase a Heart rate monitor. The Heart rate monitor isn't mandatory, but I do enjoy seeing my stats on the board. Overall, I would highly recommend giving Orangetheroy a try. It will definitely be a great workout that you might end up getting addicted to.

A little boy who was bigger than my daughter was allowed to tell her where to go and try to direct her against her will. The employee present did not correct the situation or ensure my child felt safe. As a parent, that was extremely unsettling. Staff should be paying attention and stepping in when one child is trying to control or push another child around. Allowing that kind of situation to continue without intervention creates an unsafe environment. On top of that, after I cancelled my subscription and informed them that I was cancelling, they still charged me for an additional month. Being billed after cancelling is unacceptable. Between the unsafe situation involving my child and being charged after cancelling, I cannot recommend this business. Parents should be cautious.
